high scores

well, last time i checked, the minimum level to get into the high scores for fletching was 37. since there have been over a million members, what do you think will happen to p2p high scores? and what about the only f2p skill without 1 million people at 30?

lame conclusion but... discuss.

is it not obvious what will happen? the 1,000,000th spot will begin to rise in levels as more and more people train. its not that hard to guess, considering you already came to that conclusion by yourself in your own statement.

yes but looking at rc, that doesn't rise above 30, and it's f2p. anyone can train it, but noone does. will any members skills become like that?

eventually... all it takes is time. it took 5 years for it started to happen. hunter was released 6 months ago. give it time. it will happen.

rc has been out for 5 years for all players, still hasn't reached over 1 million on hiscores, fletching hasd been out for less time for members only, now you have to raise your level more and more if you're at below 40 to stay in hiscores. will other member skills be ignored like rc has been by f2p?

1. Runecrafting was not released 5 years ago. It was released with the launch of RS2 3 years ago.

2. Fletching has not been out less time than Runecrafting as it was released 5 years ago.

Beta was released on the 1st of December 2003. 3 and a half years ago, not 5 as you said. And on the 29th of March 2004 beta ended and all characters were destroyed, so it has no relevance on the highscores.

:?: i've always been told that they were the first people on the high scores, the beta characters...

EDIT: nevertheless, the point remains that over 9 million people have access to rc, but it doesn't have 1 million people opn high scores, but a little over a million have access to fletching, and it is already above 30 for the base lvl.

Beta characters were destroyed when the beta testing ended. The stats you gained in beta (including runecrafting) were wiped, along with any items you had gained. Your levels on RS1 were transferred onto RS2 and RSC was created.

EDIT: i have to go for the night, so i won't be able to flame back at someone flaming me or answer questions. (just kidding about the first part)

I think that the only members skill that will become the way that rc is now, will be Construction, only because there are not massive financial benefits, and it costs soo much money to train.

Fletching was released for RSC Members.

Was actually one of the first skills released for members. That and herblore.

Runecrafting is relatively new. However, the reason its not as high as fletching is a) it takes a quest, (and easy one, but people DO have to figure that out) and B) its painful to level.

For people who DON'T play that often, and Don't already have 70ish skills+, and who don't know how long it really takes, 30 in rc is pretty tough.

Plus, its not worth it at ALL in f2p. None of the useful runes at all can be crafted, so most people stop before 30 because its useless.

There are various reasons. Fletching is also way easier to level up, not counting the very very first few levels.

The first 55 levels took me less then an hour.

Had a bunch of normal logs, and cut them till 15, then used a bunch of shafts with feathers, and headless with steel heads untill 55. Ended up with 20k-ish steel arrows. Lost about 100k in the process, but its always fun to gain 55 levels in an hour  .

i think agility, thieving, slayer herb and hunter will also have over 1mil players in the near future. farming and con prob wont cause usually thier not the member skillz people go straight to 30ish when they get membership. and id group herb if it wasnt required for a bunch of quest making people train.

As stated earlier, Runecrafting does not have the obvious benefits of Fletching, so many people don't train it. It's also an extremely slow skill to train, even at higher levels. Fletching is ridiculously easy to train at any level, and the resources for it are readily available. Also, with crafting at least one of your resources, you're making good money. You also don't have the risk of being PK'ed (if using the abyss) while Fletching.

Fletching, thieving and herblore were the first skills only for members :| . Carpentry was also listed as a skill but you couldn't train it. After a year or so they added Agility and carpentry vanished.
