venomai
Very nice Vonami! I'd put some of my sketches out there, but they need editing and they may not be very Mod-Friendly....Sooo ya... What do you use to color? It looks pretty basic, but very effective indeed.. I guess...Paint? lol I'm prolly very wrong tho  Quick note if I may, his teeth look very even and his eyes are pretty friendly :P Just if you were going to pursue it any more :D J272 (Its anime, not porn by any means tho) Photoshop, actually. As i said, the pixel part is quite a wip and I still need to add all that dithered shading, AA, SelOutlines etc. Thanks for the critique. What's so un-mod-friendly about your own stuff? bewbz an bummies? Too bad if it is, i doubt they'd really appreciate "artistic nudity" being posted here.

tttia
nice work so far venomai. My advice...cheat and just use levels to darken it a bit. Then you can paint using the new tones for the rest. Well, no bears have yet been produced by me but here is a new sig piece:
venomai
Heh yea, he looks pretty ghostly.. Tweaking with adjusment layers isn't turning out as red and peachy as I was hoping, I think I'll end up just redoing it with a better colour palette. Nice sig, by the way. Cool pose and good work with the lighting. Are you working with a larger canvas, or directly at that size? Anyways, no bears from me either - but I have been working on some new techniques. This was for their daily sketch forum - today's subject was "Art of War". EDIT: Here's a brighter one. Gotta fix my monitor :x http://img398.imageshack.us/img398/2852/finalgod9kk.jpg
tttia
well this isn't a bear, but he is furry! I am working on doing some quick sketches just to work on my restatement, lines, etc. This was made to look like a quick pencil sketch though it was done in painter. bout 10 minutes. pencil, quick sketch, 7 mins during our drawing class. Kind of a fun angle :)

tttia
Just dug these up.... a quick review of my old drawings.... These were some of the ones from when I first started...maybe at age 12-13...I didn't draw much before that. a lot of my early works I derived from D&D books, didn't know what else to draw. here was a bit later one. In fact, this one had a date on it...I drew it on the back of a grade report from governemnt class haha. would have been about 16 at the time. then I went through a phase where I did conan style :) Some of them were decent...had more detail, but way off on proportions :) speaking of proportions, check out that head! haha probably my favorite from that era.... later I started drawing from national geographics after college. I never had a real drawing class. the only art class I had at all was a loosely structured water color class, so I taught myself. I still have a long ways to go, but I can really say I have improved. I was suprised too at how much I had practiced. I had tons of old stuff. That is the key folks...practice :)

tttia
since someone finally did a bear, guess I should switch topics :) angels...I still hope to get the bear done. but I keep drawing other things lately. yeah I was going for the old style, loose really airy water color look. I have done some detail stuff in watercolor like my cat picture, but that is dry brush, and doesn't really look the same in painter. here is my portrait of a truffle sniffing pig....on artpad http://artpad.art.com/gallery/?ilzsrp16qfso Here is today's work. Drawing from life, quick poses. no shading , while working out haha. Makes for a moving target, but that is alright. Considering it came out pretty well. Life drawing is so much more fun. You get a huge reference, and I worked on an 18x12 sketch pad so had plenty of room to stretch it out there. Great fun! I need to do more of this. Maybe we can start a clothed figure drawing group around town or something.
