I would wager that any "dinosaur" clan has been doing all styles longer than most of the clans have been alive. Just saying..... You are making the assumption that by dinosaur I mean old clans like THE. That is your fault, not mine. I am talking about those who insist on clinging to standards two years gone by, which I explained in my post. THE, obviously, is not one of them. Geez if you think clans that hold onto stuff 2-4 years old are dinosaurs what does that make clans older than that? :-( We technically fall under that category for many things. Just not the example you are using right now in terms of using styles. Change will always make people feel uncomfortable but it is inevitable. Its whether people are willing to accept certain things and adapt that will cause them to survive or not. In many ways I agree with you but I just didnt like some of the wording I guess. We post draws when we outperform an opponent who outnumbered us and/or there were issues within the fight (rule breaking/crashing/etc).

You guys are complaining already and I bet some of you havent actually read the update and understand what it means. First the soaker will not trigger often. The damage soaker doesnt trigger until higher hits are done. Second This will make people LESS likely to welfare as the better armour you wear the more you will soak. This will essentially push people to wear the best they can (within reason). Full rune > dhide in terms of potential soaking (should you get hit 200+) Third people are saying its easier to tell what you are getting hit by most but that isnt necessarily true. People have quick prayers and when you put them up you will IMMEDIATELY get hit by the one you are praying the least. This is usually melee prayer and you will see yourself get hit by range, and/or mage more. People will assume they should switch to the icon thats coming up the most but when you switch your prayer to that style melee will start hitting you a great deal more thus possibly becoming the one hitting you the most. A person is still going to need to be aware of the style ratio of a clan they are fighting to actually be a tank much like it is now. The icons will be an indicator but by NO means will it actually take away from the ability to tank. 'The' Forums | SeersIrc: #theclan | 'The' Runehead Memberlist So earlier in the week we set up a fight with Revolution. Knowing we would have a lower pull due to so many of our members retiring and break for the holidays. As expected our pull wasnt too great so we knew our quality would have to shine through and that it did. Although Revolution managed to outnumber us we pretty much stayed even and actually had them regrouping for periods within the fight. Honestly both piles were not very strong and there were plenty of drag offs from both sides. About an hour into the fight Fools started crashing us and we asked Revolution if they would be okay with CWA since FOOLS were going to continue crashing this fight.... Instead of talking to us they proceeded to just hop and leave the world. Yes we could have claimed the win but we chose not to because of the messiness of it. P.S. Revolution the flaming was not needed by your side nor was the spamming of our IRC. Learn to take a loss/draw. Starting THE - Revolution- Ending for both sides at mossies after 5 mins of regrouping - THE - Revolution - Revolution - About 15 or so logged in(sorry didnt get the right pic)

If you could Turn back time in the clan world, When would you have wanted to be present within your clan? I would have wanted to be in THE a bit longer before the wilderness was taken out. What were the events surrounding that point in your clans life? Top 10 and was a completely different experience. Why does that moment stand out for you the most? I have experienced a great deal with this clan but I have not experienced top 5. I think it would have taught me a great deal and I do think if I had been around earlier we would have been able to keep a more stable/active high council and leadership. Back then it just seems like retirement and stupid stuff happened all at once so no one was there to kinda make sure stuff worked out.

What if the EP system was based on # of people in the world. Essentially based on population 0-2000 would be tied in with EP at 1-25% every 30 mins.

There are going to be those that just throw away this topic altogether. That is fine and it is expected. Many will believe Jagex will never do anything. There however is always that chance that they might actually listen. In the end it is about working with what exactly Jagex is trying to combat when the initially took out the wilderness.... real world trading. Multiple options have been done over the past few years from BH volcano to what our current system is. I have often thought if it is possible to think of a system that takes in our current system and combines it with the old wilderness. This is my idea. Remember that this topic is about if this idea would be accepted by you and what you would do to tweak it while still adhering to Jagex rules and groundwork. Please dont say it wont happen as its purely an idea and I am aware that the likelihood is slim. Right now this is a ROUGH idea. If this were how the wilderness came to be would you like it more or less than our current pvp/bh? What changes would you make to this to possibly make it better?

