sorry if there is already another thread on this but i havnt been on TIF in a while

 

 

 

The Chaser's war on everything is a show in australia, really funny but they do some crazy things that i would never do

 

there was a thing on the news about them and their stunts and how they go too far

 

i think on some occasions they do but most of the stuff isnt that bad, just funny

 

 

 

in the news report they showed part of the stunt where one of the guys put a bra on over his shirt and started talking to the Sydney gang The Bra Boys (think thats wat it is) but that was a bit too much

 

 

 

do you think the Chaser's go over the top?

Depends where u can draw the line with "too far" cos there's always other people that feel the need to go further than the last fool. But mehh let them do it if they're having fun cos they won't be able to do it from their hospital bed later on in life. Must admit I found it rather funny in a strange way, seemed all planned out :-k

Ah, my favorite show on Tv at the moment! :D

 

 

 

Its funny because they are over the top and crazy. I found Wednesday's episode hysterical. I was almost in tears when they ran the car into the other car, when they were taking the "mickey" out of the book "the secret." Funny Stuff! :lol:

 

 

 

Oh and also for the Bra Boys thing, they wouldn't I believe get into any type of danger, making fun of them as they are in front of a film crew and nobody's going to get into any fights in front of a film crew. :wink:

Well, I don't know about The Chasers, but here in the states we have a little thing we call Warped Tour. It's pretty much just all these different types of rock bands that perform for an entire day, non-stop, and it's absolutely the second craziest thing I can think of that we have in the states, first being Mardi Gras. It's awesome though, and they give out free condoms - I guess the point of those are for people to find out new ways to not correctly use them... Last year they blew them up and started playing volleyball with them... Awesome. :XD:

Dude the chasers are supposed to go over the top! Anyone who takes offense has thier head in the sand because the chasers, although major parody material, are what I like to call truth mongers (well, on the odd occasion where a reality check is needed on a particular issue). Great stuff! :P

What I like about them is that they make fun of Australia and our politics and all that. They are actually pretty smart people.

 

When Julian was harrassing Sheik Al Hilali, I think that was a little over the top, I felt scared for him. But was laughing at the same time.

Don't look at it emotionally. Yes, the Sheik reacted rather scarily but what Julian did was not harassment. It was a direct response to a comment Hilali himself made about taping his own mouth shut if he ever said anything else stupid or something to that effect. What it basically was, was a comical response to a very real issue which drew out a rather scary response from Hilali, which shows alot about his character.

They were so true about the stamps that channel 7 uses in their news reports :P Didn't they get in a spot of legal trouble when they were selling blatantly fake bulldog's merchandise (Rubber knives and the such)? They got away with it if my memory serves me correctly :P A pretty dumb law suit (but they get much worse *cough pants and mcdonald's cough*)

 

 

 

Overall, yeah, it's a good show :P

One of my favourite parts would have to be the census night, one of the guys walks up on the stage at the theatre while the people are performing asking them for their names and stuff. :P That took balls. That and the one where one of them wore a stocking over their head and went into some stores. :lol:

that show that got cancelled, Wil Anderson was the host, it was funny as and made fun of politics mainly, i think it was cancelled because they were targeting John Howard too often... o well thats wat my mum said

Yeah they also did a Skit back in the 04' election about my school, very funny stuff from my perspective and my mates. Really poked fun at Labour.
