April 15, 200719 yr Is it just me, or is it hard to trade cooked for raw food these days. Ever since I got level 99 cooking in April 2003, a lot of people have asked me the best way to get 99 cooking. I tell them what I did: fish or buy a large batch of raw lobsters, cook them, and trade them for raw. Back then, it was really easy. I cooked a load, and trade them for raw. I would look on the tip.it forums and could readily find a player trading their raw for cooked. Often, I found so many traders that it was so hard to keep up with them! However, some people have told me they have had a hard time finding such traders. I looked at the official forums, and most people were trading their cooked for raw; only a few were doing the opposite. Has it become harder to trade cooked for raw foods? Forgive my ignorance; I haven't trained cooking for like four years! ARENAscape: Baratus [AS] max hit: 166 with Moon Battle Hammer ixfd64 [AS] max hit: 116 with (untitled spell #2)
April 15, 200719 yr Yes, it has become much harder. When I was training cooking myself for about 2 months ago, I tried this sort of trading. But it was very hard to find anyone who wanted to trade raw food for cooked food. I don't know why it's like this today, maybe just more people aren't intrested in doing these of trades because of they instead want cash for their food, and not more food? I don't know. But I know that it has become harder to find traders who want to trade raw food for cooked food. I have heard alot of people who have said that they used to do trades with cooked food for raw food and that's why they leveled so fast in cooking. But today it's almost impossible. Myself I bought alot of raw food for cash later on, because none wanted to trade my cooked lobsters, tunas or whatever it was for raw foods. I lost alot of money, but I got the cooking level I wanted. Add me if you so wish: SwreeTak

April 15, 200719 yr Couldn't agree more im just glad i got 99 cooking before it came very hard to do this. Blog to all 99's! Look here to find out how im doing it
April 15, 200719 yr Well cooked food has gotten less useful throughout the past years with the introduction of guthan armour, pest control, etc. The demand for cooked food therefore dropped, hence the price of cooked food dropped. The price of raw food remained roughly the same, because people still need raw food to train their cooking skills. As cooked food used to have roughly the same price as raw food back in the days, it was perfectly possible to trade them 1:1 back then. But with nowadays lack of need for cooked food, it has a much lower price then raw food and thus people aren't really interested in trading raw for cooked (as it essentially costs them money to do so). The value of my bank at its height. Estimated value at the peak of the rares market: 250 billion+.Most likely the largest trade in RuneScape ever. Estimated value at the peak of the rares market: 70 billion+.
April 15, 200719 yr same with sharks, theyve been rapidly decreasing. they go for as low as 600 ea. wowsers!
April 15, 200719 yr Back in the old days (especially RSC) people traded Cooked food for raw food. Mostly lobsters. This was because there were fewer fishers, and a lot less cooks! And a great amount of pures. They bought certs, uncert them and walk from draynor (where they were sold) to edgeville to go PK. Back in the old days: Annoying but great! cert system. More fishers Less cooks A huge amount of melee Pkers that use lobsters Nowadays Simple notes, infinite trade amounts Not that many fishers A HUGE! amount of cooks A large amount of melee Pkers and also other types that use sharks (P2P) and lobsters. Sharks were not THE most used food for P2P I thought.

April 15, 200719 yr Sell the cooked sharks at edgeville, on busy worlds; 18, 6, 9, etc. Works well if the price is reasonable. Sold 2k c sharks in like 5 mins once. 2480+ total
