A few MM questions....

I'm going to be starting Monkey Madness in a few minutes, but I want to ask some questions...

First: About how many hours long is this quest? Is it like 5 hours long?

Second: I have one of two things I plan to wear....

Rswhattowear.jpg

Option A is for the massive prayer bonus to keep my protection prayers going longer. And Option B is for the higher defence. If needed I can switch out a few things, but I'm trying not to spend alot. I could swap out the DDS and use a D-Long if you think it would be better.

Third: What runes should I bring? (Level 56 magic:

Fourth: How many P-Pots should I buy? will 3 do the job?

A would be better for the prayer bonus, and I didn't even fight so def is not that big of a deal as long as you have pray. It can get quite long if you don't have all the materials. And the only runes I brought was for the ardy teleport so I can go and restock. I would bring about 4-5 prayer pots and some sharks just in case you run out of prayer. The jungle demon is strong against mage, so I wouldn't suggest maging it.

Just bring a few prayer potions, a bit of food: AND ANTIPOITION (I did it before having the herblorelevel to make antipotion, and it's really painful not to have it)

and also a fast tele out. (ardy tele being best, since you can return fast to stronghold with spirit trees; or home tele if you're house is in taverly-->gnomeglider)

dont bring any armor at all. I didnt use armor when i did this quest when i was lvl 78. Just use monks robes and a prayer book. Some food and 2 prayer pots was what i used. I can't see why this is a master quest. The hardest part of this quest was the Puzzle you had to solve.

But isn't initiate the same prayer with better defence? Why sould I use monks robes?

Monk robes weigh less than initiate, allowing you to run longer. Anyway, if you are praying throughout you won't be receiving damage at all, why would you care about which gives more def bonus?

Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(.

It's quite long. Just bring the best and lightest prayer-boosting equipment you can get. Also, bring 4 dose antipoisons. You want the best ones you can get. Get a lot of energy potions too, it'll save loads of time when you can run everywhere. The tunnel was easy, I just used a few doses of prayer potion and a few energy potions. Just keep run and Protect from Melee on. Don't bother avoiding traps, just bring some good food. Easy.

And Ardougne teleports would be the best. That, or Varrock teleports so you could use the Spirit tree to get back to the Gnome Stronghold. Teletablets own, in this case.

As monkey madness is one of the most annoying quests out there, your going to need to do at least 3 trips to get up to the demon possbily around 5. I'm afraid if you want to do it you've got to put up with the costs and time. I had to take stops between trips due to frustration and annoyance.

You don't even need prayer for the tunnel. The rocks fall at fairly regular intervals, and you can just time it so that you stop under a ledge when the rocks are going to fall.

Yes, but its way faster just to run through the tunnels so you dont need to worry about the rocks or the zombie monkeys and skelly monkeys.
