"Be Excellent To Each Other"

I'd like to play a LOTR game on the 360, I'll search on Gamespot to check 'em out.

I don't know anyone who plays any LOTR, but I'm sure they're quite like.. Like whatever middle-age game there is.

Lord of the Rings Players Reviews - MMORPG.com

Could give that a try, alot of reviews although some can just be really crap. But it would be a good start.

I've played in the beta of the game, generally speaking it was a great game, it had the graphics, the sounds, the creativity and even the Tolkien charm. Although if you didn't really like WoW, you probably won't like this at all. Its basically speaking the same thing but with a LOTR feel.

I couldn't find myself to pre-order the game after playing it for about two weeks, it gets too repetitive, do a quest claim a reward, kill things to earn a title, buy armour blah, blah blah.. Besides the fun things to do like playing instruments I didn't find it all that appealing. Don't get me wrong I'm a huge LOTR fan, but this just didn't live up to my expectations (and I'm not one to expect alot!)

Oh well, its just my views anyway the best advice I can give is to try it for yourself and be the judge. I was hoping this would take me away from Runescape but need less to say.. *Walks back to RS*

I played the beta, and I didn't like it. It had a few kewl nifty features, but there was far to many people not wishing to party, which a MMORPG is about the people.

Its pretty fun and okay sometimes, but overall in less you got a good machine, I would say pass this MMORPG up. It just doesn't have the content 1 would want.

Also not everything is finished. Not every land is complete and you will be unable to travel there except in expansion packs (if you choose to buy 1 that is, funny huh?)

Graphics aren't to great either. It feels all the same to me and the dialog is too fast pace sometimes.

Yeah, I play this and love it.

Played the beta and really enjoyed, decided to get the pre-order version and started that.

I'm a lvl 24 hunter on Snowbourn, Ozymandias if you want to look me up. :)

"Da mihi castitatem et continentam, sed noli modo"

A know a few people who tried it, but according to them it was sub-par when put up against WoW. I haven't heard anything too favorable about it.

Yeah I wasn't holding my breath for it. I mean, if I want to play a game like WoW i'll just play WoW.

Going to a local video game store may be a logical first step.

Like Wal-Mart, Kmart, Target, any store on the planet that sells video games.

Theres also the fact that the warcraft lore is still evolving. We all know what happens in LOTR and it has to end sometime.

From what I'm reading now and user opinions, I might have to take a try at this one.

I've never played WoW, but on LOTR at the moment there seems to be a general consensus that LOTR's community is far better.

I wouldn't be suprised. The game definatly seems like itd appeal to a slightly more mature demographic.

aqlot of my friends play it and they say its fun s im going to get it

hopefuly it dont have a bad kagg on-line like runescape

If you lag in runescape i wouldn't have high hopes for running LoTR fine.

And the community is also a lot smaller. Like when I played Everquest II there were still idiots, just less in number because the population wasn't as big. I really don't see many stupid or anoying people in WoW.

my favorite community was Anarchy Onlines. Very helpful.

i dont lagg in rs inless its a realy full world like W2

so i should be fine in LoTR
