We have dealt with it a great deal. Biggest incident in recent memory was la hire. Now we are strict and we back up what we say. No mulitclanning for 1 in any way. No crashing. No bs. I personally come down on it hard. I dislike manipulation for personal gain and call it out. Although I am known for my blunt nature it has come to be accepted as something that helps us in the long run. New members of our clan sometimes try to get us to change these rules so we grow faster and to be more lenient on some things but it just isn't worth it for the instant gratification. We have hopefully learned from our past mistakes so that we allow in more quality than lack of it

Didnt want to spam the topic with pics but spoiler shows them having 25 at one point and I think they peaked higher. Our numbers started off well and then went down as some of our members needed to go to work. We then slowly gained back up as some of our other members were coming back from uni/school/work. For a while #'s were very similar and our tanking was so bad that they got back to within 5. We then got settled in and never looked back from there. Drew just did a really really HORRIBLE job of explaining what happened.

I see very few clans that stumble from the top 10/15 and live to tell about it. This will truly be a test of the members now. Were the members along for the ride or will they put in the effort when it is actually needed? This is the question every clan that deals with this predicament has to answer. I think that if they continue to crash they wont last. They do not have the memberlist to back up their "beef" anymore.

If your clan does take in new clanners what do you do to ensure that they become a quality member? We put ourselves in a position to teach new players to the clanning world to make a smooth transition into it. At what point do you give up on trying to teach new clanners and just let them fail/quit/get kicked? Effort is the key. We have taught plenty of new clanners. What is harder is when they are computer inept and do not know how to work forums/irc/runescape in general..... thats where you realize that some people are just not meant for clanning in general. Do you focus on improving the quality of your current member base to allow some leeway on newer clanners? New clanners tend to actually stick around more than people who have been in multiple clans. Once you leave 1 clan its easier to leave the next and the next and the next. When someone has only experienced one then they are more likely to put that effort into your clan only. We work on improving every member any way they can and we try to make an environment in which members feel like they can ask questions.

I personally had 17 kills and 1 death. Tanked Col off every other time. Apparently the world was really laggy for some of our members and their tanking was awful or they d/c'ed a great deal. Also thanks for the mass sniping comments. Our snipe unit takes it as a compliment when we make it feel like mass sniping with only 4.

Extremely happy with our performance. As you can tell by the pics there were times you had 7 to even 10+ members on us (was expecting a better pull on our part for having a few days prep but for some reason didnt manage it). Kept it a 2:1 ratio against a clan that many rank as top 15 and on some lists top 10. Thanks for accepting such a short prep. Even managed to get quite a few ko's on your members with 24 people. This experience will hopefully help us get to a higher level of organization.

Leaders control their members/kick them. Most clan leaders turn a blind eye to stuff like this especially those up at the top. Its honestly better to be a mid sized clan right now than to be in the top. Who would want to be up there when you have to deal with all the bs that goes on.