I honestly dont get it.... it isnt about the clan world as a whole but what your clan does on a singular level. Your own clan is guilty of some of the "dominoes" and you have been leader. They are not fallen until EVERY clan is guilty of it. What is your definition of a fallen domino? Does every clan in the clan world have to do it? We sure as hell dont do half of the "fallen", none of the "falling", and only through breaking from the other clan do we break initial terms. It is reactionary. People focus so much on the negativity that they dont see that there is still good. Instead focus on that..... How do you plan on fixing it or do you just plan on discussing this kind of stuff? How much of these "dominoes" do you yourself intend on stopping within your own clan?

Was your clan part of the MB era? Respect 'THE' Elites Why do you think Mb was not as active as it was when pvp world were introduced? So many of our members left/quit scape after the wilderness was taken out and the clan world has not been able to fully come back from that significant change. The SIGNIFICANT difference in gear from back then to now is also a huge downer. Look at how we now have yaks, sigils, sol, claws, etc. It is just so different to what it used to be..... Does your clan still pk at Mb at times? Not that I am aware of.

Wont even bother anymore. It is honestly like you guys cant read and then attempt to troll. Talking about tanking quality and such when its clear from the score that wasnt the case...... If we are so bad how did we lose by such a small amount (when comparing opts). We were obviously doing something right. There has not once been denial by myself that we mass sniped. You guys cant read. I straight up told my members after your members wouldnt stop sniping to go do it to them. I have no clue why we accepted no sniping rules in the first place. We sniped and transitioned. We made you guys get dragged. We kept the score close due to opts. Dont break your "no sniping rules" next time and we wont do it. When a clan breaks rules a few times the rules are considered off to our standards. Next time control your members better or dont set up such stupid rules to where the likelihood of them being broken is high. Whatever gratz on your win. Should we fight again it will have a 4 sniper cap and not have it where people are able to break such rules (from either side). We have fought COUNTLESS clans and not had issues with them from Solace, Tko Blitz.... heck even POISON gives us a clean fight. Will get back to Warria06 when people come back from break/exams.

Shortly after I come over and tell you guys that if you do not stop sniping we will take the rules off (you are piling Nike at the time). You can see a white dot come over and then walk away (Me). It didnt stop and thats when WE started sniping which is BEFORE your proof. Why would your members be saying "stop sniping" in the cc before that moment. Our sniping started at about 2:00 in. We gave you warning that if you were going to break your own rules we werent going to adhere to them. Btw I looked at the last vid (of our last CWRI). Looking at reactions to both this one and last one well.... For T0 to talk so down to us about our sniping your members sure do flip out over sniping.... We know you cant handle it haha. Your binds slack your piling gets severely disorganized and you get dragged. Our snipers are usually our more consistent tanks (everyone can have an off day of course). Also as I explained to one of your members in our IRC (think it was Rachel?) our sniping is very organized and precise. We do SPECIFIC things to disorganize a clan from our experience in the top 10. We learned from there and it has been something of a strong suit for us for quite some time. We have been accused of "mass sniping" before when we only have 4 snipers because we are "just that good". It always seems to however be from clans that are just not that experienced with warring.... Oh well. Like I have stated previously. T0 is known to panic when there are snipers. Any clan I have witnessed to mass snipe has always been piled upon and the lead always furthered by the clan with quality and organization. You should have been able to pick us off with your opts and "quality" over us. The problem was we used organized chaos to pile you with our lower opts. We would snipe a couple people and then all switch to 1 pile. We ko'ed NUMEROUS members of yours doing that.... It is how we were able to end with such a close score. Btw my bad jack on accusing you of saying that stuff about our members.... it was your member Dazuz. Lets not try to take potshots now.

You guys are really distressed over this... this fight was clean for probably the first 5-10 mins. You guys then decide to have 2 snipers with you clear desire to have 0 in fight rules. I don't play that game. Never have never will. I even walked to your pile and told you if anymore snipers come over the no sniping rule is off. Shortly after it happened again. Anyone who has dealt with mass sniping will say that a clan who has at times double our opts should have pulled away quite easily but today was not the case. We sniped and transitioned. You broke your own rules. You clearly outnumbered us and our quality showed through. Our members honestly had a lot of fun tonight and after discussion with your officials it was clear that if a reach occurs there will be no rules set up that will be open for breaking like today. BTW jack don't ever tell me I can't control my members or mention my clans activity. Anything I would desire to say I believe can be said through the score at the end of the fight. Weird how people say THE will just have people come on here to have us save face when the majority posting I always see backing up t0. Aren't you all allies or something... hypocrisy at its finest at least I am honest about stuff. Can't say the same for the rest.

