~The Healing Skill [Thought out]

Hello Tip.it.

First of all I would like to thank you to click on my topic, and to read this :D. I tried to design a entirely new Skill, and I'm sure I forgot certain things or some things could be better, so that's why I'm posting this. For your support and your tips to make this better. Please don't say, OMG this skill sucks but try to help me to make it better. I put a lot of time into this, and it would be great if you like it. I will make more pictures when people actually like this.

I'm still improving it! :D

NOTE: If someone could correct my grammar and etc, I try hard to type English but I still make (a lot of) mistakes.

Healing

Today we introduce to you: The Healing Skill. From now on, you will be able to help you and your teammates to benefit from the great powers right above your head!

Healinghealingsymbolhz3.png

Healing is an ancient, much-used skill what originally was used by Saradomin Priests. It's a mix of praying to your gods, using certain artifacts, mixing potions and most important: White Magic. Because of a leak, it spread out to several Priests of other orders, and now it's to you to develop your Healing abilities!

Beginning:

To start the skill you will need to push the Druidic Altar in Burthorpe aside, and climb down. There will be a Rogue's Den-like room. There's

a Healing-shop and instructor Nur Ce.

Healing Shop sells:

Soft-Leather Flask

Replacement for Holy Bowl

Ritualist Top

Ritualist Bottom

Bracelet of Regeneration

When you talked to Nur Ce, you are ready to begin!

There's also the entrance to another room, the Depraved Griffon Chamber (I will talk about that

later).

Potions

Unlike Herblore, you will not brew your delicate Potions in tiny glass Vials, but in mighty Kettles, which will range from Bronze to Rune. You will be able to bring your Potions with you by using Leather Flask, made by Crafting. You'll have to put your Kettle on a Fire, whether it is made by the Firemaking skill or not. Next you should use your Herbs on your Flask. You can only be under the influence of one Potion at the same time.

Crafting:

Lvl 30: Soft-Leather Flask [Carries 1 Potion] [20 xp]

Lvl 54: Hard-Leather Flask [Carries 2 Potions] [42 xp]

Lvl 72: Green Dragon Leather Flask [Carries 4 Potions] [135 xp]

(2 Leathers used)

Smithing:

Lvl 15: Bronze Kettles

Lvl 30: Iron Kettles

Lvl 57: Mithril Kettles

Lvl 69: Adamantite Kettle

Lvl 89: Runite Kettles

(5 Bars + 1 Ore, will be produced by using the bars with a Furnace)

Healing:

[speak with Healing Teacher for a Holy Bowl]

[You will need to have your Flask in your inventory.

Level 1: Tarromin's Silence [200xp]

Guam + Guam + Tarromin + Holy Water

Prevents you from taking damage for 3 seconds.

Level 26: Harralander's Patience [600 xp]

Harralander + Toadflax + Blood Rune + Holy Water

You will not be able to attack for 5 seconds. When they end, you will hit the damage done to you x2 on your opponent.

Level 40: Ranarr's Wall [1500 xp]

Ranarr Weed + Snapdragon + 5 Probosci's + Holy Water

For 3 Minutes, hits on you will be reduced with 0.5.

Level 64: Kwuarms' Strength [2100 x]

Kwuarm + Kwuarm + Super Strength Dose + Holy Water

For 2 Minutes, you will be able to hit as 4 times as much on Undead opponents.

Level 81: Torstol's Divinity [4200 xp]

Zamorak:

Torstol + Torstol + Red Bird Egg + Holy Water.

For 10 Minutes, every time you hit 10+ you will be healed 2 HP.

Guthix:

Torstol + Torstol + Green Bird Egg + Holy Water.

You are immune for poison for 20 minutes.

Saradomin:

Torstol + Torstol + Blue Bird Egg + Holy Water.

Prevents you from taking melee damage for 1 minute.

Holy Water can be obtained from using an empty bucket on the River the Salve, next to Canifis.

You will only be able to brew your potions in the correct Kettles, so here you can find what Kettle you need.

Bronze: Tarromin's Silence

Iron: Tarromin's Silence and Harralander's Patience

Mithril: Tarromin's Silence, Harralander's Patience and Ranarr's Wall

Adamantite: Tarromin's Silence, Harralander's Patience, Ranarr's Wall and Kwuarm's Strenght

Runite: All potions.

You should know there's an Feed Option on your Flask. When you click on this, you will have to type a name

and you will feed the person if he is in a 9x9 square from you 1 dosis.

White Essence

In contrary to normal and Pure Essence White Essence has a square shape, and is entirely white. White Essence

is used in the White Magics section of Healing.

You can get White Essence by killing the Depraved Griffons in the basement where you were when beginning the

skill. Sometimes the Depraved Griffons drop the White Essence.

Depraved Griffons (Level 71 & 93) Droplist:

- Big Bones

- Coins (153) (Common)

- Clue Scroll (3) (Rare)

- Herbs (All, including Snapdragon, Toadflax and Torstol) (Uncommon)

- Bird Egg (Rare)

- Soft-Leather Flasks (Uncommon)

- White Essence (1-3) (Common)

- White Essence Pouche (super-rare) [holds 5 White Essences, unlimited charges]

To use the White Essences you should use it on an house altar accompanied with a God's Symbol. This will transfrom

the White Essences in the long-sought Spirit Rune. The Spirit Rune, like many other Runes is stackable. White

Essences are not. Transforming White Essences in Spirit Runes gives you 10 xp ea. White Essences won't fit in a

pouche other then the White Essence Pouche.

