yes. i give my my rl friends or my closest rs friends stuff all the time, just cuz i get bored and would like to see them succede in their goals. i never really had any 1 higher or rich to help me out thru runescape, so finally after ive made it big and rich, id like to help the ones i like.

 

 

 

2 nights ago actually, id just givin my friend 60k mind runes for his pure mage. sure that might not be nothing to a lvl 121 (it wasnt) but to a lvl 3 with 1 mage..... 65 mage will b ez.

no, i dont give out items to get friends. i have friends, that im close to and i can share personal information and have 1 on 1 civilized conversations with. and im not poor. so that helps.

i only give presents to lvl 3 newbs at yew trees and lvl 3s walking from the essence mining place to east varrock bank i usually give them some yew logs or essences

i once got in a argu whit my longterm friend about one giwing to much in present, since then we decided to always giw a present worth the same =)

 

i gawe him 700k worth oak planks then he gave me 100 p pots for barow =))

I give gifts to my closest friends on rs on their b-days or a very special day to them. But I've never just given a random gift for no reason exept for the ocasinal (sp?) time i stand in lumby giving lvl 3s 100k and watch them explode with exitement.

Usually I only give presents to good clan mates, or old friends. any new clan mates, people i dont like, or just plain annoying people arent worth it.

 

 

 

i usually try to give something worth 100-200k or an item/items they would use, like one time i gave a friend 3k logs (mix of yews and maples) because he had a firemaking goal. stuff like that.

I almost never give gifts for holidays or birthdays, and I tell people not to give me anything either. If someone absolutely insists on giving me something, I try to find something in my bank that would make an appropriate present in return.

 

 

 

I've been known to give small random gifts, but those are just items that would be too much trouble to sell.

 

 

 

I don't think gifts should be given to brand new players. Looking back, I think my fun would have been ruined if someone made starting the game too easy.
