He won't always hit you. You can keep moving around underneath him for 10 minutes if you wanted and he wouldn't hit you. After a while if you stand in one spot under him while you eat, he will get you.

I've killed around 10k goblins for bandos kc without one. Maybe I didn't notice one or it was in a big pile of other drops. I've killed like 200 zombies before smoking kills burthorping tasks and I got a scroll. Maybe 2k lessers without one, 4k on my pure without one I got a goblin one on my pure getting bandos kill count, so like 40 kills O and I got a hogoblin one getting bandos kc, so like 100 kills total maybe
