I have just discovered that the catablepons in Stronghold of Security lvl 3,or more accurate the lvl 64 ones...

 

 

 

They have 70hp wich is great as you can multitask, like reading forums and such, while ranging. At lvl 65 ranging you get about 30k xp an hour, wich I think is quite good for f2p.

 

 

 

Even though I startet to train here at lvl 65, I would say that this is a good ranging spot from about lvl 60.

 

 

 

They seem to have very low range defense and if you pick up your arrows the drops will almost cover the expenses of your arrows. (Mostly the laws, but they drop some money and mith arrows too.)

 

 

 

 

 

While ranging from lvl 65 to 67, about 110k xp, I have gotten about 50 laws, 200 miths and a freaking lot of MOMs...

 

 

 

Safespot:

 

Stay inside the the red figure and they wont be able to attack you

 

 

 

 

The bestiary says that those drop cosmics, nats and addy helmets in f2p, but I dont believe it as Ive been down here for about 110k xp now...

 

Anyone got any?

 

 

 

BTW: Got 1000 total all in f2p yesterday. yay me!

Barely half way there with 545!

Very interesting find...Although the sole reason I've never trained any form of combat on those guys is because of their insane deffence....I might retry ranging them with your method though.....

It's his topic and he asked MY range level. It's 70 btw. With iron i hit quite good. I don't pick up but you can.

I have now tried XanotexÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâôs ranging place and it is sure great, BUT that is only if you dont pick up your arrows...the safepot becomes to hard and ankous to dangerous when you are getting your arrows...

 

 

 

Therefore I recommend XanotexÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâôs spot for powerrangers, but for non-powerrangers I would not advice doing so...

Catablepons can also hit a bit high if you're not careful, bring a lob or two if your def isn't too high.

I have lvl 67 defense, and do not need any food as the hitpoints recover fatsre then im hit...

 

If you only have a little lower defense, you may be able to heal of the accasional trouts they drop, but it is quite easy to pick up your arrows while getting hit only once, mostly 0s for me.

 

 

 

BTW: Ive got lvl 68 now and 626k xp. started at about 450k xp...

Thats a cool trick, I like the safe spot alot...

i knew about this, and had tried it b4, and it doesnt cover the expense, i have 60 range and i lose like, just ya, they dont drop very well

100% right. I didn't pick up my arrows, i hate ranging so i went from 65-70 without picking up = fast.

 

 

 

Also, the Flesh Crawlers are also a good place without picking up, bring some food and you can stay there for hours, no drops, very fast xp.