Multiple facets come into play. My biggest thing is activity of our memberlist. I would rather have a smaller memberlist with good % pulls than an inflated one which doesnt mirror our true activity. It is why our memberlist goes down; not because people leave/quit but more because we are so tough on activity. I also think our patience comes into play with this as well. We have seen personally what its like to rise quite quickly in rankings and it usually results in the complete opposite coming soon after. We try to learn from our mistakes of the past because we do have quite a large past. Having a small memberlist allows for us to focus on our organization and to mature as a warring clan and then when we get new members we are able to more smoothly transition them into what it is we do. We do not hate having a smaller memberlist but that doesnt mean we do not want to grow. I personally have a goal of wanting to get our clan to pulling 150 opts prepped and 120 opts on spurs. That I believe is the sweet spot of activity/ml/pulls. Allows for returning, sniping, and still keep ko power.

Dont crash pretty simple

Hmmm...... too many to pick one. First war ever in a clan was this one The Futures vs Dragonwood. Was a full out and my first experience ever. I was extremely nervous but never got the chance to tank. We ended with the majority of our opts. Fastforward ~~~~~~~ THE vs RHK CWA Turrets over a year ago. This was one of the first fights on our winning streak of 23 in a row to the top 10. We were severely outnumbered at first but we buckled down (thanks to some stellar calling by Icy) and ended up taking the win. We then realized we COULD actually go on to do great things. THE vs TR - BIG Rivalry Match here. We were expected to lose this one and even TR thought we were still a joke. Ended up getting 250 opts to this thing and demolishing TR. Was one of the best fights I was apart of. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Some pretty important losses I have been a part of. These were major learning experiences or turning points. THE vs Adelais - This was the turning point in THE leaving RAW and not wanting other clans to leap frog into the top 5 by beating THE which at the state was merely a shell of its former glory. THE vs TRWF - This fight showed us we were not nearly as organized as we thought we were. TRWF ended with less opts but we gave them the win because they simply outperformed us. THE vs Shadow Elves - We tried to step up and just were not ready. This opponent was the reason we ended up spiraling out of the top 10 again. We should have been more patient. I could name more but I think these are some of the ones that stick out MOST for me.

1. Do you prefer Mid Size or Top Clan? Why? Each one has its perks. Both I can find good and bad in. I have the luxury of being in a clan that has witnessed and experienced both. We are very much able to get back up there if we do it slowly and have a stabilized growth. 2. Say you were in a Mid Size clan, Who would you join? The 3. Say you were in a top clan who would you join? Ill push for my clan to be top again (it has in the past) 4. What are some noticable differences between the two groups? Right now? Top clans care more about opts than quality. They also rotate members a great deal. The sooner mid-sized clans get to the top the better. Problem is the drama of top clans is starting to spill over into the medium sized clans.

Rules: -All styles -Dung allowed -Rings allowed -No corrupt -3 Man sniper cap -60 Minute fight cap -Fas/Retireds allowed -Turrets We were not entirely sure how our pull would be since quite a few of our members have been busy with real life. Roughly starting (a bit off since we had some kills) THE ~26 Poison ~21 Ending Kills THE - 126 Posion - 96 Slight Recap - Well we started off getting quite a decent lead due to numerical advantage. Poison started closing the gap a bit into the fight due to our members getting cocky and Poison's members getting even opts and getting nice piles (and at one point surpassing our opts). When we saw them closing the gap we pushed the intensity. We then slowly started pulling away again. Honestly Poison did a great job. Can definitely tell you guys are improving. INTERESTING. Eos gets in another crash war Once again they start losing members. Now they pick on medium sized clans to attempt to "recruit" and get their ego's boosted. Learn from your mistakes please. Worry about the top 5 it will help you gain much more. OT: Gratz on your win Solace

-Have you ever experienced a planned war that got called of at the very last minute? Plenty of times..... GMT clans dont know their own timezones on occasion. DW has backed out when hearing our opts. We backed out on TR recently when we had a horrible pull (TWR fight). -If so or if not, what have you done or would you do in this case; Depends on what our members want to do. Sometimes we pk, boss, chill, or go off and do something else.
