Cruiser
Other than stare in aw that he still has something around that runs Windows 3.1, pretty much nothing.
blade995
You could possibly run Linux on it. Or make it into a big hardware firewall. The only Linux distro that "might" run on it is DSL Linux.
ClareJonsson
DeLi Linux would run well, it's designed for very low end systems. Also if you keep windows, keep an eye out for all them really old DOS based games, and have yourself a retro party  Addition: Wolfenstein 3D, Spear of Destiny, Doom, Jazzy Jackrabbit, Goblins and Cool Spot spring to mind :) [Assist-X]
Chris
If it's heavy enough you could use it as a doorstop. Paperweight... Anything that it doesn't really have to do any actual computing. But really. The only things it'd be useful for, would be as a portable hardware firewall or maybe a really slow word processor. Hell, wrap it up and keep it in a cupboard somewhere out of the way and see if you can sell it for a huge fortune in 50 - 75 years. :P Notoriously Trollish. Doomster
Jazz it up a little with Calmira http://www.calmira.de/ Bit of a dead project these days, but still tends the gather the Win 3.1 preservers. Depending on the connectivity, it may be ok if you need a note taker, and under Win3.1, it won't be much slower than a run of the mill system doing Windows XP today. If the memory is larger than default, maybe some chance of getting it into GUI mode Linux, but with lower memory, Linux / X-Windows and a window manger would be hitting the swapfile like crazy if it would run at all. I'm sure it does not support any type of wifi or ethernet card because those did not exist back then.

But if I remember, Win 3.1 wasn't very net workable, didn't you need Windows for workgroups 3.11 with the TCP/IP network stack? I bet you I still have the TCP/IP files for 3.11 somewhere. Jimmyw3000
z0mg!!11eleven!!11! I have a windows 3.1 aswell. it's really good until you mess up the system #-o like i did. Link it up to a colour monitour and you can see things in colour instead of black and white. Mine has/had Reversi (better known as othelo-or mabye not) and backgammon, which is pretty cool. Other than that, try not to break it or mess around too much with the settings like i did. Trust me, these things r wkd
ClareJonsson
Nooo, Win 3.1 is a breeze! It's not even an operating system, it's more like a desktop on top of DOS. The main thing you can screw up is the graphics driver, which will kill it dead. But you can just boot into DOS and run setup from windows folder and reset it back to VGA. Never Fear the windows 3.1, it's bark is bigger than its bite  LOL. [Assist-X]

Anyways I agree with rick here man, get some good 'ole dos games and have a blast.