Praying

When you are chappelling Bones while using an Altar with a God's Symbol, you will also get experience in Healing.

The healing experience only will be granted when the Burners are lit, and it will be 1/8 of the Prayer experience you

get.

Robes

In the Healing shop, there will be two pieces of the legendary Ritualist Set available, the Ritualist Bottom and the

Ritualist Top. They are 500k ea. The special thing about these Robes is that when you are killing monsters and

wearing one or both of these pieces you'll get 2 or 4 xp per damage you take. 2 When you are wearing one piece,

and 4 when wearing both pieces. When you die, the Robes will not appear in you inventory when you respawn

in Falador/Lumbridge but you will have to buy them again. Per time you have to buy them the price increases

by 10%.

Defence Bonus Robes:

0

0

0

0

0

Yes, everything is 0. That's the downside.

White Magic

For being able to cast the White Magic Spells, you need to be wearing the Ritualist's Wand. This is dropped by

the level 77 Slayer Monster Death Dragon.

Death Dragon (Level 121)

- Dragon Bones

- Herbs

- Gems

- Coins

- Half Shields

- Dragon Medium Helmets

- Dragon Arrows (3)

- Clue Scroll (3)

- Ritualist Wand

- Rune Longsword

- Death Runes

- Steel Arrows

You will need to have a piece of Ritualist Robe equipped when fighting these. They can be found in the basement

of the Slayer Tower, and are assigned by Chaeldar and Duradel. They will hit hard, but they have also low defence.

The only 2 Runes White Magics need are Soul and Spirit Runes. When you equip your Wand, the spells tab will

automaticly swap to the White Magics Spells. When you unequip it will change back to the spells you had equipped

before.

~Level 14:

Life in Hand

19 Spirit, 1 Soul

Restores 9 hp

~Level 29:

Shine Upon You

28 Spirit Rune

For 1 Minute, the chance a monster hits you is reduced by 30%.

~Level 42:

Light Convertor

26 Spirit, 1 Soul

When you are poisoned while using this spell you will get hp instead of

damage from poison.

~Level 59:

Blessed

37 Spirit, 2 Soul

When you use this on another person, that person will generate 1hp/2sec for 30 seconds.

~Level 72:

Light Sacrifice

100 Spirit, 4 Soul, 100.000gp

When using this on a Melee Weapon, you will enchant it. A window will appear with the

following choises:

- Trolls

- Ogres

- Giants

- Elves

- Dagganoths

- Dragons

- Undead.

When cast, your weapon will transfer in .... of ... slaying. It will increase your chances of

hitting the monster of your choice, and increase your max hit with 1. It can't be undone, and

it makes the weapon untradeable.

~Level 89:

God's Enchanting

150 Spirit, 10 Soul, need to wear a God's Item.

Guthix/Zamorak/Saradomin will heal you to full health.

looks very well made, but there is a problem. Some of the stuff is overpowered, like taking no damage for 1 minute. can you say never ending pks or fight cave ownage?

It looks more like a spellbook. Though, the idea is very nice and well thought of. I'd change the names of the potions though. They shouldn't include the name of the herb, that's quite lame.

This has potential, but some of the things are still overpowered. There also seems to be too few abilities for this to be a proper skill. Maybe you could make it something available if you have multiple skills at a certain level, not unlike using grapple shortcuts. And the names of most of the items/spells aren't that good. Other than that, I give it a 7/10 for effort!

Yes, some of the things are waay too strong and overpowering, like others said.

Also, it appears that to use the healing skill you must use "White Magic." So, to heal yourself you have to cast a spell? When I saw the title of this post, I thought it meant, that you gain xp while doing something, and the higher your "Healing" level is, the faster you heal hitpoints when injured.

One more thing:

They will have to put a new kind of magic, new kind of essence, new kinds of monsters, new npc's, and new kinds of herblore and smithing items for this new skill, that doesnt seem to need them? Usually, with a new skill released, the only thing that is released with the skill is items.

Just a few thoughts.

A spellbook :P? I see, but it has also alot of other things to do. Crafting and Smithing is both creating armour, but different armour.

I like the Potion names, but if I get more negative comment on it I might change it :P.

The abilities from the skill seem quite spell'ish. So that's why I think a spellbook would be better for this.

Definitly needs some tweaking, but other than that, very well thought-out. Fopr the light converter, does the poison get reversed only if you are already using the spell, or does it get reversed as long as you have the spell active (i.e., you get poisoned in a fight, then activate the spell, any affect? or should it be, you activate the spell, get poisoned, but poison is reversed). I also think that there should be some herblore requirements to making the potions, because while Healing can be considered a skill (Back in the mediveal (sp?) ages, there were people known as Healers, just can't remember whether it was in the "New" world, or Europe), mixing potions is Herblore.

There's no such thing as regret. A regret means you are unhappy with the person you are now,

and if you're unhappy with the person you are, you change yourself. That

regret will no longer be a regret, because it will help to form the new,

better you. So really, a regret isn't a regret.

It's experience.

Light convertor was meant for as longs as you are poisoned. Herblore requirements seem a good idea :D.

I hear alot: It is too strong, unbalanced blabla :P. Why don't you guys help me tweaking it, with showing me the overpowered things and suggest better ones :D?
