May 1, 200719 yr Author Hai guys! Look how silly we are, 3 pages of posts while the first Google result for "6 pack abs" is this: http://www.wikihow.com/Get-Six-Pack-Abs Thread closed. hmm... thats actually not that bad... although i dont think i drink enough water...
May 1, 200719 yr I have a 6 pack... All I do is 30 situps (to the side, so you only use half of your abs, then you do it to the other side. 30 situps on the left, 30 situps on the right, total of 60 situps. They are way harder than those you do to straight up, after about 10-15 you start feeling the burn.) Oh, I also go outside every day, practice parkour with my friends. That's about it. :anxious: I may be stupid but how do you do I side sit up, that makes very little sense to me. You're still on your back, but instead of going straight up you go to the left and right of your knees. The crunch way to do it is take your right elbow and touch your left knee with it, then take your left elbow and touch your right knee with it.

Sorry for not clarifying :P . [if you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.] Fullmetal Alchemist, you will be missed. A great ending to a great series.

May 1, 200719 yr Just don't get a 6 pack and not develop all the other parts of your body. Right now I don't have a 6 pack because I'm bulking and I'll be bulking for a long while so I guess I've gotten used to not seeing a 6 pack. I don't even want a fully defined 6 pack. I find that a slightly faded 6 pack looks better. Known formerly as Ameoba3000. Now known as Vigoss.
May 1, 200719 yr Sit ups are overrated, especially massive numbers of them. If you wanted big biceps would you do 200 bicep curls with a low weight? No way. If you really want a six pack, do weighted ab exercies. Crunches with a weight on your chest, crunches on a swiss ball, crunches with the tricep pulldown cable etc. Do a weight where you can do about 2-3 sets of 10-15 reps. Don't overdo it. Also, to make sure you don't have excess fat around the abs do plenty of cardio. "Da mihi castitatem et continentam, sed noli modo"

May 1, 200719 yr I have a six-pack, and i do nothing but play badminton about 2 hours a week. I dont work out, i dont eat healthily and i eat out regularly... I've had a six pack since i was about 10... It fades a little time-to-time, but then it comes back ripped as before.
May 1, 200719 yr Situps only get your upper abs, lower abs you need to do pushups with your legs up on a chair and you need to do leg lifts. To do a leg lift put your hands at your side and lift up your toes and point them at the ceiling. The important thing isn't getting them perpendicular to the ground, you need to focus on keeping you legs straight as possible. Eventually you will be able to get them perpendicular and that is actually the point were your abs should start showing up.
May 1, 200719 yr how do people get 6 packs...? As mentioned above, do sit-ups. 100 every two nights, then a light jog for about half and hour, giving your muscles a chance to rest inbetween the two nights. No rests during the jog, remember. :shame: Do this for 6 months max, and you'll have your 6-pack. Easy when you think about it. :D Remember, do the sit-ups before the jog, and before all exercise, warm up. If possible, buy dumbells from York Fitness. There's an exercise programme included in the box, and there's many more exercises you can do with them than other equipment. Hope this helps. :D Writing in colour was fun while it lasted...The Tip.It. Furry! :D
May 1, 200719 yr Lol @ Some replies. What's most important is diet. Not 1 million sit ups. Known formerly as Ameoba3000. Now known as Vigoss.

I thought leg lifts were just holding your legs an inch or two from the ground, straight, and nothing else (man that burns after a minute...); perpindicular to the ground is just resting :| . What are you talking about in the bolded part? Sorry for not being a training expert if I don't get it :| . May 1, 200719 yr Actually Reb, just resting would be paralel (sp?) to the ground. Perpendicular would be straight up. 99 HP, Attack, Strength, Defence, Summoning, Ranged, Herblore, Prayer, Agility, Magic, Slayer, Fletching, Fishing, Woodcutting, Mining, and Thieving. May 1, 200719 yr Actually Reb, just resting would be paralel (sp?) to the ground. Perpendicular would be straight up. Holding your legs just above the ground, and straight, is hard. Holding them perpendicular to the ground is the easiest thing in the world. We are talking about the leg lifts where you're on your back on the ground and holding your legs up, right? There are a few leg lifts that I know of, one of them is you lift your legs 2-3 inches off the ground(max) then lift them 6 inches higher, then lower them into the original position of 2-3 inches off the ground. The other one that I've done you lift your legs off the ground 2-3 inches, spread your legs apart, bring them together, put them back on the ground then repeat.

Ya, I've done all of those, though on the last one I just held my legs apart in the middle of the lift for about 30 seconds, then put them back together for another 30 seconds, then let them down. Anyways, those are just variations of holding one's legs a few inches of the ground. I'm just baffled at the bolded part. Holding them perpendicular to the ground doesn't mean you're strong- it means you're weak because you can't hold a real leg lift. May 2, 200719 yr FOOTBALL in the fall, HOCKEY in the winter, TRACK in the spring trust me, that's what you get in the end The world is full of self proclaimed experts who really don't know what they are talking about.
May 2, 200719 yr As stated its best to do less with a weight than do countless hundreds of crunches or situps. Its a more effective method.
