The Halo 3 Multiplayer Beta will go live on May 16th at 12:00 AM PDT and run through June 6 th at 11:59 PM PDT. That means that folks who purchased specially marked copies of Crackdown, or won a spot in the Beta through the ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬ÅRule of ThreeÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâÃ

I just really want to try out that shield bubble thing out. Looks really bad [wagon].

Saw this on digg this morning at work. We'll see how it turns out. (I hope they have a better hp system, didn't like the one in 2).

I really didn't like 2, but I'll be trying out 3. If, for anything, lots of friends I know will be getting it, so that'll be fun.

Looks sick as hell. Can't wait for it.

Agreed. I actualy just stumbled over digg a couple weeks ago and now its always up on my browser at work. :oops:

My friend bought Crackdown and got in the beta, so i'll be trying it out :D

Oh man the download will be slow- it's going to lag like... Something.

i got my ledgendary already bought took me months to save the money but the helmet will be spiffy. \

 

The game looks really fun and a completly diff feeling but it seems fun.

This won't be released on xbox will it? I really hope so. Not worth buying a 360 just for halo.

I rented crackdown a while back but didn't think it was worth a purchase. As such I'm not actualy going to be playing in the beta (because I'm not paying $50 for a beta of a seires that for their first 2 games I have disliked).

 

 

 

 

 

I kind of have.. wishful thinking for this one though. At the very least when its out I'll pick it up, just if not for the pure fact to have the game. :x

To be honest, if u didnt like the first two, i doubt the 3rd game would be any more appealing. But it wudnt hurt to try it out of course.

 

As for the x-button deployment of the shield, im worrying.

 

If anyone played Gears, and used the chainsaw in multiplayer, u wud know that u wud quickly be killed directly after the chainsaw. Altho u r invincible during the chainsaw animation, the enemy 'camps' near u and just proceeds to chainsaw u back after ur done chainsawing.

 

Same reasoning here. If ur a sitting still, it doesnt matter if ur invincible for a few secs.A sniper wud just pick u off after the shield goes out. Or be rocket-launchered, energy-sworded, etc.

 

I dunno if im just thinking too hard on it, but i never was a fan of a 'portable' shield that forces u to stand still.

Well I think halo 3 would be a great idea to buy 360. Of course I'm an avid halo fan :D . Its def not the only reason to buy a 360, but for me its a main one

The X button is not just a shield, its got the trip mine (if you have one) for blowing up warthogs, tanks, etc too. I see what your saying but I could be quite useful in very tight spots.
