hellbellz
I'm wondering what everyone thinks of NBC's Heroes. I love the show. I love how everyone has their own certain power and they all need each other. I'm in love with the show, I've seen all of them but one. I'm actually watching the new one right now (commercial time hehe). So what are your thoughts? Nanosauromo
Heroes owns. 'Nuff said. Am I the only one who thinks Peter Petrelli looks and behaves exactly like Peter Parker? It's creepy. Both have superpowers. Both are named Peter. Both have a last name starting with P. Both live in New York. Both are emo. Heroes is probably my favorite show right now, I'd rather watch it than 24. : Special effects are great, plot is great, characters are amazing, the best show in a while. vladmoney
anyone see yesterdays show? jeez touching, but not very exciting, ending. I thought peter could fly byhimself why didn't he just do that? Plus he shouldn't have died since he can rejuvinate. Whats the samurai and eclipse stuff is confusing. I think the biggest question is now what? I believe its going to be centered around the character that the girl (who can locate people) mentioned, the one person she can't locate. Gota figure out who it is, I think its somone we know. I agree, this last episode was disappointing. Season Finales are usually the best episodes of the season, but there were a few others I liked more. But to answer you questions: 1.Peter was about to go nuclear and kill millions of people and couldn't stop it. He probably wasn't thinking straight. Also his flying power isn't one he has used all that often. There is a number of other things he could have done also, teleport, stop time, maybe a few others. Another theory I think is the stance the creators are taking, which is Peter (or Sylar, or anyone else like them) can't use more than one power at a time. In the entire series neither Sylar nor Peter used two different powers at the same time, but there are still some plot holes. One is it wouldn't matter where Claire shot him, because if he is using the nuke power he couldn't use the regeneration power. 2. Who said he died? At the end we don't know what happened to him. 3. Who knows what next season will be like, but the live blog with the creator last night mentioned that season 2 would be the start of chapter 2, but chapter 2 won't last all season. That means whatever the next season is like it will only be half as long as this season to tell the story, and then chapter 3 will be the second half of season 2. Obviously Sylar will be a part of the next chapter at least, some are speculating they will pull an X-Men and make Sylar like Magneto, switch sides to work with the good guys to take on this new threat. pfilc23
A great series overall, but I too was a bit disappointed in the finale (I think they should have combined the last 2 for the finale...would have been a little more satisfying that way, imo). I thought the final scene was a bit anti-climatic. I didn't really care for the way Hiro "killed" Sylar, by tele'ing in 12 feet away and running Sylar through with the sword. Sylar had been so hard to kill before, that just seemed unlikely. I would have much rather seen Hiro and Sylar actually fight or Hiro to kill him before Sylar even saw him coming. That would have been much more believable. Just like the whole series, there's a lot of specualtion: like who's dead and who's not. Really, you can make a case that every single character that appeared to die is still alive. For example, maybe Nathan flew Peter into atmosphere, let go, flew out of explosion's range, flew back in to get Peter (who can survive blast cuz of Claire's power) and they both return safely. I don't think so personally, but it's possible. I like the inference to next season's "bad guy" by Molly, when she mention the "really bad guy" who can see her when she tries to locate him. Sets up well for a villian who cannot be defeated in the same way, since she can't use her power to find him.

This "ultimate final battle" that was supposed to be epic really sucked. Slyar chokes Peter, Peter does nothing back (he has regen so didn't need to worry about if he "died" or not, just has to kill Sylar before that) Parkman: "Someone can remotely manipulate objects. A bullet obviously isn't an object and should easily kill him" then "crap I am dead" Nikki: I'll hit him with a parking meter, but only once and not hard enough to break any bones, then leave again. Peter: Yay I am free and can breathe again, and Sylar is on the ground. What should I do? Stop time and break his neck? Freeze him to death? Phase through his brain? Grab him and fly up really high, then drop him? Use telekinesis to choke him like he just did to me? Ahh, I got it. I'll punch him in the face but not hard enough to do any damage. Powers are overrated anyways. Sylar: *in disbelief that everyone is too stupid to kill him laughs to himself* then sees Hiro and still thinks Hiro is too stupid to kill him (and he is right apparently) Hiro: Rather than teleport to right next to you and stop time and kill you easily, I am going to start 15 feet away, not stop time, and just hope you won't do anything to stop me. Sylar *still in disbelief at the idiocy of everyone* haha, you probably can't do it. Hiro: Stabs Sylar, but does it in a non-lethal spot rather than cutting off his head or stabbing his heart. Now Sylar is in the sewer still laughing at how incompetent everyone was.
Nanosauromo
Yup, the finale was dissapointing. You'd think that a show about superpowers would have a big superpower battle at the end. I think that Peter couldn't fly away himself because it took all his concentration to not explode. If he focused his mind on flying, he'd explode before he got high enough. Unless there is another huge catastrophe to stop next season, the sword storyline and "save the cheerleader, save the world" make no sense. 3 months till the DVD release... Uluru the Invincible? Maybe a story with Hiro paralleling the samurai he always was talking about (from reading it as a child, also the sword) fighting the dragon, except it's Hiro fighting Uluru. Isaac did paint it. However I don't see this happening, as soon as you start introducing monsters and stuff you will lose the interest of a lot of the general public. indy500fan
Anyone know when next season starts? Loved the first. They are continuing the comics all summer, the latest already has stuff taking place after the finale. August 28th is the DVD release. No word yet on when season 2 starts or when Origins starts. cocacolabottle
I really like the show but I think they're doing too much at the same time sometimes, it started of with like 2 or 3 people and now every average Joe seems to have a power. Kind of complicated, but hey I love the storyline, just hard to follow sometimes. 99 Slayer since August 2007.
Obsessive_Passion
Compared to most of the tv shows broadcasted here, Heroes is one of the most compelling. True, at times the plot seems too complex: too many characters, too many coincidences (or perhaps, inevitabilities?). But the suspense and style of filming, editing, etc, seems to make up for it. It remains one of the few shows I still watch on free-to-air tv (while the series lasts).

First off Peter has Hiro's power so he can teleport out of anything, he can phase through anything, what more does he need, he can disappear. He can just turn phase and SYlar can't touch him. I was so pissed when that was going on, I was like comon! what is this amature hour.
