Beaumonde
I recently saw the sticky topic about suggesting new styles for the forum and couldn't help my self with trying to help out Tip.It. I found five templates which I felt where worthy of being here on Tip.It. Below I will list them and give and explanation why I think they should be included. 1. subPortal Template (For demo.) I think this template should be included on Tip.It is because it displays allot of information about the forum on a smaller page than most templates require, it also has more features such as Google search, a quick search box and quick links on every page. 2. FI subSilver Template (For demo.) I think this template should be included in Tip.It because it is generally more pleasing to look at then the regular subSilver template included in the forum package and because it shows the link for the forum in a new way which is less confusing than what is currently used. 3. FI subIce Template (For demo.) I think this template should be included in Tip.It because it is generally more pleasing to look at then the regular subIce template and because it shows the link for the forum in a new way which is less confusing than what is currently used. 4. Macinscott 2 Template (For demo.) I think this template should be included on Tip.It because however the number of Microsoft and Linux users is still in the majority there are still Apple users on Tip.It and this template will make them feel more at home. 5. FI Apple Template (For demo.) I think this template should be included on Tip.It because however the number of Microsoft and Linux users is still in the majority there are still Apple users on Tip.It and this template will make them feel more at home. I hope you will take this chance to look at these templates and consider them for placement on Tip.It, thanks. Kaphias
I like all except the Sub-ice one. It's ok, but not as great as the others. I also love the Apple templates, I'd definitely switch to those. 8,325th to 99 Firemaking 3/9/08 | 44,811th to 99 Cooking 7/16/084,968th to 99 Farming 10/9/09 | Runescaper August 2005-March 2010Tip.it Mod Feb. 2008-Sep. 2008 | Tip.it Crew Sep. 2008-Nov. 2009

Mercifull
The two FI themes are ok, the others are bulky and bloated. Beaumonde
The two FI themes are ok, the others are bulky and bloated. Well the subPortal is a little bulky but it has allot of information on one page, but I don't think the Mac templates are bulky. Errdoth
They're all very yummy, I would enjoy seeing at least a couple of them added on, if not them all. Last.fm Signature Overlays

Popular choices from user contributions will be polled among the entire community and if enough support is given , the style may be added to the available list. There you go. Nope, nothing has been done, seams like whoever is suppose to look at style suggestion topics needs to get off there lazy butt. Nope, nothing has been done, seams like whoever is suppose to look at style suggestion topics needs to get off there lazy butt. Oh really? then I got a few words to say then: Subportal is already put on isn't it? SubSilver is ugly>.> SunIce is nice and should be put on, and with a variety of colours. the last two...don't live up to tif standards. :boohoo: <- - - Pokem that smily is for you, lol. If those are put on, after a poll may be done, different colour choice of each one should be an option as well. A poll as said before should be done too. And if the ones I said negatively about are passed, it better be by the community, because those truely are not the standard, nor the feel of tif. The_Sith
I like the idea of adding more templates but a lot has to be customized per template - it isn't just drag and drop. I'd rather Albosky be spending time on board updates, modifications, etc. than new themes. I think we all would want to see some more added but right now, Albosky's plate is pretty full. Olympus is coming out (soon? probably not) but it includes a totally different theme-styling system - so the old themes don't work. If/when we do upgrade to that, we'll be sure to have a wide variety of themes installed.

But albosky said himself, 'if a transfer data to data portal is on it, then tip it won't bother switching.' The example version said: Well, nothing tbh, that I could see relating to this.-.- But, I do think if a transfer portal is on it, then changing templates wouldn't be that big of a deal. but it is best to wait. So I'm against this until we get that phpbb3. Although it could take awhile to be released.^^

In the initial stages of a program, there are a lot of version changes (which can damage data you already have in it). It's best to wait for a while after something is released. < | Runehead | Learning Java Programming, Please PM Me Tips | Signature by Loaf2000 | >

Yes, the reason I said it wasn't released, because beat versions are running around. I just hope they put the actual version out soon. So many things to do. ^^
Albosky
phpBB3 is currently on a Release Candidate , so its pretty close to having an official stable release. As said above, I just can't risk any data loss on a structure that may or may not change. But as for the original topic... This forum is so heavily modified that I don't even know if I would be able to make all the necessary changes to accommodate any new styles right now. Between advertising complaints and changes, breaking in a new Crew Leader, staff vacations due to summer, etc etc , I'm sorry but styles just aren't an option right now :( I like to fart silently but deadly in movie theatersArd Choille says (11:41 PM):I wouldn't dare tell you what to do m'dear

Well Albosky, why not find someone who works on the side re-fitting phpbb3 with what ever you've done with your magical fingertips? Perhaps a side project? I know your thinking this already, but just making it public. Albosky, are you the only staff who knows phpbb as much as you know? Perhaps finding someone to help with the phpbb then?
