  1. 1 + .2 = 1.2 1.2 / 2 = .6 He is averaging them together, I believe.
  2. 1. Hex pissed everyone off, again... 2. I believe Hex attacked you in Asia, and your infrastructure dropped because of the annexures of poor countries.
  3. That's not a very good justification, to be honest. History is filled with conquest, and the United States went to war against Mexico and conquered its northern territories. It's no different from what has happened in places such as Europe for the past 1000+ years. They're only trying to take back what was theirs... (And I'm not trying to advocate this kind of stuff, but it is very hypocritical to argue that it's "their" land while not caring about the conquests that have happened in Europe or any other part of the world over the past centuries. It's just as much as America's land now as it was Mexico's in the 1800s.)
  4. 8.4 billion? There is something wrong here... <.< He probably meant along the lines of 450-500 million. Honest mistake.
  5. Indeed, but the search was called off as far as I know.
  6. The Commonwealth Parliament has approved a massive investigation into Loch Ness. If the creature is indeed confirmed to exist, the Lake will become a national reserve, and strict laws will prevent hunting in the region.
  7. 400,000 active isn't that unreasonable, so I see that we're thinking along the same track. :P I believe that I draw from my actives in order to launch invasions or any sort of military campaign. Then there's the Colonial Militia for other stuff. For emergencies, I would draw from my reserves.
  8. You have more actives than I do! Unless you changed something, you have about 1.5 million actives. (The Commonwealth really wishes that its allies contacted it more and gave it updates on anything that concerns us.)
  9. Edmund Alm has finished the statues in the cities of Copenhagen, Reykjavik, Oslo, and London. The Holy Imperial Order has members in Africa, and the Knights of the Order are protecting the local villages and the members of the Order. Archive stuff: 450,000 Active 900,000 Reserves 350,000 Colonial militia 25,000 Holy Imperial Order 500 Knights
  10. Indeed. The Holy Imperial Order has deployed some of its members into the heart of Africa in order to "bring peace, Christ and enlightenment" to the peoples of the African continent. For areas in which villages are terrorized by insurgent groups such as the Lord's Resistance Army, some people associated with the Order will go and protect them. These men and women will be teachers and missionaries (among others) and they will bring Civilization and knowledge to whom they help. With that said, the Holy Imperial Order has created the Knights of the Order. The Knights are trained gentlemen who have vowed allegiance to God and His Justice and will protect the villagers to the best of their ability. They are characterized by their midnight blue cloaks, which is situated over their white uniforms. Likewise, some armor (such as a bullet-proof vest) is contained underneath their uniforms. They each bear rings symbolizing the Order: a white shield overlaid with a red cross (like that of St. George, but more like a T with a circle overlapping the part of the intersection) with gilding around the shield and the cross. The insides of their rings (silver or stainless steel) contain a Bible verse. Every knight has his own personal sword, but his main weapon of defense is a pistol. Iceland has its own Council now: the Council of Reykjavik.
  11. This is true, but we're making a special exception since this doesn't really offer a significant benefit. It's more along the lines of saying, "I use hydrogen instead of oil. Boy, do I feel special!"
  12. We give so much of ourselves to so many "poor little countries :(" and we get nothing in return. And the rest of the world still hates us, hah. So why bother. We could invade Mexico like we did back in '47. We get more land, and the Mexicans get a better life. Flawless!
  13. Project: Falstad's Process Time: 15 years Bonus: Allows for cheap and efficient production of hydrogen for fuel-cells. Reduces pollution. Cost: 250 billion Speeding up: There's no way that you can speed it up. Notes: Everyone can take advantage of the benefits, but each individual person must do the research (15 years) and pay the 250 billion sum in order to obtain it. The Commonwealth begins researching the Falstad's Process. (This is not a wonder, but it is built around the same concept. This does not involve a "wonder race," and the benefits are open for anyone that completes the research on their own.)
  14. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Wl-OZ3breE The Councils of Oslo and Copenhagen have passed legislation that will seek to create a new language based on Old Norse. Schools will offer the language to students in order for them to choose it as a second or third language. The Commonwealth Parliament is due to vote on the same legislation, which seems likely to pass at the moment. The language course will also teach students how to write in the New Futhark alphabet. (Although the video has Old English, it is still similar to Old Norse and sounds sort of like what the new language will sound like.)
  15. Since it won't cost me any money, I will send people to help the USNA with its Green Revolution and some people to help India with its Market (in exchange for technology from India).
  16. If that's the case, Ross, then I will put 60% into that right now. I will have to evaluate my military spending before deciding how much of the remainder goes into infrastructure.
  17. Well, 60-80% of my AIG was going into infrastructure anyway. Let me clarify something... It will grant me 2X the infrastructure growth of what I would normally have if I just put 60-80% of it into my infrastructure without helping you? Also, does this increase AIG?
  18. Well if it benefits me and benefits you, then I accept your request.
  19. I can vouch for him on this, and I think it's been 10 years, so...
  20. The Weather Paradigm has been canceled. The Commonwealth is now offering to help a smaller country out (for that 2X infrastructure bonus). Anyway, how much does it cost me to help a smaller country, and my IAG will go up as my infrastructure goes up, yes? Likewise, the Commonwealth government (namely the Lord Protector and the Heads of Council of Norway and Denmark) have offered their support for Boer independence in South Africa and wish the Boers good-luck for the set up of the Orange-Transvaal Republik. "We believe that it will really help reduce tensions in the area if the Boers are granted their own homeland," says the Head of Council of Denmark.
  21. The suggestions subforum will remain (the name of it will change obviously). Sounds like a plan. Aye.
  22. And what's that supposed to do? I just went out and bought a bunch of legs and skirts...I hope you're right... Well, he could just be trying to manipulate some prices. ;) Anyway, it's not like similar stuff hasn't been leaked on the high level forums before.
  23. Sounds good to me, but will the Bugs and Suggestions be its own subforum? Or will Suggestions remain an independent subforum while all topics about glitches will be discussed in General Discussion?
  24. Mine's more random. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y6IMkds_p2c
  25. For the record, the island under Italian control is Sardinia. Corsica is owned by the French government.
