This is worse because the army doesn't want to deal with that, it's more important than some gay man attracted to a straight guy which he keeps to himself. Me doing staff.

March 15, 200719 yr As you can see, religion that should be all about loving humanity, tolerance and acceptance is actually quite the opposite. It's suppressive to everyone that does not beleive what they beleive and incites violence against certain people for not being the same as they are. Gay people are people, and they deserve respect. Comments like they should be thrown out of society are absolutley ridiculous and discriminatory. Carlin is just an example of why organized religion to that extent should be avoided, if you wish to think for yourself. With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. In those days though the spring always came finally but it was frightening that it had nearly failed.

March 15, 200719 yr Religion as a whole is suppressive on any level, it's all about absolutes and divine opinions. I know not eveyone is like carlin or defender, Reb, but I can't help but be annoyed that any human being is like them. Whatever way you look at it, it would be hard to deny that we were created to be questioning and logical beings. Going against that is like saying god made a mistake.

Yeah well a women could keep to herself too! Kind of a poor argument since you are making to huge assumption. One, they may not keep to themselves, and it can still be uncomfortable for others. Two, you make it sound like women have sex in the shower with men on a regular basis and transmit STDs etc. Let's end the religion discussion. Been there Done that. March 16, 200719 yr My only hope is that if men (gay and straight) had to shower together, they would both be mature enough to not sexually assault each other, or feel uncomfortable to the point where they would ask the gays to leave. Same thing should apply to men who are forced to shower with women. Yes, straight men are sexually attracted to straight women. But I hope that they are mature enough that they would not 'go at each other' so to speak. If this were the case (that they didn't try anything with each other), then I don't think there should be a need to feel uncomfortable to the point where you can't tolerate the situation. - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog

March 16, 200719 yr Homosexuals aren't a self-sustaining part of society. Because of this I don't think they should be recognized by the government. Am I wrong? Should members of a non-sustaining group be recognized by the government? I'm not talking individuals, I'm talking couples. Me having sexual relations with a rock is just as sustaining as homosexuality. Should the government recognize me and my rock as a couple? What you do in your lives is not my business. Sometimes personal business just doesn't have a place in society.

Seriously guys, we have to rid this planet of them, a purple monkey whom I model my beliefs on popped out of thin air onto my shoulder and whispered into my ear. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Ok, now that I've gotten those frustrated thoughts out of my system, let me say why no, you are not right. Your logic, XplsvBam, is to not recognise gays as part of society because they don't fit in with the way you think. You think benefit in society comes purely from humans reproducing. And let me guess, are you against contraception as well? As I and others have said above, the qualification for being a contributor to society is not to produce offspring, that will never stop, trust me, rather it is to have a job or doing volunteer work that helps people in any way shape or form. That's using your skills to help others. If you, for example, were to produce 10 miracles of god and, heaven forbid, one of the precious souls would run off the rails and kill me or another member of society, does that mean you have contributed to society? Not quite. Gays can and do contribute to society in many ways. You can't really escape this any furthur unless you want me to provide actual references to a gay person who has contributed to society but I think many people here would accept that there are many of them and that they are not all government leeches who have no jobs.
March 16, 200719 yr Of course people like Defender and XplsvBam just ignore all our posts which tear apart their arguments and pretend they haven't read them. As did you with Astralinre's.I skipped past it because I did not feel it needed comment, I shall answer it now. I agree entirely with the bolded. People should not be identified by labels of sexuality. I therefore propose that the "gay rights" movement be abolished, since it promotes the labeling of people by sexuality. The bolded quote was as follows: I can only hope that one day he comes to his senses and sees each person for who they truly are inside their hearts rather than by labels of sexuality. I thought my point was clear but obviously not. A friend spoke to me a while ago about a discussion he had with a lady friend of his about feminism. He said that feminism does not truly exist because they want equality just as much as a masculinist. And if a feminist wants the same as a masculinist then both terms are void and do not exist. It is just a person who wants gender equality. However gender equality groups still have a place as there are still many countries who genuinely believe women to be inferior to men as we have discovered in a recent thread about Islamic law in middle eastern countries. When we come to things such as race again labels tend to be put onto different races, some good and some bad. Race equality groups consist of people white, black, Chinese, middle eastern. These people campaign for acceptance of those which have ill conceived judgements on them. Black rights groups have a good place in society whereas White supremacist groups do not. These are the scourge of society. We come onto sex equality... There are many groups which campaign for change. This is vastly different to a group which actively campaigns to attack those kinds of groups and remove human rights from a person such as those of the anti-gay rights movement. These people have opinions based on a bad intepretation of an ancient text which has its morals picked and chosen from the good bits within even the same chapters. It was perfeclty acceptable by God for Lot to give his two daughters to the people of Sodom even though he knew they wanted to abuse them. You cannot compare the label of a campaign group with abusive attacks against an individuals gender, race and sexuality. I hope people are happy that I have responded, perhaps now XplsvBam can answer the question about straight people who choose not to have children? Are these people not giving anyhitng to society either? Mercifull <3 Suzi "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. March 16, 200719 yr By all means Gays should have the right to defend their country and do what straights do, but don't go trying to push your views of "Gay acceptance" onto me, even if I'm trying to be tolerant. I don't have to accept it (my personal choice) but I don't think because of their actions they shouldn't be allowed to do what "straight" people are allowed to do. Its their democratic right, just as it is to be gay in the first place.
March 16, 200719 yr That makes as much sense as.. Heterosexuals are overpopulating this planet, so we should kill masses of them away.
March 16, 200719 yr I'd be interested to see what some of these people think about lesbeans. I don't think they have specifically been mentioned yet. (not incorrect spelling) you can say gay but not ^^, double standard anybody :-w
March 16, 200719 yr When I have said "gay" in my posts I have meant both homosexual male and females. The term lesbian is only used to refer to females whereas gay refers to both. It is not double standards. Note to Mods: Censor was evaded. Term is not used in a derogatory fashion. Mercifull <3 Suzi "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape.
