  1. As for your Chandelure, I'd swap out Fire Blast for Will-o-Wisp. It'll both cripple physical attackers and double the power of Hex. It might be worthwhile to rebreed your Conkeldurr for Drain Punch, which is one of the best fighting moves in the game now. Unfortunately Iron Fist isn't available for it yet. Eelektross makes a very good mixed attacker, so moves like Wild Charge and Crunch are also worth considering.

  3. The best ability for Litwik is Shadow Tag. Since that one isn't available yet, Flash Fire. As for EVs, just focus everything on on speed and special attack.

  5. When using Whimsicott to set up Trick Room, you should know that Prankster doesn't work too well with it. It does raise the priority from -7 to -6, but in practice it means that you're usually going last anyway. Also, it's kind of funny how effective some of the older sets can be. I've been having a lot of fun with the old-fashioned wall breaker mixed Infernape. There's nothing quite like using Nasty Plot, having the opponent switch in a Chansey, and then nailing it with Close Combat. The popularity of Ferrothorn as a physical wall makes Infernape more useful too. The only real problem I've been running into is that somehow I always seem to run into Swamperts when I'm using HP Ice and Gliscors when I'm using Grass Knot.
  6. Well, I finally got Pokemon Online working. Their teambuilder is pretty smooth, I already have about 50 different pokémon in my boxes. I also scored my first ragequit in my third test battle with the team I'm planning to run. With the rate I'm churning out Pokemon, I'll probably have an entirely different team by the time I'm done though.
  7. I'm having trouble getting Pokémon Online to run on Ubuntu. I really hope I don't have to resort to Wine. I have something special in store for all of you.
  8. One of my favourite games that I haven't seen mentioned in this thread yet is SSX 3. I loved the mechanic where in stead of separate courses, the game basically took place on a giant mountain that you unlocked in three stages. Once the whole mountain was unlocked, you could basically take a helicopter all the way to the top of the mountain, and ride it all the way down to the city at the bottom. The higher up the mountain you got, the more rugged the landscape became, with chasms and deadfalls pretty much everywhere. The controls were great too, very easy to pick up on for someone who never played the game before. The game featured great art direction, with most courses being outlined with bright neon lights and colourful customizable characters.

  11. Dual Strike is such an awesome move in the current competitive environment. Perfect sub breaker. Not much use in-game though, except for OHKOing the rare Sturdy Pokémon. But yeah, Haxorus is a very decent physical dragon. Unfortunately any dragon pokémon will always be measured against the standard set by Salamence/Garchomp/Hydreigon. Thankfully Haxorus beats out all three on sheer attack power, but it's just a few points in speed short of beating out those three. This is why I'd always run DD over Swords Dance or Hone Claws.

  14. It's still pretty solid in-game though. It can carve through pretty much anything using just DD and Dragon Claw, For its other two slots, there are plenty of decent filler moves even prior to the E4, such as Aerial Ace, X-Scissor and Shadow Claw, which can be swapped out as needed for whatever coverage is required at the moment.
  15. In all the posts that have been pruned from this topic, I've seen flaming, trolling, censor evasion and more. I strongly suggest that anyone who continues to post in this topic doesn't do so until they've read through the forum rules again. The more often moderators have to do mass prunings like this, the less likely it is that a thread is allowed to stay open no matter how popular it is. With that being said, carry on. -Necromagus, Tip.It Mod. PS:
  16. Ah, that certainly makes things a lot easier. I'm having trouble anyway, as WiFi recognizes my newly created Pokémon for the Frankenstein-esque lumps of mismatched code that they actually are. Oh well, I'll try again by using Pokesav to create two parents, then try to breed these malformed critters to see if the babies come out slightly less dysfunctional.

  18. I'm learning Pokesav, and it looks like I should have a team ready (all legal, naturally) in time for whatever tournament you're hosting. Thankfully Smogon is back too.
  19. I did way better in the Dream World today. A Tangela with Regenerator and an Exeggcute with Harvest. The latter should be a lot of fun to use, as I already have access to Lum berries on the save file it's on.

  21. Cubchoo is mediocre at best. You seem to be very heavy on physical attackers. Joltik for SImisage would be a good start (especially since you can get the Thunderbolt TM as soon as you get Surf). You can get a Yamask in the top floors of the Relic Castle, which would probably be a good pick for the sixth slot.
  22. It would help if you posted your team so far, and the kind of Pokémon you're looking for.
  23. Normally when you breed two Pokémon, the egg will get three IVs from the father and three from the mother, chosen at random. To pass on the IVs you want to pass on, you'll have to use the Power items that you can buy in the Battle Subway. In your case, the Power Anklet for speed and the Power Bracer for attack. Unfortunately, this means that you won't be able to influence the nature of the eggs. When you give either Pokémon you're breeding an Everstone, the eggs will have a 50% chance of matching the mother's nature.
  24. You don't need the Dowsing Machine to get a Smoke Ball. Team Plasma leaves one behind in the building where you chase them off in Castelia City.
  25. Ah, didn't know they were available there too. Also, I missed out on a freaking Kangashkan while in the Dream World due to an error. Now I have to choose between an Early Bird Sunkern or a Guts Shinx with Magnet Rise.
