how about the rest of the barbarian assault rewards? you could make an entirely untradeable pking outfit out of that. im half tempted to do it. ive been sick of pkers complaining for a long time. even so far as i regularly go into the wildy with a lightish-red skirt on, and an inventory full of newcomer maps. complain about that loot  how many pouches have you lost  become alittle more open-minded...or maybe your brain isn't fully developed #-o

Zammy for me also :) i dunno if its because of the red...or if its because of his stance among the other rs gods  -
Average Set of items PKed (before all this lame untradable [cabbage]): Zerker Helm - 60K Glory Ammy - 55K Rune Plate - 60K Rune legs - 50K Obby Sheild - 300K Obby Cape - 250K --------------------- 775K Total loot Average Set of items Pked (after lame untradable [cabbage]): Neitiznot Helm - 0K Glory Ammy - 55K Fighter torso - 0K Rune legs - 50K Rune Defender - 0K Achievement cape/fire cape - 0K -------------------- 110K total loot This discludes all Barrow items and all weapons my point is....its getting lame...people harrass us (pkers) because were complaining about supieror untradable items being released. It would be like herbs being buyable from a store for 25% of the street value (screwing farmers and herblorist over)....or a crafting guild sellling mass amounts of gems for cheap....destroying the gem market. (screwing over miners and gem merchants)....i could go on. All you non-pkers might not realized (because pking isn't a skill to add to your skill total)....but there is a huge community of people who have spent the same amount of time (if not more) into their account to maximize their win/loss ratio... When jagex releases untradable items that give +str or prayer bonus...it becomes hot commodities in the pking world...thus screwing over people who pk for fun (who likes looking at screenies with rune legs and a weapon?) or those who pk for a living. Just because 80% of rs players are scared to enter the wildy..doesn't mean you have to look down upon us and critize our opinons on new item releases. My suggestion is to make all these items sellable...but not equipable unless you have completed that quest or mini game. Whats the reason for these items being made untradable? to show your quest progresses (New helm)...or the amount of time you spent in a guild or in a mini game. (fire cape, defender, fighter torso) Acheivement/fire capes i can understand...its a GREAT achievement. But why not make these items gainable..but not equipable...or better yet...make a NPC that gives you cash for these items that you cannot wear. Example: Fighter Torso You: I have come across this platemail, but i have no knowledge about this item. NPC: OH! This is only rewarded to players who have gained X amount of points in the fight against the queen" "ill gladly take this item back from you for X amount of gold" At least we get SOMETHING from defeating these people with such superior armour. just my opinion :\

Are you a "Old Timer" or a "RS2 product"?
iMeR replied to lordkrohn1626's topic in General Discussion
this is an online RPG...ur char comes down to how much time you have to spend on the char.....the amount of time you can put into this game shows the status of ur char when someone puts 7 hours a day into his char...and achieves the lvls he wants...after putting countless hours into their char...then they release a way to get to the same point less than 5 times what they spent on their char kinda makes you mad...its like ur struck down upon because you started playing the game before all the fancy graphics.... -

iMeR replied to lordkrohn1626's topic in General Discussion
im an old timer... and its not so much that "old timers" complain that all rs2ers dont know what its like..its just the select few rs2 players that go around thinking that they spent alot of time getting their stats...when 15% of rs players (the old timer...percentage is just a number)...spent 5x the amount of time to reach the same lvl not meant to be an arguement... -

2mil a whip is greater than most of the drop you get from TRAINING on any other creature (you dont go to KQ, Chaos elem..or dag kings to get xp...you go there for the drops)

thats where money for jagex comes into play..everyone wants to be the "strongest"...so jagex introduced a way to get to the max combat...giving people a reason to pay for members...to get to those stats as fast as possible...to give them players a reason to keep paying money jagex = money lovers...but i dont blame them...thats what corperate business do to gain more money
-
to me...thats ironic (i know thats not the word im looking for)...they are both the same thing the only difference is PC has to do with combat...RS2 has do with all other skills... dare to explain the difference (besides what i said above)? you must be one of those people that look at combat as an "age/maturity" difference....which is lame in my opinion...(thanks to rs2) "i know a lvl 120 but im lvl 116 and im so much smarter than him"..comeon now... someone who had 70+ herblore in rsc has so much higher respect than soemone with 70+ herblore all from rs2 (with farming and all) here is what i propose....i want everyone who disagrees with the term "rs2/PC product" to log onto RSC..and try to get at least lvl 70 in any skill...then compare it to RS2...you will relize what WE went through to get our lvls...and to actually put time into the game to get them lvls i will most likely be flamed for my comments..but then again...75% of RS players started after RS2 was released....RSCers know what im talking about.

