  1. I guess I'm getting my projects confused, I've done a lot of reading in relations to this thread, so I guess something else must have cost 300-500 billion And you're not being too liberal with gdp, just keep it down a few percents lower per year (except when you're only going up by 2% a year or something.
  2. The way I calculate spending money is 20% of gdp, then 10-20% of that. Maintaining a country takes a [cabbage]load. If you go over that, you take money away from other stuff, which makes your country worse overall. So if you go over your yearly budget, you go into debt. And the ISS cost like 500 billion, or so. I think 300 billion. And whoever wanted to buy 10 million AK's, that'd be 20 billion. Ready next year. Also, you guys are being a lot more liberal than I was with gdp, but as long as it's not too out of hand it's ok. What exactly is the purpose of the NWO?
  3. How exactly do you plan to hit a plane with a single rock, if the plane is going like 4 miles every second. And that would lead to less tax money for you.
  4. Eh, just take some cargo boats and send them on a long route through the southern atlantic. My ships won't shoot at them if they don't attack me.
  5. Unless you've invested about 1.3 trillion and 40 years into building subs constantly, you have nowhere near that many.
  6. Alright. We'll just say negotiations went south and they instead opted to join Lux. I'm too tired to fix the map. Bleh.
  7. You could have Malawi, since it wouldn't really break any supply lines since it's just in the middle of your stuff. I haven't really done anything there yet, so we can just pretend I never had it.
  8. How and when did you get Tanzania? I definiatly expressed interest in it before you had it, and by the looks of the map, you have more than enough land. Do your diplomatic stances belittle my own? I'd like to debate it. I think I had posted about it before you did, I remember you posted about Malawi a day or two after I did. I meant that with how the subs power down, I guess I just forgot to say it. All that seems fair, I'll keep trying to get convoys to Portugal, but since you control all that area it will be hard. Don't forget about the huge offensive being mounted in Kenya right now. I didn't really do anything to stop those because it would spread my navy too thin, and I didn't see a way to do it. I guess defending prince edward Island with what I have there isn't going to be too effective, so my soldiers are ordered to retreat, laying traps if possible. I'll also start evacuating Quebecois to safety in the US. by I assume you mean Brazil owned territory (quebec in this case), not Brazil itself. Since we've been catching a lot of troops trying to sneak through our lines, we're upping our searches for any that got through, using dogs, though I don't expect to be too successful. We're still just working on fortifying the perimeter around your beachhead, and not doing any counter-attacks just yet. I don't think I had more than a few hundred thousand in Norway, and not all of them went, so I'll say it was an attack of 50,000. We're holding the beachhead, and not trying to push forward. We hope to hold there as long as we can, until something can support them. Extra troops have been moved in from our southern African colonies, and are waiting behind the lines for an opportune moment. We're upping the amount of guards for convoys, and giving them helicopter support where we can. I don't expect this to stop all of the attacks, but I hope to increase the number of successful convoys, if nothing else. Defenses in south america and central america are strong, and our blockade along the atlantic should prevent most sneak attacks. Note: Both hallucination and non hallucination: We're starting research on a new type of plane. It's a specialized version of the HISF. Also, I just checked. My post mentioning those countries was page 130.
  9. Guess who doesn't understand how a radio works.
  10. My submarines are going to be out laying low in front of my ships (30 miles or so away) on the bottom, which means they're 100% impossible to find by radar, since they would just appear to be a part of the ocean floor to any radar. I don't have that many, but the point of them is to engage any submarines we catch on sonar out in front of our ships. I don't have enough to stop all attacks, but I hope to atleast hamper some. Nice tactics for portugal, by the way. That's probably one of the better things you could have done, I'd say we're still at a stalemate, but you'll probably win eventually due to how isolated it is. Garrisoned troops in Tanzania are trying to isolate the Germans, proving difficult due to the size of the country. We're taking heavier losses than the Germans there, but we're hoping to simply outlast them with supplies and numbers. In quebec, we're trying to do our best to hold them at the beach, and are digging trenches, and moving in prefab defenses by truck. We're gathering out forces in the US behind our frontlines, so we're not as disorganized as we were in our first counterattack. We're also increasing patrols along the aether-US and Brittania-US border. We're starting to try to push into Northern Denmark with some of the troops we had stationed in Norway. I don't expect we're making much progress, other than maybe a beachhead. Taking heavier casualties than the defenders here, though I think we outnumber them for now, until reinforcements come. More troops are being moved into kenya, in order to help hold the line. The weakness of the HISF's is their massive costs, and repair times. They cost a few billion each (unlike Jerusalem's magical 200m super plane), and I can only really target important targets, otherwise I would waste them, since each plane can only go once every day or two. Or up to a week, if I send a ton out at once. Sorry if I missed any attacks. Ok, for Ross/Malaysia, I'll do this. I'll say this. First, the number of drones destroyed passing through any countries on the way to malaysia, from weather, civilians, or mechanical failure. 1-20 means less that 5%, 21-40 means 10%, 41-75 means 15% and 76-100 means up to 20%. 11. 3% were destroyed, leaving 970,000. Number destroyed by harassing Malaysian planes or artillery before reaching the border 1-20 means less that 5%, 21-40 means 10%, 41-75 means 15% and 76-100 means up to 20%. 48 12% 850,000 reach malaysian border. Once you move further in, and he posts again, I'll do casualties for that. I think I missed a chunk of whats been going on in your war, if someone could summarize that?
