Barrows items at 0, why?

Featured Replies

I've always wondered, why do barrow items, when you drop them, break?

Just a question i've always wanted to find out

frigile? (cant spell it lol)

If you do things right people won't be sure you've done anything at all.

I have no idea, I think it's to stop drop trading of full barrows, or at least to discourage it..

but if you drop it noted, everything is fine lol :-k

Because Barrow item cannot be picked up unless its at 100% or 0%,so ppl in wilderness would just drop their Barrow item when dieing... (at least from what i remember)

dropping a coupon for a pizza doesn't damage a pizza either

you can only note barrows items at 100% and zero.

It has to do with the fact that if you dropped them, they wouldn't appear to the public, thus making it possible to screw ppl over while edge pking

Ooh..

But wait, why aren't things like whips like this?

Actually what i said was right...

From RS website: Barrows equipment is only tradeable when either fully broken or fully fixed.

Lets say you are in wild and getting killed, you can just drop your barrow item since nobody will see it because it needs to be at 0% or 100% to be traded.

PKer complained and they changed it so if you drop your barrow item it break right away and anybody and pick it up.

Someone said it already. You can't trade barrows items that arent 100%, so people think "hey... lets drop trade it". Nah. Dont work that way.

It just goes to show that, though there's an age requirement, there's no IQ requirement to play RS.

It's not to prevent drop-trading. I am just assuming here, but since you can only trade at 0 or 100%, they must appear that way. Lets say you use your barrows armour a bit, and instead of going to get ti repaired, you get the smart idea that since barrows armour is only tradable at 0 or 100%, when you drop your armour, which is above 50% or something, it should go to 100%. If this worked then you would have a loophole to repairing barrows armour. Also it is so that others can pick it up if you die.

There's no such thing as regret. A regret means you are unhappy with the person you are now,

and if you're unhappy with the person you are, you change yourself. That

regret will no longer be a regret, because it will help to form the new,

better you. So really, a regret isn't a regret.

It's experience.
