Well, do you think she likes you? If she did would you like her back?

Maybe she has keepen it in the family. As in, she wants to marry you :)

Anyway, just tell her nicley that you cant accept a family heriloom. Tell her it was really nice but it belongs within the family. Perhaps if she still wants you to keep it to bring it up with her parents and ask their permission first.

With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. In those days though the spring always came finally but it was frightening that it had nearly failed.

Now this is what you have to do.

Sell the heirloom on Ebay.

Then tell her that you sold it and that you used the money to buy meaningless commodity, you also have to remember to video her response with hidden cameras. If it is funny upload the video to youtube.

Then a couple of days latter tell her about the video on youtube and show it to her. You also have to video her response to the video on youtube. Obviously you would have to upload the new video.

Are...are you lonelygirl15?

Well, I doubt she likes me. Because she likes my brother.

But, Satenza, I think I'll do it your way. 8-)

I wish my family had an heirloom. Like a claymore. :P

Nice of her to give it to you. ^_^

Does her family know? She really should save it for her children and keep passing it on down the lines...not saying your not special or anything but its a FAMILY heirloom for a reason.
How did it become a FAMILY heirloom in the first place?

It is still a FAMILY heirloom, just pass it down to your future kids and it will actually have fresh meaning, possibly making it more valuable to your family rather then if your friend had given it to her child.

Don't sell it on Ebay. Set up a site where you auction it off for like a year so you get hundreds of thousands for it. Buy a big shiny ferrari and drive it past her house every night. Then video her response to that.

And then, maybe not.

If she likes you, would you like her back? You don't seem to have answered that.

How am I suppose to answer that, its not my heirloom..LOL!

A FAMILY heirloom is something that stays in a FAMILY not to be given to friends. Lets say great great great great ( you get the picture) worked really hard to save up for a diamond ring to give to his fiance...he then gives it to her, they marry. Daughter #1 ( or son if there is no daughter) is getting married, they pass on the FAMILY heirloom to the child. It then goes from their marriage to their children and on down the line it goes. If it was a true family heirloom( which I dont think it was or it wouldnt of been given to the said person who gave it to their friend) and one of my children had it ( which they wouldnt until they were at least 18 anyhow) and they gave it to one of their friends, oh there would be hell to pay because it was a FAMILY heirloom.

I have a ring coming to me from my mother in law but I wont get it until she has passed away, I probably will be in my 50's or 60's by then but I sure as heck wouldnt give it to a friend or want anyone else to give it to a friend...thats the whole point of an FAMILY HEIRLOOM.

Wow that was long but my point is I dont really think its a family heirloom or they wouldnt of given it to a friend( then it wouldnt be a family heirloom) I think it was just a made up story. :-w :-#

Maybe you "younger" people dont understand the true "meaning" of a heirloom or something, not sure..lol

For the other posters, yes they stated the person liked thier brother......

she gives you the heirloom becuase she passes on to family so she passes onto youcos she wants you to be in here family in other words she wants to go out with you and further

If a close freind gave something that special to me, i'd assume 2 things:

1. She's/he's sickly and still wants the heirloom to be passed on. :ohnoes:

2. I'm being hit on / extremey respected.
