May 2, 200719 yr As stated its best to do less with a weight than do countless hundreds of crunches or situps. Its a more effective method. Exactly. Or even if you aren't using a weight, try to do them as slow as you can, so your muscles stay tense for longer. Same goes for biceps btw, if you want big muscles, doing 50 lifts with 30kg~ weights is more effective then 500 with 3~ kg. Sounds weird, I know :| 99 Slayer since August 2007.
May 2, 200719 yr Why would you want a 6-pack? In my opinion they look ugly... Anyways you work out and lift a lot. Really D: Seriously, which torso is uglier: Mine. Or, His. Discuss. Seriously though, don't get abs just for the sake of having them. I know plenty of people who've worked out for a month, get abs, then lose them by the next month. Mine don't really matter to me. I've only gotten muscle definition through biking, blading, capoeira and gymnastics (though my abdominals aren't very defined). I won't be very phased if I wake up tomorrow and they aren't there. (I don't know the correct syntax and tense to use when expressing hypothetical personal future events) D: If you're just out to impress the ladies, or the guys, maybe find a better, less superficial reason for getting abs.
May 2, 200719 yr hehehe ya know i tried to do sit up on the hard wood floor and well i don't think i can do over 10 sit up not that i m am fat.. it's much harder to do on the flat hard floor than a soft mat. Yeah i wouldn't want a six pack heheheh but i wouldn't want a sticking out tummy as well.. Anyways I usually eat greasy food, and haven't been working out at all :( So yeah the best abs are from having a good diet and working that area.. Jessica alba's abs would be the one i prefer to have wanna play ??^_^ total=1650+ =)time pass by so fast -_-

May 2, 200719 yr T-Roach, I don't focus on strength and body fat, rather then muscle mass. Keep in mind I'm only fourteen, my body and muscles inparticular are still developing, so it would be unfair to expect much more, unless I were to actually train with abdominal muscle size and stuff in mind. I suppose mine would me what you would refer to as a natural six-pack, solely developed from lots of exercise and good health, not training. Granted yours would have been stronger, larger and more defined, that's cool, except when they get really bulgy, which personally I find icky. Especially when they all bunch up. D: I don't think it's nice to have really big muscles when you don't actually require them. Then again, I bet you think the opposite for the most part. @_@ Ohwells, let this thread creator get some definition. Haha. I hope I don't sound too elitist D:
May 2, 200719 yr Sleep plenty everyday. Yes sleeping will help your muscles grow faster. I hope that was sarcasm. Stat Progress | Stat Averages | Stat Records
May 2, 200719 yr Sleep plenty everyday. Yes sleeping will help your muscles grow faster. I hope that was sarcasm. Um, if your getting 5 hours of sleep a night your not helping your body any. When you work out you tire out your muscles. If you're working out a lot and not sleeping enough it will probably get ugly.
May 2, 200719 yr Well you should sleep but I see no reason for more than the recommended 8 hours, no need to be lazy and sleep to much. Stat Progress | Stat Averages | Stat Records
May 3, 200719 yr Author Well you should sleep but I see no reason for more than the recommended 8 hours, no need to be lazy and sleep to much. i sleep about 9 hours on average... but on weekends i sleep around 10-11ish and wake up when it gets bright... which is about 8-9...? is that good?
May 3, 200719 yr Pauses(2 days between each big session of training) is important because its during its rest times that the muscles grow, not during the training. The training is only to show ur brain he needs those muscles, so then during the rest times, he grows them because he figures u need them. 2480+ total

May 3, 200719 yr It would be better to do 100 sit ups a night, then wait a day, then repeat. That way you get a pause for your muscle to grow. 2480+ total

May 4, 200719 yr Dude, that's bull. Muscle doesn't grow right after you exercise. Train every day, it may be tiring at first, but the result will be much better. Whatever you do, do not train sporadically.

May 4, 200719 yr NO. It grows by exercising yes, but the exercise directly affects the growth, not the time spent after exercising. Exercising everyday is much more beneficial.

May 4, 200719 yr Author umm... i dont nkow whose ways i should use...since everyone has different ways and says others are wrong... -.- edit: ...really no point for a six pack now... :wall:
May 4, 200719 yr NO. It grows by exercising yes, but the exercise directly affects the growth, not the time spent after exercising. Exercising everyday is much more beneficial. Depends what kind of workout your doing. If you're properly lifting weights you shouldn't really work any muscle group more than once a week and have a full days rest in between workouts. That's a different story. You don't need to recooperate(sp?) or worry about over/under exercising certain muscles when you're doing sit-ups daily.
