Zaaps1
I was talking to a friend, and had a great idea: the RuneScape Assisstant! This isn't a little short guy who follows you around and tells you if a friend would like to speak with you, but red text in the chat box accounceing a certain event. This should help many people, such as myself, never miss anything important happening again, and some options will greatly convenience some people, and then there are some which are just helpful. I hope you enjoy, and please support this idea! Here's what I mean (a few options are shown here): To set these, go and talk to any Banker in RuneScape and ask to speak with your assistant. You will be transferred to another room (think about it, this is your personal information, do you want every banker to know about it?). Here you can set a variety of things: (Post here if you have anything else that might be useful) -Percent until you reach a level, such as 5% to your next attack level. Only pops up on the skill you are CURRENTLY training and only ONCE a level.(So logging out and in will not make it show again) -Skill Announcements. For those things on the skill guides in case you miss them (happens a lot in combat or when your clicking a lot). Also when you can do something no listed in the skill guide. (Abby whips, Barrows). also pops up after you've finished a quest and unlocked new items/skills/spells. -Quest Requirements. When you get ALL the required STATS and QUESTS to start a new quest (choose between f2p or p2p, I used Dream Mentor because a friend was telling me about it as I'm writing). Items are not counted. Quests included quests points. -Coin Counter. Counts the total money IN YOUR BANK AND INVENTORY. Item worth is not counted. Useful when picking up monster drops or merchanting. You must enter in a number, and it turns off after you get it. -Turn off skill text!!!! (Such as the example given) -Check the last 3 skills you've trained -check the last 5 people you've killed -check the last 2 people you've been killed by. -check what location your friends are at IF they have accept aid on. -Check the last 5 people you've added to your friends list, and where, and if they were in the same world. -Check the last non-player death you've had. -See your bank, and organize it with preset patterns or custom patterns: -----Presets: Least expensive top, Most expensive top, Most withdrawn top, Least withdrawn top, Newest top, Oldest Top. -----Custom: Save your current bank pattern (only one) and when clicked, automatically moves the items to that order, if any new items are in the bank- they are sent to the bottom. Thank you for reading this suggestion, more will be added to it, along with event more pics. Any corrects and suggestions, please post here. Anyone who is willing to make me support signatures I will be very grateful. THE END ~It's Super Effective! Our_Moon
~It sounds irritating and useless. Kind of like the 50,000 "You add the limpwurt root/blue dragon scale dust/red spiders' eggs/ect to the potion." i've gotten (and i'm only 96 Herblore...)~ ~Honestly, who cares if you have 1,000,000 Coins? You're blind if you can't see that.~
25leaf
some of those would be helpfull. Others not so much.
Our_Moon
~Considering you're only ranked in a few (of the easiest) Skills, you really shouldn't comment about getting rid of skill information such as "You mine iron ore, ect."~ ~Maybe when you get ranked in the Members' Skills (if ever, i understand Non-Membership,) you could try reposting this. Honestly, i don't pk, so the who kills be and who i've killed stuff is a waste of time. Anyone with a third of a brain can click the "Attack" guide on the Statistics Menu and see when they can wear what. And again, if you can't right-click on your Coins and read that number, you shouldn't be playing RS in the first place.~ ~It's really useless, sorry to crush hopes and dreams.~
ThurinEthir
PLEASE stop with the "~~~" before and after every sentence. It doesn't make you look cool, it doesn't make you seem cool, it only makes everyone get annoyed. :wall: :wall: :wall: Anyways, the idea... You have an on/off option, so that's good. Someone like you (Zaaps) can have it while someone like ~~~~~~~~~~Platypus~~~~~~~~~~~~~ can have it off. And now the options... Percent until level - Good. Very good. No longer would I have to use a calculator to figure out how much more XP I need. Although RuneScape doesn't use percents unlike some other games...It uses plain old numbers. Big numbers. So how about just XP until next level? Skill Announcements - Er...Doesn't this already exist? Yeah, you said "If you miss it" but can't you just go look at the guide afterwards? But yes...Things not in the guides, sure... Quest Requirements - Definitely. Although what would happen for those with no requirements? Coin Counter - I think useless...Can't you just go to a bank, examine and do some adding? Far from a bank? Not much use for money out there. Turn off Skill Text - Definitely. No more killing my chatbox while making cannonballs. Check... - Er...Fine... Bank - Perhaps present it to Thagern, maybe he'll add it in to his suggestion as a possible thing as well... Mainly good. : Cenin pân nîd, istan pân nîd, dan nin ú-cenich, nin ú-istach.Ithil luin eria vi menel caran...Tîn dan delu.
unkn0wnwarrior
I like this for the most part. Some of the options seem a little pointless, such as the coin counter. On the other hand, some would be very useful, such as the "to next level." Although I agree with penguingeek3, in that it would more likely be set as experience points, instead of percentage. All in all, I like it.
