Use Magic to fight Treus Dayth. Protection Prayers will not work against his attacks. Just bring a huge amount of food with you and a Ring of Life to pull you out if it gets bad or another 1-click teleport. I recommend using swordfish or better and your best spell that you can use/afford. I used Fire Bolt combined with Chaos Gauntlets to boost Bolt spells to Blast spell effectiveness.

I meleed him at lower than your level, he was kinda hard - he hit me a lot to start and I thought I might have to tele but in the end I got him. Take as much food as you can and you will be fine, use dds specs then whip if you have them.

i died twice on him, and finally finished the quest with melee at combat 92

once on melee and once on ranged.

 

 

 

With mage I beat him relatively easily.

 

 

 

If you get urself to the middle of the room you can hit him in nearly all his locations with little movement and staying well clear of the carts and cranes.

 

 

 

When he teleports into the little back pockets behind the cranes/carts you can go to the side and try and shoot through or wait a little bit from him to move back into the main central area.

So magic is the best way to kill Treus?

I don't know why people keep saying that prayer doesn't work. It does, just not completely. If you use protect from ranged his little screw drivers or whatever will hit 1's and 2's rarely. The things that'll get ya are the cranes and those innocent looking, won't move until there's no chance of you escaping, minecarts.

I killed him first try at around 85 combat with melee. It wasn't very hard, just annoying following him round the room. Just Get some dds specs in early and take sharks + a 1-click tele if you need it.

Pretty much any method will work, he's not that hard. I recommend melee just because if you get a couple lucky dds specs, he's dead (rather than wasting a bunch of runes and/or arrows). You will of course need good food, an inventory of lobsters at least.

I see... So this all was just a necroing, eh?

 

Just in case it was real question, no, I really doubt Crumble Undead would work on him, seeing he's not undead.

Beware of the carts, those are your most dangerous enemies, along with the cranes. Bring a ring of life and lots of good food (sharks, monkfish).
