Filling Deserted Areas with people

Featured Replies

People just have to explore more and realize that there's more to do than chop wood and make fires. Not that I'm saying everybody does that but people just have to go out and do something instead of crowding the cities.

Too many young, free players want instant gratification and thus they beg in the hopes they'll get "phr33 s7uff", get bored of the game and quit. Too many immature players with high skill lvls calling other players "noob" because that "noob" can't mine or chop wood as fast as them: you were once that "noob" too.

There's a proverb: "Give a man a fish and they eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and they will eat for a lifetime." Instead of relying on other players efforts for your own gain, take some time to train your skills to a decent lvl and go get these "rares" on your own!

(By now, I know I'm totally off topic but just hear me out.)

I can't say all players are immature and selfish since there are plenty of mature and respectable players too. To be constructive, the more experienced/mature players should be freely giving out advice so that the "noob" will learn how to train their skills better so that they'll stop being "noobs". Plus, there's more gratification when you do something on your own instead of crowding cities, following players that are wearing "rares" and begging them for hand-outs.

EDIT: More off-topic rant. Maybe Jagex can make Beggars a Slayer assignment.

Well I head over to kelgadrim once in a while. There are the arzanian mines with 150+ gold ores, the construction dude to buy gold leaf, marble etc., and there is the awesome blast furnace for coal efficient smithing. I like having places like that a bit quieter - it makes a change from ther hustle and bustle of the major cities.

Increasing the cap on each server would only crowd w2 even more. Can you imagine ~4k people all standing in fally park? The lag would be incredible...

and for the person who said that there was noone around Uzer - well if there was something to do there apart from the quest, then I am sure that there would be more people around in those places...

More people in one server will only result in a crowded area ending up more crowded.

If you combine 2 servers in which Keldagrim is empty, it's still empty after you stuff all players in one server.

All they need to do is make the areas more appealing to players and the people would go there.. Its as simple as that just how to make them more appealing well we'll leave that up to Jagex. I personally don't go to quite a few places on the map.. Never been to kelgadrim, rarely go near the lighthouse unless i have a clue, and i pass through Rellekka only to go to waterbirth to collect grass. Alot of the areas that are empty are out of the way to go to and in my opinion don't offer much or enough to make ya want to frequent them.. Doubling server compacity wouldn't do anything but cause more empty servers and more lag on the busier ones

If Jagex changed the capacity in servers to 4,000, just imagine the chaos. Pker's galore! I'm sure jagex would never hear the end of it either. :-#

Ya this really needs to happen some how. My vote is on teles to places like keldergrim, nardah in the normal magic book so lower levels can get around to places like that.

Quit RuneScape :)

I have to admit though.. with TWO THOUSAND people in one world, it doesn't seem very crowded at all and there is tons of deserted places..
Even if there was OVER NINE THOUSAND people in one world, I doubt that that town would see much action. Keldagrim is just a boring town.
