truffoo
Guide to Target Skill Levels Introduction I was thinking ... "What level should I really get skill x to so that it'll be useful and yet not waste time?". So based on the information in the Tip.it skill guides, Archive of Wisdom, Player Made Guides, and other forum posts, I have compiled a list of levels that present a useful outcome to the skiller. I've tried to list the levels in the context of Work hard to reach the level then just relax and let further levels come whenever they come. Your Input I know that many of the items below may well be disputable (plus I'm F2P so am partly guessing in some of the P2P areas), so if you think that something should change, you'll need to give me a reasonable excuse as to why. I will not turn down valid arguements. Acknowledgements Tip.it Staff for the Skill Guides Many forum posters for various bits of information This is long text, so I haven't included any pictures. This is intentional. The Guide Agility Courses: 48 (Ape Atoll) Shortcuts: 85 (Cliffside Scramble ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ Advanced to Elven Lands) Grapple Shortcuts: 53 (Karamja Crossing) 99 is directly beneficial in that it gives quicker recovery of energy Attack 99 (Hit more often) Construction Room: 50 (Portal Chamber) Item: 75 (Gilded Altar) Cooking Fish: 91 (P2P ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ Manta), 45 (F2P ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ Swordfish) Fish no burn: 94 (P2P ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ Sharks with Gauntlets), 86 (F2P ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ Swordfish) Pies: 95 (P2P ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ Summer) Crafting Jewellery: 90 (P2P ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ Onyx Amulet), 70 (F2P ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ Diamond amulet) Dragon Leather: 84 (P2P) Defense 99 (Prevent being hit more often) Farming 85 (Torstol) Is Torstol a useful outcome from Farming? Owned_Nex
Sry, but 0/10. First off, its not a guide. You can simply look at ur skills, and take 3 seconds. Anoter one of those "get these stats" kinda guids Dungeoneering isn't a skill. I'm faster than bots at Sorceress Garden. PM me if you want to chat. My PM is always off. My keyboard is on fire. aznmidget448
Bah, I disagree with the first two people. This is a pretty cool guide! For farming, I'd put the level for spirit trees because that's a target level. For ranged put the level 70 for black d hide and the god d hide. Attack, strength, and defense level 70 for wielding barrows (60 in attack for wielding dragon?) Those were just a few that came to mind. Good luck with the guide and hopefully no more haters :P (oh, and I rate 8/10. Could use a little more thought, but I like the idea : )

Hadn't thought about including requirements for wearing/weilding bits, so will have a look at that sometime soon. um what's the point of this "guide"? 0/10 gonna get locked. obvious information The point is that the information is all together in one place. If you want to plan out your skilling, then it is easier to set targets when all together. But maybe you're right and it will get locked. If it does, then it does. dkjestrup
a good level for thiefing is 91 for all the rooms in pyramid plunder Thanks Terly for the best Avatar in TipIt -winks-
Elessar3019
This is good. A change should be made to hunter though: it is eternally beneficial to get 80, where you can set up 5 traps at a time. At 63, you catch red chinchompas about 1/2 the time, and the other half they spring your traps. It's not until 70-75 that you see a significant increase in this either. perfect grammar is one thing, typing like a drugged monkey and enjoying it is anotherAMEN! Doomster
Firemaking, I'd put as P2P: levels for various forms of illumination, F2P: no advantage at all in higher firemaking. F2P fishing and cooking: Lobster is a more usual target level, as you fish lobster, you get ONLY lobster. Some quest requirement levels would also be needed, to make this a stronger guide, concentrating on "you need level x in order to..." - MUST haves, rather than nice to haves. soulegleon
how long did you work on this? it may be well presented but even if you had all of the target skill levels it still wouldnt be considered a guide as the information can be found in a matter of minutes This is long text, so I haven't included any pictures. This is intentional. obviously you havent seen a long guide. my f2p pures one maxed out the text on the first post (10,000 words :XD:. its in my sig but dont bump, im revising it to almost 20,000 words) , add pics ill give your a 4/10 for writing ability, presentation and the guts to help although the guide needs more information in general to be considered a guide(if i were you i would get a little more info in here before pokemama sees it)

urbestfreind
Guide to Target Skill Levels [The Guide Agility Courses: 48 (Ape Atoll) Lunar: are any of the spells practically useful? Prayer 43 (Protect from Melee) For the Agility Courses, 48 is not useful for Ape Atoll. You need 75 before you stop failing there, and at any level below that, you will fail often, and lower your experience a lot. I would say 50 is a decent level to stop at, 56 for regicide onwards. I would say that lunar is useful for farmers (Level 83 - Adds Supercompost to the patch) and all other skillers, but mostly pkers. For Pkers, Everything up to level 95 (heal group) is great, as it will help your team out a lot. Vengence is also great for you at 94, if you dont team. For Prayer, 34 prayer is a good stop for pures. This will give you the highest attack and strength prayers, along with the mid level range and mage prayers. Besides those little thoughts, this is a pretty good list (cant really call it a guide, but its quite a time saver). With a little more work, and some deeper investigation, i believe this guide will be acepted better. [hide=Funny Quotes]So you sucker punched a kid in the back of the head? Freesia
How dare you question the usefulness of lunar magic? Bake pie spell is extremely useful for creating wild pies used by lv 81-84 slayers and superglass make is useful for crafting. For farming, obviously torstol is good since the potion you make from it gives very neat exp. For thieving, I don't think thieving from gnomes and higher is even good at all. You simply get caught too much to be able to enjoy the benefits. Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(. truffoo
99 in all skills comes in handier... This is essentially where the idea for the guide comes from. What level of skills do I need to reach to be more effective in the game? You don't get much real benefit on some skills going from high-80s to 99. Anyway, since most of the comments aren't supporting this, I'll let it die its own death. aoe325
Edit : If you (or someone else) did gather a good team of advised players you could possibly come out with a great and useful guide. Going in depth about the way you want to choose. And what skills you might want to do that. Like goal levels for a pure, a quester.. Or anybody wanting to make the best of their time Sorry but like you said you are guessing pretty much everywhere....