  11. Ok, I'll judge. Can you summarize it? With mirrors, they would pretty much diffuse a lot of the energy, but the heat would melt through them eventually. The laser would do less damage, but it would still do some. I don't think they would actually bounce off, and if they did they would dissipate before getting back to earth due to the loss of energy.
  12. I did miss that, whoops. Let's just pretend I said that major quebec cities are being fortified with veteran troops, and planes are being launched from Central American airbases. Most of my forces in the US are closer to the Aether-Brazil border, so we're marching those (along with mobile aa, not as advanced as you're MAAS's, but still usable). towards quebec. All civilians in the former US have retreated into underground habitats, the main doors have been sealed, and camouflaged. So in otherwords, the civilian part of the US is untouchable, but the land itself is not, since the cities are almost impenetrable (A direct bomb would probably just cave in the first level, leaving the rest unreachable. They're self sustaining, so even if they were trapped they would be fine.) A few ships that were in the area of Quebec are trying to hold off the assault, but there aren't enough of them to do anything more than hit and run attacks. The panama canal is now closed to all but military, brazilian vessels. And I think everything else you said is reasonable. And um, for portugal, we're trying to hold the line as best we can. Roads are being destroyed in areas where Germans will soon march through (like a few miles in front of where you broke through) in order to slow their movement, and hamper supply trucks and the like. Civilians are being evacuated to mainland Brazil by any means possible. Boats are protected by two destroyers, and planes don't go anywhere near germans. Cities are being prepared for defense, roadblocks are being made, traps set, and so on. I have a new proposed alternative to the war mechanic. If two people who do detailed posts, and are usually reasonable, like dusty and I have a fight, and we don't have any disagreements, we can handle the war ourselves. However, if I want to contest something, and dusty disagrees, then a war judge comes in. I like that better, that way war progresses without having to wait for a judge to post, and it saves the judge a lot of time. Of course if two countries wanted to use a war judge for all battles, they could.
  13. I think I can give judging your moves a shot. Just need Dusty's next move. Also, my pods carry 15 drones each. Think of it like flatpacked furniture. Robots don't need personal space  There are 2580 drones currently in Malaysia. They have been instructed to climb the HAWs, and launch their weapons directly into the joints from a point blank range. I was responding to Dusty's move. Or do we need three moves to judge? Not sure.
  14. Edited my war post a bit so there's less of me saying what happened, and rather what I'm going to do, in order to work with the new war mechanic. Who's gonna judge?
  15. I'll judge the other posts once I reread them. But first I'll say what I'm doing with dusty attacking me. But first, three things: 1: If someone asks you a question about your army, you have to tell them. Unless it's a secret thing. So for example, if I asked dusty if his ground troops were wearing exo-suits, he would have to tell me. Otherwise there would be no way for me to know, and if would be kind of hard for me not to notice giant robotic people attacking me. 2: I suggest people don't reveal any secret weapons they have in this fake war, because it's fake. I won't reveal a few things I have kicking around. 3: If you want to post something about what you're doing in the real game, keep it simple and say "non-hallucination" or something before it. Anyways. Firstly, we are mostly abandoning Somalia. All citizens are either being evacuated, or if they want to fight, given weapons (We've been mass producing those guns I posted about for selling). Most of the cities in that area have no less than 10 thousand or so defenders waiting for attack. We're using what troops we have in our northern parts of Africa (low compared to south america) to try to hold the Germans back at strategic locations. I have about a million and a half soldiers in that area. They've taken heavy losses from artillery, but they're now holding out in locations where it's difficult to be hit, and ambushing German squads when possible. The amount of enemies killed vs men lost is pretty much equal at this point. We've been pushed back 40/retreated back or so miles into the DRC, but we're holding the line in kenya, and are taking some losses in Uganda. We've mobilized our planes based in africa, mostly HISF bombers since those are the only ones that stand a chance against his anti-air. They go very, very fast, and the bomb dropping is all computerized, so it's still accurate at the speeds they go at. 150 are engaging german troops near the frontlines, aiming specifically for MAAS's, and any supply depots. We'll probably have lost a couple, mainly due to unluckiness, since to shoot down those things it mostly takes luck. Most of them are undergoing repairs from their missions at airbases, since they take some structural damage from flying at their max speed. Summary: We're being pushed back in the drc, we're arming civilians all over, holding the line in kenya and uganda, and somalia is pretty much being left to guerrillas to defend. Portugal is where I have a high amount of soldiers and static defenses, they're trying to hold the line mostly, The germans are probably taking heavier losses than us here. In the atlantic, I've had most of my ships spread across their for the past 15 years. They're engaging the Germans, though it's pretty much a stalemate. HISFS are engaged in combat, many will need to be repaired after missions though. All our other ships are on standby, and waiting to defend the Americas. Troops in the Americas are being amassed, most civilians are being evacuated to bomb shelters or underground habitats. All satellites are now in geosynchronous orbits over Brazil, all space stations are in the center of rings of anti-ship/satellite platforms. All of my ships are not orbiting earth. Any satellites nearing my area will be shot down.
