And I keep getting hacked. How can I avoid this? Thanks in advance. Kyle99
Honoured
Keep changing your password and recovery questions on a regular basis. It seems to me like someone knows your Recovery Answers, so each time you change the password, they'll keep recovering the account with the correct Recovery Answers. Change them immediately! - Honoured :. Need A Question Answered About RuneScape? Message Me!

Scars
What Antivirus are you using? It seems like you have a keylogger. Thanks to WithTheQuickness for the sig!
kyle99
McAfee Security Center. None of my friends play runescape, but they might know my parents middle names. And no, i haven't told anyone my recovery answers And when i logged on after i got hacked, there was a new person on my friends list. But he hasn't logged on at all. does that do any good? mathgenius50
Well, first if you get hacked again, scan for any viruses or key loggers then change your password immediatly. Also, have a bank pin if you do get hacked. On-topic, you probaly have a key logger on your computer. Do some free scans online. I believe there are some on rs they recommend. Second, are you playing on a different computer. They could have a key logger anywhere. Third, have a hard pass, and make sure your securtiy questions are extremely difficult for others to know. Ex. Two of mine is what is your mom's maiden name and what is your grandma's maiden name. Who would ever know that?
Bobbington
if it's a repetative hacking it's almost definatly the same person. Set a bank pin so they cant get items when they hack you. also contact jagex and tell them whats happening they will pass the info over to ICU and they will be able to investigate and see who is benifiting from the hack. They will not be able to give any info back but can take action on the hacker. do the obvious of changing password and recovery questions every few days untill the problem stops. Master_Smither
Run a virus scan first Try ad-aware and spybot they get it all. Then when they ask for the madian name and stuff switch answers around and send yourself the answers via e-mial. So they make no sence but if u ever need to recover justc heck ur e-mail. geesch
i used to have McAffe Security and i found it wasnt the best you can get. i believe when it comes to security, you should get the best. i currently use Trend Micro PC-cillin and i have never had a problem with anything. you may consider upgrading or just continue scanning as your issue best fits a key-logger being on your computer. good luck

Kill_Thomas9
You could change all your recov answers to something like "pie tastes like chicken", and then change your pass to something totaly random. But before you do that, run a virus scan, a keylogger scan, a spyware scan, ect. Your virus scanner might not scan for spyware or keyloggers. but make sure if you use random recovs, that you remember what they are.
Joes_So_Cool
Also maybe considering getting Norton. Always remember you're unique, just like everyone else.
