  1. I remember reading about it a while back, it's how much they're willing to expend or pay per person I think... Just because if they didn't have a protocol on that they could spend huge amounts of money to recover a single person. I forget how it works exactly.
  2. GG This game is now a screaming match. I say it is summer. For the record, I have a lot of forces + the Russian military on my side in western Russia, so good-going. I say it's winter, look at the time. 7:24 PM EST. That means that it's mid october or so. I guess it's not quite winter then. But once you get a bit further north there will be snow. And in a little bit, it'll actually be winter. I'll wait for your post archi to go more in depth with defenses and the like. Another major factor is that the soldiers I'm sending in are Russians, Brazilians who've been living in Norway, or Terran soldiers. Considering they sent in soldiers from india, the weather would completely wreck them.
  3. Alright, given that it's winter ingame right now, thousands or millions of your soldiers will die. Also, invading siberia is stupid. It's 13 million km2 of nothing. The Terran soldiers (including russians) will be able to easily counter anything you send from that area. Oh, and I'm shipping something from Norway towards the border with Aether. It is extremely guarded.
  4. If I remember right, the U.S. government said that the human life is worth about $1.4-1.6 million dollars. Somewhere around there. Not sure if you meant actual money, but... On Topic: Was he really American-born? An AOL article said he was Iraqi. Didn't say anything about where he was born, though. Do you remember where that was said? I find it odd that they would publicly state something like that. Not to mention assigning a static value is pointless because not everyone is worth the same. I think it has to do with when people are held hostage.

    Live Concerts

Wow, some of my friends would die to go to that show. We the kings sucked live. Atleast when I saw them.
  6. Alright, I guess I'll take the federation, and russia. Due to the advancements into Russia, the Terran Federation formally declares war against all Earth members of the NWO, unless any of them don't want to get involved.
  7. I like the scattergun better. The way I usually play a scout is just flanking, and getting behind people. Then I fire once, they might turn around if they're lucky, and fire again and they're dead. Then I still have 4 shots to take out the guy standing next to them who noticed me.
  8. On the map can we just have Russia as unclaimed? Since it's disputed right now. Remember, I have 150,000 troops in russia now, so someone could take that and use it as a reason for war. Also, Indy isn't active right now, and a while ago he said I could control Norway while he was gone, so I'll just have the former Teran/Norway thing be neutral for now, till he posts. The Navy is in its position. Basically, it's impossible to get to the Americas now without being detected and intercepted by a ship. All that I have left of my Earth fleet is now above Central America. Habitats are taking securing measures, including concealment, and locking all the blast doors, and basically removing themselves from the map. All my border defenses are now active. The three hundred thousand troops in South Africa are on full alert along the border.
  9. Retech, considering that I have the largest navy in the game, including submarines, and one of the top space defense systems you would be lucky to get into earth's orbit
  10. Go into Brazilian controlled waters (See: All around the americas.) and things will not go well for you.
  11. Lets be realists, scientists tend to know squat about what the future will hold. In 1950 they claimed that robots were, at most, 10 years away, they also claimed that Y2K would kill us all and that Nuclear Weapons would end all war. The truth may be out there, but it certainly isn't in there.... And there's only one answer to that. http://www.snopes.com/business/genius/spacepen.asp Mather, we decided to break realism in a way that would keep the game still fair, without breaking physics too much. Live with it.
  12. Mather, I still have yet to figure out how you calculated the amount of energy needed for one of your warp holes.
  13. Brazilian navy deployed to form it's standard bi-continental perimeter.
  14. Well, given that Norway is my ally I'll be in any war. And I can't war judge since my forces are moving into Russia from the south (not to capture the land, but prevent it's capture at all)
  15. You have to be kidding me. ... What? We weren't severely attacked. Some terrorists flew a plane into a building. No country invaded. The number of civilians killed, not to mention soldiers as a result of the afghanistan war alone (not counting iraq, because there are no links between 9/11 and iraq really) has hugely exceeded the number of people killed on 9.11.
  16. Ok, here's what apparently happened. All of Russia, minus 2 million people pledged allegiance to the country they've been at odds with for the entire game. And before you say only western Russia did, look at a population density map. All of Russia's population is there practically. How about a real war?
  17. Problem with talking about transition fossils is that people complain that there are no transition fossils in between them and so on. We're not gonna find every fossil of everything that has ever lived, obviously.
  18. How about we just say that the people joining you banded together and commissioned transports to be built from private companies. That work?
  19. Okay firstly its a really bad idea to steal ships from every person in the game. It kind of sets your relationship off on the wrong foot. Secondly you couldnt have stolen them from certain people like because we are so spread out. Thirdly I thought you were socialist. Fourthly you start out with almost all of the tech in the ships aside from mine and no you did not steal mine mine are heavily guarded and armed. Fifthly if you tried to take them from ross his icarus drones would slaughter your forces. I don't think that many transports even exist, anyway. And it's not like I've ever been involved in a way unless someone attacked me (and that war lasted a good minute, and was 60 years ago), so no one would join your cause from me.
  20. Well, bound to happen sometime. 150,000 troops stationed in Norway move south. They have orders not to attack Brittainian troops unless fired upon, but are instead allowing the Russian people to keep their own country, and not be absorbed into any other, atleast not until all the important powers have had their say on Russia. The HISF and HISF interceptor planes docked off of Norwegian territory are ready to go, and can reach my troops within 15 minutes of any issues.
  21. Well, we could always start a war over this.
  22. Plus clay shooting off of a rotating clay ball would go straight out, not rotate.
  23. Well, considering the Terran Federation has been the ally of russia for about a hundred years the citizens would be way more likely to support them. Plus, siberia is worthless. All it would mean is tons of lost soldiers and equipment. How would they even "take control of siberia". It's 13 million square kilometers. Most of that is taiga or tundra.
  24. Wait, so how did we decide that they gave control to sere? Atleast wait til dusty posts. The people would actually have a reason to join him.
  25. Wisp

    No.

I used to say no a lot more to people. I've been trying to help people with what they ask more, even if it means interrupting what I'm doing. I don't have a problem saying it, but I rarely have to say no to something anyway.
