  1. Latino, I think you accidentally quoted me instead of rpg on the last page. No big deal though. And pirate, I think that antimatter is used to start nuclear fusion (or would theoretically if we ever had enough). While it doesn't exactly create a nuclear fusion reaction all by itself, it's pretty close to it. I think. I could be totally wrong. A lot of the science behind it confuses me, due to me not having several phd's. Dungeonal, to be fair, how about we just say that continuing off that companies research, now with government funding, you'll have a working model of plasma shielding ready in a couple of years. That sound ok? And I think having something that big floating would take a huge amount of energy. You could build a space ship that big, eventually, but I don't think it would work for anything terrestrial. You can still use plasma shielding for other stuff though. A sheath of plasma around a plane or missile will also increase how aerodynamic it is by a good amount.
  2. Well, I think it's impossible for me to not be tan, from my experience atleast, heh. But I'll probably think about that next time I'm buying stuff for my hair, thanks.
  3. Faster than light travel makes my brain hurt. If a ship traveled to a planet 10 lightyears away, in 5 years, they could look back with a telescope and see their ship launching from earth, and see it getting closer and closer to the planet they were on, until it finally reached them and merged with them.
  4. It's making enough that she gets a little bit extra, but not enough for her to afford insurance on top of that. Why should your tax dollars pay for keeping people with life sentences alive in prison for another 50 years?
  5. Shotguns are awesome. I don't think an under barrel will be overpowered though, because if it takes as long to switch to as a noob tube, then you would have to switch to it before you got engaged in cqb.
  6. That seems pretty fair. I think if possible, wars should have a mediator to call stuff out (Though I do that normally) And antimatter is just impractical period. I rechecked my facts, and it would take about 420 quadrillion dollars to make a gram of antimatter, and even if production was increased by 100000% it would still take about 20 million years to produce that gram. Also, if it was used in weapons, it would be a nuclear fusion reaction, which is against the rules. EDIT: I mean using that as a weapon is against the rules. It would be like shooting someone with a pistol loaded with a nuclear bomb. As for 5, that rules out faster than light travel. So I agree.
  7. I'll just give an example. I know this one woman, I use to get guitar lessons from her. She owns her own business, a house (which she has to rent out), and has been working ridiculously hard since she got out of college (She's like 29). But, despite all this, she can't afford health insurance, and as a result, a serious problem with her foot can't be diagnosed because she can't afford an MRI, and then probably wouldn't be able to fund the insurance. I know there are problems with the system that's proposed, but we'll see how it works out.
  8. Plus with modern day bombs, dropping a few hundred would wipe out most of the army. And they'd have defense against icbm's since they're no longer in his country.
  9. I'm still ridiculously jealous of your hair and your complexion.
  10. The first one is finished, the second one was started a few years back. The first one is currently not orbiting earth. Once it gets back it will have it's Plasma shields installed.
  11. Latino, how do you supply 100 million troops? How do you outfit them? How do you train them? How do you supply them once they're out in the field? In real life, about 100 million ak-47's have been made, and they are the most common weapon, and there are probably as many ak-47's as all other assault rifles combined (I'm guessing there). So I have no idea where you would get 100 million guns. Your army before the war was roughly 3 million, so you just increased your army size by 33. With the loss off 97 million people for important tasks such as farming the rest of your country falls into a deep economic depression, and tens of millions are on the brink of starvation. Then there's the problem of transporting the troops. Let's say each person need's a 1x1 area to stand when marching, this means they would take up an 18,000 square mile area. If they each take up a ridiculously small 8x2 area when not marching, they would take up 288,000 square mile area, for reference, that's about Texas, and then two Massachusetts, of soldiers, packed together with very little room. How in gods name would you supply something like that? It would be impossible, because to get to the middle of the encampment, it would take several days or weeks. During that time, most of the people would starve, or die from disease. Back at home, the people are rioting due to the ridiculous draft. Then in order to get from China to the edge of Germania's territory, you'd have to march over 2000 miles. A marching army of that size could only, at best, move at 2 miles an hour for 12 hours of the day. It would take you at least 85 days to reach there, if the terrain was all flat, on roads, and with no obstacles. Reasonably, it would take you close to a year. During that year, 95% of the soldiers would die from previously "extinct" diseases, such as the black plague, and then many more would die from influenza and exposure. Even if cures were available, try producing 100,000,000 vaccines, then delivering them to every single one of your soldiers. It's impossible. tl;dr: 100 million people is impossible, and it would end china EDIT: How exactly is that kept in the air dungeonal? And plasma shielding, the only people with research into that are me and Russia. That's bigger than most space ships, and those are able to stay in the are because there is very very little gravity. That thing is just impossible.
  12. If he hit tokyo, he could probably have killed upwards of 5 million people.
  13. One satellite could not hold more than one or two sets. Let's say you launched 7, from high orbit. That would take about an hour for the rods to hit, so even if you launched them at the arc cannon, it would still kill the satellites. Also, I'm guessing you launched enough to destroy 1 or 2 cities mostly (not kill everyone, but heavily damage all the infrastructure), damage a few others, and then maybe a military base or two.
  14. Well, the way hvr satellites work is a main hub tells the things where to move, they move there, then drop the rods immediately, the rods have fins which can alter their course enough that they can land pretty much anywhere within a good area of where they dropped. Considering the satellites could be up to 25,000 miles above the earth, they could probably drop the rods from above russia and still have them hit Japan.
  15. It's possible for a satellite to orbit the earth in as little as 1 and a half hours. But russia is extremely close to Japan, so if the satellites started near the russian border, they could have been over Japan in just a few minutes.
  16. Well the firing process is ridiculously simple: Release the rods, then the onboard computers do the rest.
  17. Ah, I new I missed something. And I imagine they got a few more off than that, it would take time to aim, a laser, and since it's already over japan it could probably drop a few dozen sets of hvr's and they would be able to guide themselves to their targets.
  18. more specific, who has troops where and how many, what technology is being utilised and how, etc etc read the god damn thread if you want exact details. We all had to -.- I love how everytime Germany has to help somebody they "secretly" plant exlposives all over it. Yu'd think that wouldn't work a second time. Well considering they built the ship it wouldn't be too hard to rig the reactor with explosives, or something like that.
  19. Uh, I'll try to summarize what I can remember. Sorry to anyone if I don't use your country's new names, too much to remember. Iran, (I think) Japan, Luxembourg launched icbms, malaysia moved their walkers closer to Germany, along with a few million troops. Findenland attacked from sweden, aether attacked africa, and I think parts of germany, Israel is using it's air force to harass africa, kazakhstan is fighting in ethiopia, and that's all I can remember. I imagine Japan is in a state of disrepair after you bombarded it. Not much new has happened since we were all waiting on dusty.
  20. Not that much overall, more icbm's firing, malaysia attacking, and so on.
  21. I'd be willing to bet that the fall in U2 song purchases is due to a lack of interest period. And they're selling tickets for that much because they can, and using pirating as an excuse.
  22. Well I'm guessing that based on the post times of when people launched, they were all launched over a period of a few days to a week. So it's not like they were all in the air at once. But maybe a few made it through. We'll see.
  23. I really have no idea. Try customer support, or googling it.
  24. Fair enough. I don't imagine they'll be too effective due to the missile shield though.
  25. Remember, I share a border with Germany, and if even one citizen is infected, bad things will happen.
