Aye. However, I do believe that it would be interesting for European empires to work together on some things. Anyway, another 10,000 Knights will be finished with their training by the end of the decade. Commonwealth military (air force, navy, etc.) is being built up to its levels in real life. This includes Denmark, Norway, Ireland, Iceland, and the UK. Archive purposes: 450,000 Active 900,000 Reserve 360,000 Colonial militia 500 Knights of the Order Some more volunteers have joined the Holy Imperial Order, bringing its total amount of members to 26,500. Knights are also trained to serve as officers in the Grand Army (if there is a shortage). The string of fortifications continue to be built along the southern Danish border and the southern and eastern Norwegian borders. Hlidskjalf is currently being built in Svalbard.

UK Politics Discussion
Labour just sent my dad something in the mail today... I know my dad's part of the Christian Social movement, but I didn't realize that he actually gets something from the British Labour Party... He didn't even know. Anyway, I'm going to read this letter and see what it's all about. EDIT: It's the Christian Socialist Movement. Why the hell was it marked "Labour Party" though? It's even postmarked from London, Great Britain.

Electronic Music
[hide]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3BMVbeMS3CY[/hide] [hide]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KOwKZmyAJ7k[/hide] The first one is very atmospheric, although it has a 'militaristic' beat to it, in my opinion. The second one is a little disturbing, though. [hide]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vxQxqm_jInU[/hide] This one isn't really electronic music, but I thought that it was worth mentioning because I remember it from a dark ambient thread a while back. Now for real electronic/dance: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oq3345Yocxk Very peaceful. EDIT: Let's not forget 009 Sound System. They have some of the best trance that I have heard on the net. EDIT #2: There's a French radio station on iTunes called M-Deux (M2). It has a lot of dance/trance music. :) http://www.m2radio.fr/ Thank God I know enough French in order to read some articles and navigate through the website.

What would the world be like without the United States?
Unless France didn't deliberately piss off and mistreat Germany like it did after World War I... Besides, I don't think that you can, without a shadow of a doubt, state that the Axis would have won the war without the US involved. If the British lost England and the Isles, they would have salvaged what they could and would have fought a massive war from their vast empire.

The Commonwealth has authorized nuclear rearmament. For every year, a nuclear weapon will be developed. As a result, the nuclear budget is 1 billion every year, for a total of 10b per decade.

No, this is serious.

Apparently, it is. I foresaw this coming and asked Archi to remove the last option for fear that it would cause confusion. However, the fact remains that most people want Hex gone, for one reason or another...

What would the world be like without the United States?
It depends on how you look at it, but saying "well we're all from Africa anyway" is a poor argument in and of itself. My point was that, without the founding of the American colonies, my chance of ever coming into being would be nil; unlikely at the very best. So from my perspective, that's a very significant thing [for me].

Especially when it's our goddamn language in the first place. Actually, it is ours as well. In case you didn't know, we are of the same blood. Although I do think that Websterization of the English language kind of damaged it. Yes! A still-existent British Empire would be awesome. :P Also, the government at London wouldn't have to directly govern us. We could have been peacefully granted Home Rule, and the Empire could have devolved into some sort of loose affiliation with the King as its leader. That would have probably prevented the American Revolution.

You did receive a warning. We all did. You have just conveniently ignored it so you could justify yourself by saying "Well, I didn't know!"

I don't have to do that since it's blatantly obvious. Refer to the admin post about rape. I also happen to have a screenshot of one of his posts where he blatantly posted something with offensive language on it. The fact is that he broke the rules. He should go. Well then we're banning Mather too, he was involved in the rape thing too. And we all use offensive language. Just chill out, for christ's sake. Mather received a warning for that, which Hex would have received as well (we all did). Still, Hex implied rape in a few of his posts a couple of weeks back. Basically, he received a warning and blatantly broke the rules anyway. Therefore, he should be banned. Also, concerning offensive language... Hex has been known to circumvent the censor and then immediately edit his posts shortly afterward and then come up with some sort of dumb-[wagon] excuse for it. He should be banned for breaking forum rules (and personally I would go for a permanent ban rather than simply kicking him out of this subforum), and if you don't think he should, then you're naive.

Hex purposefully breaks forum rules and then comes up with excuses so he doesn't get banned. He's a troll, and we may as well get rid of him now while the going's good. He will act good for a while before trying to break rules because he thinks he can get away with it. If you vote 'No', then you're essentially supporting the rule-breaking. It is totally unrelated to the actual gameplay. He's rude, obnoxious, and offensive. Go read the thread titled "Heads Up" on this subforum. It's about him.

What would the world be like without the United States?
If the United States never existed (including the Colonies), I would not be here. My ancestors would have most likely found someone else in England to make babies with, thus eliminating the possibility of my lineage from ever coming into existence. Likewise, wouldn't England be a little overcrowded? One would think so because a lot of families left England for the New World. Imagine if they all just stayed there... We would probably not have had the French Revolution, and assuming that Spain and France didn't really expand that much into the New World, the indigenous population would have remained intact. We would still have the Cherokee nation, among others. Without the United States, things would simply be completely different. Without the US, we would very likely still be living in a Colonial world since the United States played a significant role in the process of decolonization ("self-determination"). (I know that we're mainly talking about inventions, but it is a bollocks argument compared to the aforementioned, which is more interesting to contemplate.)

SB1070 Immigration Bill passes in Arizona
(I'm not trying to ignore most of your post; I am literally heading off to bed right as I type this.) Concerning the first part, I meant that I believed that you were using 'racism' too broadly, which, by definition, is basically the belief that one's race is superior to another's. Since "queen" is used as a slur against a [male] homosexual, it was a fair assumption. Of course, again, I consider a laissez-faire economy to be true economic liberalism. It doesn't mean that I agree with a completely free market, however. I'm not sure what the modern term would be for someone who is a classical Liberal (I believe it is 'libertarian'?) but I believe that is what I would best be described as. Anyway, I'm off to bed. Good night, everyone.

I honestly don't see how that is racist, considering that I have not heard of "queen" being used as a racist term. On the contrary, I've seen it used in order to ridicule homosexuals, but that isn't racism, my friend. As for the welfare state argument, the main thing that bothers me about such a system is that it makes individuals too dependent on the government. By giving people money during times of need (which isn't a bad thing), you consequentially strip them of their self-reliance. As per my views concerning immigration (seeing as I never clarified) I believe that there should be quotas placed on immigration because we cannot just let everyone in. We already have troubles with consuming more than we produce, so we are a lot more reliant on imports in order to sustain our country. I have only made my previous comments concerning the Arizona legislation because they were taking matters into their own hands instead of letting the Fed dictate everything to them; I believe that the Federal government should be less powerful and that states should be allowed to make more decisions. On the other hand, I do not support the methods by which they are trying to control immigration. Lastly, how do you define 'Liberal'? (I am referring to your comment about Southern Democrats.) Please forgive me, but I tend to look at Enlightenment thought as true Liberalism, so maybe that's the reason why I'm confused.

A plebiscite revealed the following: Lord Protectorship: 80% Restore the old oligarchy: 9% Republicans: 11% Due to the prosperity that the Lord Protector has brought upon the Commonwealth, approval remains high. Likewise, the Lord Protectorship appeals to both republicans and monarchists since it is basically monarchism blended with republicanism. However, the Radical Republicans want Enlightenment-style republicanism (such as the early United States), although the general consensus is that the Commonwealth is heading in that direction anyway.
