I heard Santas jumped to 20.4M average now. That's a good sign. Anyways rares are supposed to rise and fall. They don't always rise, sometimes they fall a little. So when they rise (double, triple, etc), people like to sell the rares and wait for them to fall, then buy.

But Christmas is fun. lol I don't see what the big deal is really. Jobs close on Christmas, schools, etc. So even the secular people still celebrate it. Anyways most of the items they release are based on RS gods. (H'ween masks, etc)

That sounds like an awful lot of Santa hats. Anyways the lower demand for green halloween masks keep them below the value of Santa hats, correct? Really according to everyone's estimates, you all agree there are like 2-3k green masks but 10-20k Santa hats.

Just wondering.... Does the amount of rares always affect prices? According to your estimates, there are way less green masks than Santa hats, yet Santa hats are worth more. Also I heard green masks are supposed to rise considerably during the summer. What is is supposed to rise to? I know Santas are more popular, so that explains the higher price.

I (as well as others I'm sure) am wondering how many rares are left in the game. Santas - ? Green Halloween Masks - ? Blue Halloween Masks - ? Red Halloween Masks - ? Easter Eggs - ? Disks of Returning - ? Pumpkins - ? Half Wines - ? Purple P'Hat - ? Yellow P'Hat - ? Green P'Hat - ? Red P'Hat - ? White P'Hat - ? Blue P'Hat - ? Christmas Crackers - ? A long list... Well anyways does anyone know? I see masks/Santa hats a lot, so I'm guessing there are at least 500 in the game. Thus, they are still not that high in value...yet. I also know the only reason why party hats went up so high was because of the '03 Phat Dupe in which Jagex banned a ton of accounts with party hats, so many were destroyed. low supply + high demand = high prices

So even if rares all crash to hell, you can still be one of the few that continues to own them as people freaked out and stopped buying, thus stopped selling. Anyways eventually Jagex's "toys" used to distract the poorer class of RuneScape from getting rares would start to suck and then everyone would want something original in the game. Like one of the first items released. Basically a rare can be a good investment as it'll stay the same, drop a little then rise or whatever. But it's also fun knowing it was from someone that got it in a drop in 2001 or 2002 when the game first came out.

So will rares go back to normal prices again? And how often do they raise? I'm wanting to know because I sold everything to buy a Santa hat because of bank space issues. -.- Now I'm working on buying stuff in this order: -Pharoah sceptre -whip -Ahrim -infinity boots -infinity gloves -fury -mage book -sleeping cap (Unless I get from a clue.)

lol Well I'm keeping this thing. Eventually it'll go back up and even higher. This summer it's supposed to either level out to normal or shoot up. Anyways my first rare ftw.
