How to Get iPod Speakers to Stay In While Exercising

Featured Replies

Okay, so, I have taken it to myself to work out, and run*, and I like to listen to my iPod, and whoever has an iPod**, will know how bad those little earbuds are. Everytime you step, they wiggle and fall out***, and I don't like to really be interruted with having to put them back in, because I lose my breathing count and have to start over, and it is just annoying. I've looked at some articles with ways to keep them in, but all they talk about are those US$125 in-ear models, which I don't exactly want because they will probably get sweaty and burn out like the included ones. Does anyone know of a way to get them to stay in, or an alternative type of headphone that is not very expensive?

I'd sugest just getting a pair of like $15 headphones that clip onto your ears for running.

Go to Walmart. Buy a pair of $20 Sony earphones. Done.

I don't understand how you made this so complicated.

I don't really want the earphones. I am happy with my buds, but am also curious as to how some people do get them to stay in their ears, do some people just have special ears or something?

There isn't any 'trick' if thats what your asking, some peoples ears just don't like to keep the buds in.

I have a Zune, but still see the problem.

I personally just got an old pair of decent Sony headphones that wrap around the back of the head (I used to listen to the radio while jogging). They stay tightly in place, and the sound quality is still excellent.

I know it may seem silly, but what about tape? Simple and cheap :)

But seriously, just get some of those earphones that wrap around your ears.

speakers as in earphones? or headphones? The new ipod earphones should fit inside better than before since it's skinnier.

Dunk your head in there. A bit of fusion action will stick that earphone in good n' proper. It will turn you completely into alpha particles, though.

Roffle. K, deal. Immerse yourself in a star and then tape yourself and your newly fused earphone/ear combo back together.

Sorry to the topic starter for the total spam by the way.

Buy some proper ones, the iPod earbuds are cheap and nasty anyway, the sound qualities poor. Your ears will appreciate you running along to the even louder bass beats of Dizzy Tissue, or whatever you crazy kids listen to these days.