my opinion on this is: I can see why someone who was lvl 100+ on rsc can get made at someone who spent a month on rs2 getting 100 combat...it took alot more to lvl in RSC...ALOT more time...i dont remember exactly...but i beleive it was about 25K exp max on RSC....now you can easily get 50K xp an hour on RS2...PC has alot to do with this... I went from 70 attack to 77 in 3 days doing PC...which would normally take about 2-3 weeks if you trained 5-6 hours a day...5 days a week....it just angers alot of people who have spent countless hours getting nice skills...then rs2 comes out (and PC) and they can get maxed combat stats in 4 months. i sit at the fishing guild...and when someone asks me my fishing lvl...i tell them 87...they tell me its nooby...but they dont know that i got 83 fishing on RSC...when you had to click everytime you wanted to fish...not click...make sure you dont get a random...minimize ur screen...do something else (watch tv...read forums)...click back and you have a half a load of fish...we had to sit there for hours upon hours clicking every 4 seconds...it angers me....this goes with cooking as well..i got 84 cooking on rsc also....back before the "cook X amount" was released...i spent more hours on those 2 skills than most spent on their entire char...yet they sit and call me a noob

Very interesting post! But what is PJ? Pile Jumping its when Player A is fighting Player B....Player A kills Player B....then a Player C jumps in and tries to kill Player A (when he is picking up his loot...and is low on food)..usually resulting in Player C getting both kills just because he jumped in and used his specials

i haven't read this whole thread (then again im not going to argueing ONE persons posts) I am going to state my opinion: First off...i saw a few people say (not just in this thread...but all other "why do people PK?" threads) "well pkers dont make money..so why do it?" i dont know about other PKers...but the reason i do it is to actually test my characters strength/weakness. Instead of sitting in a cave all day killing "misc. creatures" that most likely never put you in danger....i like to go out and fight someONE who will actually give me a challenge back. Oh, i could sit and fight Portals (in PC), Lessers, or whatever people train on these days...and go straight to 126 combat....but all thats proving is "i have the time to max my stats"....it proves nothing (IMO)... instead i go out...attack someone(who actually controls their character)...use my skills to my advantage...use my knowledge to my advantage...and hope i can overcome the challenge. All PKers know its not always about stats. (monkey_933 or whatever the numbers were proved this) Having certain stats can be an advantage...but its using them at the right time. All im saying is, you need a certain skill (not the kind of skill you can "level") to be a good PKer. Most of the time you see someone post a kill in the Graveyard section. Its not about the money (in my eyes) its about overcoming an ACTUAL CHALLENGE rather than just proving how much time you have to play a game (like most of the non combat skills show) Were not "destructive" people. Also in my years of reading these boards (and scapeboard) alot of people say there is no honour in PKing other people...well i have 2 statements to make on this note: First, dont say there is no honor in PKing...then go off and complain when you get PKed trying to make nats using the abyss. IF you think we have no honour, then dont expect sympathy when we see you skulled with a glory ammy/rune pick/sometimes even armour and we attack you. I know this has been stated many many times before...but its true: The abyss was put in the wilderness for a reason. If you want to make 1K nats in an hour (opposed to 2 hours going the long way) then expect some kind of risk. If PKers stopped pking people using the abyss...then the abyss should be relocated...maybe to varrock square  ... Jagex put it there for a reason.... "Why kill someone for a measly drag ammy?" I dont...but i can see why people do.... "defensless" people with no prayer and no tele runes (why take teles when you can get 2 more nats per run ) are pretty easy to kill...you kill 10 a day that 650K.. (not including rune pick/axe or armour they wear)..with no costs to them Now for my 2nd statement about Honour in the wilderness: There used to be honour and rules in the wildy..ill name a few for people who dont remember or just dont know: -dont take teles -dont PJ -dont prayer 1v1 -dont tag people The reason for these rules is this: It takes no skill to pk someone when using a combination of these "rules" or what most of us consider "unwritten laws"...most honourable PKers PK for the pride they get when overcoming an ACTUAL challenge (back to my main point of this post as you can see) These days, the wildy is filled with a bunch of people who tele or pray when getting their butt kicked...which IMO makes you a bad PKer. THere are only a few people who can actually consider themselves honourable PKers...and they always will be....and for the same reason. They like the challenge. Yea i kinda got off-topic there...so ill stop now Dont forget guys...this is just my OPINION.

Att/Str pures own for KOing Tanks own in DMs (fight til the deaths) when it comes to PKing...ATT/STR pures get more kills..simply becuase people can run from tanks when they know they are eating a hell of a lot more than they are (also they wont be able to KO...since range really has no KOing weapon...along with mage.) whats it called when your lets say 85att 45def 95str+? thats the stats im going for ..when i pk (with my current stats) i seem to do good against both (1 def and 70def pures) btw Ready 2 ryde is current 91 combat - 74att 47def 87str 93range 88mage (musta lagged when using the whip specs...somehow it got on defense and got me 2 def lvls :\)
