No apology from Gen. Pace for gay stance.

I believe any NORMAL person would feel sick when a person of the same sex asks them out.

Pray tell, I would love to hear your definition of 'normal'. You don't mean straight now, do you?

Gay men have asked me out and most of the time, I've been flattered. Bit of a stereotype here, but gay men are pretty picky with looks (no offence intended), so I take them asking me out as a compliment.

Besides, they're better looking than some of the other women I've met. :uhh:

Isn't that good enough for you?

When ever homosexual discussions come up I get the feeling the homosexuals want to change someone else's morals. If someone thinks homosexuality is wrong what gives you the right to tell them to be more accepting? If they are so passionately in love with their views why not accept that? After all you are passionately in love with the idea of people accepting homosexuality.

Take a leaf out of your own book and accept other peoples views.

What an exceptional post.

And no lol why do you always want to get stuff from John Lewis. Its over ̣̉300 more then than what i paid.

John Lewis is a great, great shop.

My biggest problem with homosexuals is they have nothing to offer society. They depend on us for their population.

I've got an idea. Let's have a society just for gay people. How long will this society last? One generation... Doesn't sound very normal for a society to last only one generation. Maybe something is wrong with it.

I'm not saying that we should discriminate. I'm just pointing out the fact that homosexuals depend on straight people. Which is pretty ridiculous.

If you give something BACK to society that is just as valuable as the miracle of life then maybe I'll accept you in society.

Gay people are doctors, teachers, businessmen, politicians, sportsmen, actors, entertainers, charity workers, priests, as well as fathers and mothers. How dare you say that homosexual men and women have nothing to offer society!

A lot of good all that schooling to become a doctor, teacher, businessman, politician, sportsman, actor, entertainer, and charity worker is going to do when your society dies in a generation.

Neither are woman who cannot conceive, people who are born with disease that will kill them off at early ages, etc.

Disease, mutations, homosexuality even are good for a society. You need to control population size, this helps, without these, we would run out of food and space all be doomed.

We aren't talking can't(s). We are talking don't(s). Homosexuals choose not to give back to society.

With that argument one could argue murderers are good for society.

Edit: Btw we suppress Disease. If you are saying that we should treat homosexuals like a disease then by God you are more against homosexuality then I am.

Agreed. But that isn't a good enough reason to let them loose. Are you saying we should treat homosexuals like murderers?

What about men and women who CHOOSE not to have children of their own? And what of same-sex couples who have a child through a surrogate mother or father? Your argument has so many fallacies.

Saying Gay people can't contribute to society for not having children doesn't make sense. There are straight people who don't have children, do you not accept those people? Gay people can be doctors, nurses and have any job under the sun which protect snd contribute to society. If there where a gay doctor who saves lives of people would you declare he should not be part of society and accept someone who contributes nothing however they are straight?

Of course any rational person would not, and we would value the doctors contribution more than the person who contributes nothing to society. Based on your argument "People who contribute nothing shouldn't be allowed in society" we would discriminate against people from all walks of life, and who gives you the right to judge whats good and bad and unatural and who should not be in society in the first place?

The bottom line is: If an action doesn't harm you, it should not be banned. Anything else is just enforcing one persons opinion over another mans Thus suppressing the individual.

With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. In those days though the spring always came finally but it was frightening that it had nearly failed.

I do not feel I need to discuss this further. Once again Defender2516 has shown himself to be a disgusting homophobe and I have nothing more to add. I can only hope that one day he comes to his senses and sees each person for who they truly are inside their hearts rather than by labels of sexuality.

I agree entirely with the bolded. People should not be identified by labels of sexuality. I therefore propose that the "gay rights" movement be abolished, since it promotes the labeling of people by sexuality.

But you can say the same about Racism ie. Civil Rights and the Feminism Movement.

Irrelevant. We're not talking about those movements. Merc said not to identify people by sexual labels so that means abolishing the gay rights movement because it labels people in that way. I know I just repeated Astralinre's point, but apparently you missed it.

These include things like Affirmative Action, an equality in the workplace. We can't abolish these, but they also label.

Why can't they be abolished? I hear of many people who do not like affirmative action.

You mean reverse racism? Of course it can be abolished.

TBH I don't know why I said that, I think I meant it only about equality in the workplace. Yes, I do want to abolish AA to make that clear, my state, Michigan, is already trying.

pyroqe6.jpg

All pro-equality action comes to a point where it goes past equality and into superiority. Take for example womens only car insurance firms, sexist. Femminists have a bad name because many stereotype them as thinking their better than males. The thing needed is to look past stereotypes of extremes and see that equality between humans is essential. And then the question arises can everyone even become equal in a capaitalist society, where others are viewed as a means to an end.

There will always be divides, it is human nature the only thing we can do is put out the fires when they start blazing, the best way of doing such a thing is by allowing actions based on whether they are harmful or not.

First off, homosexuals are by no means a majority of the population...which leads me to:

There are already enough children in this world. Gay adoption my friend! There are so many kids in need of a good home...

Also, homosexuals tend to improve the COMMUNITY around them. They often don't have kids (because of stigmas or the illegality of having them in certain places) and so they can focus more on the community. Just look at San Francisco or Columbus, Ohio (which is the only major city in Ohio where population grew...and it is a beautiful city, I've been there several times). Both have very large gay populations.

The great thing about homosexuals is that while they don't reproduce, they help everyone else reproduce! They are sort of like the helpers, if you'd like to think of it that way.

By making them a completely exclusive population you unfairly compared them to straight couples.

To back up your post, I've firsthand seen a neighborhood once infested with gangs and poverty go from that into a place that's beautiful that you'd feel safe walking around at night, and it all started with a few gay men purchasing a few abandon houses in the neighborhood.

So you're saying you can only possibly contribute to society if you reproduce? As people have said before, gays can be doctors, nurses, aged care workers, scientists or anything that, by nature of the occupation, contributes to society. We don't need more human beings on this planet and reproducing is far from an automatic tick in the contribution box. It can actually be detrimental to a community if a mother has 10 kids and relies on welfare. As Bill hicks once said (I'm beginning to find you can apply Hicks' comedy to anything) "We're a virus with f****** shoes, man."

Of course people like Defender and XplsvBam just ignore all our posts which tear apart their arguments and pretend they haven't read them.

Gay people do not add nothing to society, just because they cannot reproduce with each other. As a few other people so truthfully stated, they contribute in every other role except reproduction. They save lives, provide people with an education, etc. What if, in the future, a gay man discovers a cure for AIDS. Does he still contribute nothing to society?

I do not plan on having children when I'm older. Does that mean I should be banished from society? Or even put to death? Trust me, if everyone in society were capable to have children and did have children, we would overpopulate the earth, would run out of resources, and so on..