These players are ones that do not wish their gameplay to be known to the outside world. Well 'THE' has its very own BASEMENT scaper in Jigs_wz34 and closet scaper in Germs22. Knowing that HA's memberlist far exceeded ours we were unsure of how we would fair against such an opponent. Preparing himself for the long-haul, Jigs stocked up on soda and gallons of water as he did not want to miss a beat. This basement scaper prepared us during the mass and even went as far as to explain to us exactly what he had to do to war for his fellow oranges. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Rq1kfFdxLU After that our fearless leader Germs got himself prepared. As he wished to be a sniper for this fight he wanted to make sure he got a lot of tanking action. Knowing that many in the clan community believe girls cant tank he not only did a sex-change in game but also irl to get himself prepared. After that there wasnt much more to do but get into the fight. Overall this war had to be moved to 3 different worlds in order to fight however it ended in w21. Both clans started on even opts and it was then that we knew we had to put a massive amount of pressure on HA so that their numbers would not rise throughout. We immediately sent out our 5 snipers as soon as the rush happened and never looked back. The fight lasted about 1.5 hours of the 2 hour cap. After many attempts of HA attempting to regroup and reorganize to get a main pile going again they decided to call it off early. THE starting: HA starting: ~99? (confirm please) THE ending: HA ending: Left battlefield and called off returning Overall I would like to thank all oranges that made it to this fight and stayed throughout. 'The' Forums | SeersIrc: #theclan | 'The' Runehead Memberlist A few days ago we approached Legends of Glory for a fight. We wanted to get in a little bit of all styles practice before our war on Saturday. It was decided to do CWA with these rules: # ALL STYLES [Melee/Range/Binds/Blasts] # Intros/Retired allowed # Rings ALLOWED # Corrupt NOT ALLOWED # Dungeon NOT ALLOWED # Lower Opts Attack # Turrets The fight started pretty even in terms of #'s but very early into the fight we realized we had an upper hand in style selection. Our transitions were strong as was our tanking. About 15 minutes in or so Legends of Glory started to leave slowly or not return as much (not entirely sure). This resulted in them not being able to keep a strong main pile. About 30 minutes into the cap they decided to leave the portal. Wish to thank Legends of Glory for accepting the fight. Overall it seemed to be clean. If there were any issues please pm an official. Gratz to ALL oranges that attended. Our pulls are going up. Very proud of everyone there today. Keep the topic clean. I like Gladz and TRWF. Gladz are our allies for a reason and TRWF is just a clan I have a deep respect for (ever since they beat us bad over a year ago.)

They didnt last simply because they couldnt get #Rebellion. They couldnt compete with the REAL Rebellion clan. Neub is just that godly.

What do you think about spying? I think the effort that you sometimes need to put in isnt worth it. Back in the old wildy there were more than 6 (whatever it is) worlds you had to hop on to find someone. There were those spies and then the others that attempted to get high ranks to cause turmoil from within. Does your clan spy on another clan? In my time we have only ever spied to find out the specific spies in our clan. The clan in question got extremely upset when we found out who they were >.< Would you say it's NH? It is what it is. It keeps it in game. Personally would never expect someone to put the effort into being a spy. Its honestly easier for us to have a friend tell us where someone is simply because we have so many ex-members in other clans.

Been here when some of my closest rs friends have left. Decided to stick with it and now have never looked back. That decision solidified it more me. 2. What factor is it that makes you stay in your current clan? The promise, the family, the people; I mean our motto is "For Trust, For Power, Forever" 3. In your honest opinion, would you say your a "Number 1" or a "Number 2", and why? I joined because of friends and have stayed because of the bigger picture.

I actually believe some of the best callers are outside of the top 5/10. Transitions tend to be set up more by the members as a whole knowing what they are doing more than a caller. Yeah it can take some getting used to having 200-300 opts following you around but once you get the hang of it then its cake. I have heard callers from the top clans and those from mid-sized clans. Quality lies in the mid-sized clans. Just because you are ranked high doesnt mean all your members/callers are quality. Most transitions in the top clans are set up by a majority of the members hopping to one pile and using their auto-typers/shortkeys to get everyone else on the same one with spam. Its not freaking rocket science.

Never met a clan that is void of knuckleheads. Ill be the first to admit we have some as well. Heck I am guilty of being a moron at times but I do my best to make sure it never adversely effects the clan as a whole. As long as you own up to it though you usually are able to resolve issues that may occur

how would this help us though? i dont see anything positive here or im reading this wrong I think a lot of the issues that come from the inflated economy in runescape effect clans a great deal. Pvp has been made to be far to easy to make money in now with potential. I believe with more money siphoned out less people will be able to buy ample amounts of runesets. People will less likely attempt to outlast due to lower amounts of money. This would not be an immediate effect but something that would occur far down the road. It would stifle merchanting a great deal which is also seen as one of the biggest money makers. By making it so the items that get merchanted go through the ge it should slowly stabilize the economy
