  1. Just made a huge load of money while also training leatherworking by creating a bunch of Green Leather Armor. I made almost 100% profit buying out heavy leather and selling the armor at 10g a piece. Unfortunately they no longer raise my leatherworking every time.
  2. I'm up for it too, just need to put together a decent team. I guess we'll be using the Smogon server?
  3. [spoiler=Spoiler]I assume this is the dry ice level. Stick to the right path, the left path does have a fan geyser but it's closer to her stage and too much trouble to hold. My strategy was to take the unoccupied fan geyser closest to your stage. Put out two or three groups of headbangers and a single thunderhog. When you see Ophelia's troops heading towards you, send them over, taking out the brides quickly with the Facemelter. Once you've established your foothold around the three geysers, upgrade your stage to the next level and fill out your troop limit with Fire Barons. Take what's left of your starting force back to your stage and hold them there, while leading the fire barons in a charge around the right path. The fire barons are great against vehicles, and too fast to get hurt by the grave diggers, unless they are severely outnumbered. Your main focus should still be the brides, taking them out with facemelters. The speed reduction from brides stacks, and if your fire barons get bogged down they'll get torn apart. Once your fire barons have done their thing against Ophelia's troops, rebuild all the fire barons you've lost while having the remaining group hold ground nearby, taking out any new units she builds. You can take out her fan geysers if you want, but it's not necessary as the firebarons should be able to take out anything she builds. Once you've maxed out on fire barons, send the new ones to back up the ones holding ground near Ophelia's stage for the final push.
  4. Yeah, but when does he really? The only games I can recall him genuinely liking are Portal and Saints Row 2.

Has anyone picked this up yet? It's an open world hack and slash adventure game with RTS elements by Tim Schafer, who has been responsible for writing and/or designing several major LucasArts adventure games as well as Psychonauts. You play Eddie Riggs, the best roadie in the world, who gets transported to a heavy metal-themed world after some blood spills on his magical belt buckle. He soon finds an axe (melee attacks), guitar (pyro effects) and car (transportation), and finds out he has the power to restore artefacts left in the world by the titans of metal. He uses his powers to rally the human resistance against Emperor Dovilicus and his right hand man General Lionwhyte. There are basically two kinds of storyline missions: straight hack and slash, where you control Eddie and a limited number of units (Headbangers, Razor Girls, Bouncers, etc.) and Stage Battles, where you build and defend a stage while flying over the battlefield giving orders, gathering resources by building merchandise booths over fan geysers and converting those fans into units. There's also a bunch of different optional missions (guiding a mortar cannon, killing a herd of diseased animals, leading an ambush, winning a race, etc.). The world is just gorgeously designed, and everything about the game screams "metal", from the demon horn statues randomly popping up out of the ground to trees that have exhaust pipes growing out of them. The voice acting is also brilliant, with Jack Black voicing the protagonist, Mötorhead's Lemmie voicing The Killmaster, a healer who uses a base guitar to restore your units, and Ozzie Osbourne as the Guardian of Metal, who sells you upgrades in return for fire tributes, which can be earned by completing the aforementioned missions or discovering new areas. The game also features a soundtrack with over 70 licensed songs from various genres of metal.
  6. Well, I ran the Deadmines for the first time today, which is where I got my Cape of the Brotherhood. On my first attempt we got wiped out because the other hunter in the party didn't have their pet set to defensive. The guy actually tried to blame my pet for it, but there's a pretty big difference between a grey bear and a pink raptor. I had a way better group on my second run though, and they basically talked me through the whole dungeon after I explained to them that this was my first character.
  7. My current character: http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=The+Sha%27tar&cn=Ragnus&gn=Stonefoot+Clan Suggestions?
  8. Meh, they completely missed the point about professional wrestling, or at least the professional wrestling . The opening scene would at least have made some sense if Edge and Cena switched their lines.

People who post stuff like PS2 games depress me :( On topic:
  10. The Sha'tar, and my character name is Ragnus (level 12 dwarven hunter).

I just finished preparations for tonight's dinner. I cooked up a pan of polenta, fried up some nice and spicy Italian sausages, then buttered up a bread tin, put in a layer of polenta, then sausages, then polenta, then sausages again. The whole contraption will sit in the refrigerator for the rest of the day, and for dinner I'll cut it into into ~1.5 cm slices and fry it up in olive oil. I'll be serving it with onions and bell peppers that will have been sweated in the same olive oil and then deglazed with some red wine.
  12. If anything, the coffeeshop system here has prevented marijuana from being a gateway drug. If marijuana is illegal and you have to buy it from some dealer on a street corner, the step to hard drugs is much smaller than if it's available off a menu in a clean establishment that follows strict health codes.
  13. Locked. You're about five months late to the party. -Necromagus, Tip.It Mod.
  14. Made some huge steps forward with my character today. I'm now level 11 (went to the hunter trainer for the pet quests immediately after getting level 10, the XP from those already put me halfway to level 11), and a journeyman in skinning and leatherworking. Just kind of exploring right now, heading in the general direction of Loch Modan. Getting a bear has made so much difference for me in combat that it's not even funny.
  15. Well, I'm level 7 now, doing minor quests and stuff like that. I did save up enough money to buy an ornate blunderbuss, but unfortunately I haven't been able to try it yet due to my writing job keeping me busy on Mondays.

  18. Looks like the game is trying to save me from myself. The version I installed from the DVD is 2.1.0, and when it tries to patch itself I get an error.
  19. Ok, let's say I accidentally obtained a copy of this game and let's say I actually want to try it out... what server would be best to play on? And horde or alliance? I'm at GMT +1, for what it's worth.
  20. Yo Jimmy and Rainy, I'm really happy for you and I'ma let you finish, but anyone is a better forum game player of all time.
  21. Yo Nic, I'm really happy for you and I'ma let you finish, but Newptor is one of the best admins of all time.
  22. Well, did some more work on it today: With and without water falling from the top, added tiles to the bottom of the waterway and made some transparent water. I might actually try to animate that if I'm feeling truly masochistic :D
  23. The problem is with the innermost pillars. In the line version, you can see that they connect somewhere under the platforms, but without the lines it seems that they're part of the front, if that makes any sense at all.