  16. How about this. I'll be the judge, unless I get involved. If I get involved, here's how it will work. I'll judge any fight not regarding me, Dusty will judge any fight including me but not germania, and Ross will judge any fight between me and Dusty?
  17. I idled during the first like week or few days or whatever when getting the new stuff was almost impossible. I still have all the items (Other than maybe a couple medic things, never got around to that), and lost no hats so I don't really care, but the fact that valve made it so you had like a 1 in 15 chance to get the item you want, and you get an item like once an hour if you're lucky at the start was kind of stupid, so that's why I idled then.
  18. I think air pressure wouldn't work at all. It would also be stupid, because something like a missile is dependent on the round itself to make it go. Whereas, in the middle of a fight, you could just run out of pressurized air in the tank. I don't really see any reason for having something like that when you could just have a missile launcher or something. I'll think about that. Maybe we should just see what the situation is next time there's a war.
  19. Well, either way, your shooting something 1800 times heavier 2-5 times as far.
  20. That's great and all, but few people here seem to understand how warfare works. I could put 200,000 troops down on the ground in western europe, and they could last for years. It's not like millions of people would be fighting eachother at once. If 1000 troops were well entrenched in a base with good anti air capabilities, and lots of supplies, they could last against millions of enemy troops, in theory. The defender almost always has the advantage. That's why the Axis lasted so long in WWII, even though they had a lot less people, and killed way more Allies. Imagine in real life, an army of 1,000,000 is up against new york city. All civilians have been evacuated, and there are 10,000 defenders throughout the city. The defenders could hide in thousands of different buildings, set traps, ambush small groups, and probably kill a huge chunk of the attacking force. The city has tens of thousands of buildings and alleys, and sewers, and access tunnels. The attackers would have to go building to building, room to room, in order to defeat the defenders, even though they outnumber them 100 to 1. Now imagine the defenders have 25 million square kilometers to hide in. That's why Germany would still have an advantage even if they were outnumbered 10-1, if they used the correct strategies.
  21. Yeah, I can. I used to have a a 4500 psi paintball gun. That shoots a 3.5 gram paintball like two hundred feet. You said yours shoots a 17 pound grenade (roughly 1,800 times heavier) 500 feet, with a 25% more compressed tank.
  22. That's fine about the whole me not getting India by the way, even though it would double my population. (though not my GDP. India would still need a lot of work since Adrenal hasn't really posted much, so it wouldn't be as bad as in real life, but not up to other owned country's standards). I also think giving it to either me, or rocco would be the best choice since neither of us have ever been his enemy. The reason he says I won't attack him is not because we have a NAP or an alliance, but simply because it would be pointless. We would just bomb the hell out of eachother, lose hundreds of millions of people, and leave our countries in poverty and disaster. I also think a 17 pound grenade is one of the stupidest things I have ever heard. Carrying even one would make movement difficult. The heaviest normal bowling ball is 15 pounds, try throwing one of those. You wouldn't get it more than a few feet. So his grenades are considered "suicide". Even a strong person couldn't throw a 17 pound object overhand (especially not one that's compacted into a grenade sized object) for more than like 5 feet. With the promise of cheap housing and jobs, more people are able to have kids, our growth rate has increased by 25%. (Not to 25%, just whatever our growth rate was is 25% more). Underground cities continue to be built, and people are moving in rapidly. We hope to get the former US back up to it's former population eventually, along with Mexico, as those two countries are where most of these cities are. First testing ship is complete, it's pretty simple. Updated basic stats for brazil: [hide=]Population of all nations: 1,258,631,905 Total land coverage: 30,225,000 km2 Average GDP per capita (This has taken a hit due to new countries): 22,900 GDP: 28.3 trillion Total Tax Revenue Annually: about 5.8 trillion Total "expendable" money: 1.4 trillion[/hide] What was your suggestion again? I missed it.
  23. Here's the thing. If you guys want to invade india, go crazy. They're not invincible. It's still controlled by dusty, he can have them fight back. India would have 2.4 billion people by this point, so they'd be tough to beat. Plus if dusty feels like it, he can protect them with his empire.
  24. That's stupid. It's not like the Russian government wouldn't know about where the bases were. You can't expect him to know something his predecessors did. And it's Murmansk, and St. Petersburg.
