Here's how I see the situation concerning Jagex, fan sites, and game adverts. It's like a paranoid boyfriend telling his girlfriend that she cannot talk to her guy friends and that she can only have his number in her cellphone because he's worried that she may cheat on him (even though this is unfounded). Jagex is seriously worried that they will lose revenue if we go play other MMO games. :roll:

Regret: Being lazy during 10th and 11th grade and waiting until the last minute to submit scholarship applications and [cabbage]. I was just shy of being an honor grad because I made a 2.8 GPA in my intermediate years in high school even though I made a 3.9 GPA in my freshman and senior years. I could have also been close to being valedictorian/salutatorian if I would've taken more AP classes instead of being lazy and only taking one a year.

Has anything else that Jagex has done recently made sense? Perhaps the dragon defender will come in pieces. The pieces are tradable, but putting it together requires the completion of a quest/having a rune defender. And the pieces would be bought out by merchant clans the first day it comes out. Really, the only way that the DF would work (if it was tradable) is if it was sold in a shop after completing a quest, much like how the dragon battle axe is sold in the Heroes' Guild after finishing the quest of the same name. Otherwise, it would only be bought out, and thousands of players wouldn't be able to even enjoy the content because some douchebags decided to ruin the fun for everyone else. Lately, Jagex has been too quick to make every new item a monster drop (I suppose it's the easiest thing to do for them), but quite frankly, that's what is ruining the game. Not many people care about playing the game anymore. Instead, it's only about getting as many GPs as you can possibly obtain.

I agree. If they can't appreciate us for being their most loyal and longest-lasting fansite, screw them. They have no business telling us what we can and can not advertise. I'm glad the MMO that I play now is run by college students who don't care about making money, and the game's pretty good too. Hell, their community is at least twenty times better than that of Runescape's. They're only a little stricter in the Runescape boards. In off-topic and everywhere else, the mods/admins are actually more lenient.
