Highscores getting more and more Members Only?

Featured Replies

Separating Highscores into F2P and P2P categories is most unlikely to happen, although it would be nice.

Unfortunately, when an F2P player maxes out all free-play skills, they will never advance anymore and watch their rank drop and members with access to all skills will dominate and probably tease F2Pers about it.

I agree with you about it is extremely unlikely a non-members highscore will be made since Jagex has higher priorities. However I disagree with you on how members will tease non-members. As a non-member, quite often my skill levels are higher than members and I tease them about it.

I've been playing for 2 1/2 years and I have a total level of 969 (or something like that). My friend who was F2P had 820 total. Then, when he became member, he miraculously became 1048 total level in less than a month..

Eh, I'm fine with the highscores right now. I was always in it back when the max was 500,000 too.

I guess having the option to split the highscores for p2p and f2p wouldn't be a step in the wrong direction.

Just this question to all people who are f2p and still in the Highscores:

- How long have you been playing?

- What were your stats ranked a while (months) ago?

I started playing in the spring of 2003, around March.

I remember being in the top 90k players when my total was like 800.

I didn't really pay attention to high scores until rs2, so I could've been higher than 90k.

yaa same here, i think of not being in the top 500k, as if im not in hi scores at all, but this is extremely hard for total lvls, ive come as close as 504k, but keep dropping cuz of hunter now

i had a suggestion once, kinda like having an f2p portion, maybe only top 10k or something so nobody is encouraged to really stay f2p

-like have the top 1mil for every1, then have a top 10k jsut for f2pers

this is taking u literally, but i dont think hi scores will be completely covered with members, but ya, itll be soon cleared of MANY f2pers..

-well i suppose thats the price we must pay for not paying <.<

IO have been playing since may 2005

I peaked at around 750,000 on the high scores around the release of construction and have been droping down to 950k now.

It's certainly been very interesting to read about what people think about having an alternative form of highscores.

Personally, I would prefer the highscores to go back down to 500,000 - it would certainly motivate me to drag up my lesser skills more often for fear of being booted, I know my skills will never be booted while there are a million places to be taken for each skill.

I would be a fan of an F2P only highscores, and by the way, syzygy would be top of the F2P only highscores now, not Mendark 9 as many people seem to think :shame:

I've been playing since January 2005 and I like all other F2Pers have seen my rank slowly but surely decline. I remember one particular day a few months ago when I had an extremely lengthy session with the moss giants (between 10-11 hours) and by the end of the day my individual prayer rank had gone up by about 200 places, and then went down by about 40 overnight! :-s I remember setting myself a daily target of being inside the top 17000 hitpoint ranks while I was training daily on mossies, most of the time I managed to stay inside, but then I stopped training and starting mining and top 17000 for hitpoints seems a long long long way away now :x

I won't be making it on to the Top 200 F2P memberlist anytime soon, must be something to do with the fact that after I have reached 85 smithing, my next target is prayer 99 (good grief, what am I thinking?) <3:

Thanks for all the contributions that have been made to this discussion, it's been good reading them :D

Best wishes in your Runescape pursuits,