NJE03
I really would like to see the one that tells you how much exp. remaining to next level. That would be quite useful to me. [spoiler=Stats:]Updated December 22, 2011: Total level - 1442 - 170M+ XP , Combat level - 115Combat skills: Attack - 90, Defence - 99 (24.45m+ XP), Strength - 90, Constitution - 99 (16.42M+ XP) Ranged - 99 (13.32M+ XP), Prayer - 60, Magic - 99 (13.25M+ XP)Non-Combat skills: Cooking - 99 (13.80M+ XP), Woodcutting - 99 (31.95M+ XP), Fishing - 90, Firemaking - 99 (24.82M+), Crafting - 90, Smithing - 90, Mining - 85, Runecrafting - 60, Dungeoneering -

Now you might no remember one amount. As I've said, these are REMINDERS. Yes, I nooby live with it, but some people aren't. I haven't seem many of those skill texts, your right, but they still are very annoying. But even if I haven't, I think that I should still be able to get them. Plus I've seen plenty of forum suggestions of removing this, so I might as well include it while I'm at it. Would you give one person pay if they did a good job, and one person none? No, you might give him less, but you'll still have to pay him. Also, think about from other people's point of views, you might think it's useless, but to others, it's very useful. To the quests with no requirements, they'll just not show. Also, remember you can turn it off if you don't want it. And believe it or not, there is an edit button (*gasp*) so you don't have to post again. ~It's Super Effective! Our_Moon
~Like you said, you've seen it on other Threads. This means it's NOT YOUR IDEA. So, in other words, you're taking someone else's idea, but adding on to it.~ ~There's nothing i'd want more than getting rid of those Skill Texts. Perhaps try (this is my, idea by the way, and if you use it, i want credit =) "You begin to make Potions/mine Gold/make Gold Bars/ect."~ ~The thing you should really try to look out for, as well as anyone else, is not post things that apply to EVERYONE. I don't PK, so i don't care who i've killed, considering that's no one. If you add buttons that say "On, Off, Hide, Friends, Ect." you're going to end up with a game screen that looks like an airplane's dashboard. (See below.) Try to take out the stuff that only a few thousand people might enjoy, and try replacing it with things that will please people by the millions!~ The dashboard of doom... http://www.flickr.com/photos/74656756@N00/145079177/
Zaaps1
Yeah, but if I add to those topics it'll get locked for bumping an old topic, but if I post a new topic people will say (like you) I'm stealing the idea, so as long as people are doing that I might as well add other features. Also, I never said this was in-game . It's not. I took that into consideration, instead, in order to set it you must talk to a specail person and a popup comes much like the ones in the makeover mage, hairdresser, etc. Of course, you must pay for those, so maybe I should add a fee for each transaction.... The thing about the skill texts like the one you suggested is that the game might not know if your just beginning or continuing a previous task. For example, pretend your the game, some guy starts mining gold on a rock. Do you know if that one person is just starting to mine gold, or just moved to that rock from another one? The computer is dumb, it can only process information, nothing more. If you want this feature you must set a time limit (what I mean is the skill text doesn't appear if you've performed that action in the past _ seconds/minutes). ~It's Super Effective! Acero Frio
Support! (Sorry, mate. I saw this topic, but didn't realise it was you.) The exp to next lvl thing would be very useful. (I couldn't decide which calc to use last night to work out how much exp to 55 mining- that would save having to use a calc at all, right?) :D

aquariusman
Support! I'll add a bit of my constructive criticism/ideas soon, by editing it in. There's no such thing as regret. A regret means you are unhappy with the person you are now,and if you're unhappy with the person you are, you change yourself. Thatregret will no longer be a regret, because it will help to form the new, better you. So really, a regret isn't a regret. It's experience.
