We all know that training different skills results in a different variety and popularity of randoms (example: getting a lot of evil chickens, strange plants and drunken dwarves whilst training combat).

 

 

 

I would like to know, from your experience, which skill results in the most Genie Lamp randoms. My friend said he gets a fair few when spinning flax, and I would like to hear what you can tell me from your experience.

and if so, I seem to get the most genies while fishing/cooking or training combat.

 

I never seem to get them anywhere else.

I got 2 in a few mintutes at chins, I think thats the best

yeah chins i got about 5 or 6 in 1 hour grey chinompas

Hunter seems to be the best. They took away all of the teleport randoms because people were losing their traps, so there is a limited number of randoms that can occur during Hunter.

I get a lot of Genies when i'm wcing, but i'm only f2p so i don't know about p2p skills.

ive raised my construction from lvl 1-38 and my farming from 1-24 with genie lamps alone so i would say hunter.

Well, for us F2Pers it seems to be Combat. I range 1-2 per hour while training Melee. Haven't gotten so lucky with Range, though.

I get mine mostly from fishing and mining. Sometimes training combat too.

Notice you aren't getting consistant answers? There is no skill that you are more likely to get genies from. There could be a way to up your chance of a genie, but you would have to understand the mechanics of random triggering. I understand some of it, but I don't know anything which would trigger genies specifically.

 

 

 

Acting like a macroer, and failing randoms are ways you can trigger more randoms in general, not specifically genies.

Yes, but as someone mentioned above, Hunter would be a great skill to get randoms, because the types you can get are very limited, because people complained about getting teleported away by randoms...so that would increase your chances of getting the Genie random over others.

^^ I missed that point. That would be one of the mechanics of randoms I was talking about. If Jagex has indeed removed teleporting randoms when you are using hunter, then yes, you would have a higher chance of getting a genie. Perhaps whoever said it can supply proof that jagex did this.

its usually completely random to when you get it.

i train in lava maze lesser demons.. ranging..

 

 

 

every steel pl8 respawn and i alch them 20% the times , genie appears

 

i put them in ranged xp

just to get from level 1-2 would take 9 lamps because u would only get 10 exp from each one

Honestly all randoms are totally random.

 

 

 

But i would have to say hunter :XD:

for me I'd say hunter, once i had 6 lamps in one hour :shock: , quite nice xp tough \
