July 30, 200718 yr That's cool. He actually has 75 defence and 64 HP with all other skills unranked, so I'm assuming they're one. July 30, 200718 yr Oh, so I see that you've encountered a "tank pure". /me opens a bit of RSC Pure history, Vol. 2 (revision) A tank pure is a pure that neglects all melee skills with the exception of Defense, and boosts another combat-specific skill, most commonly Magic. Ranged tank pures, while sporadic, were not unheard of entirely in RSC. These variety of pures could devastate even the most hardened of combatants while mostly remaining untouched. The most common stats for a tank pure (in order of Attack, Defense, Strength, Magic and/or Ranged) would be 1 40 1 60. In RuneScape 2, since magic was redefined to only be a more primary combat force, such as Ranged always was, Tank pures had little to no real purpose to serve. They could no longer wear full Rune (chain) or any real armor anymore while casting their devastating magic at a foe in combat, so it is very uncommon to see or note a tank pure in RuneScape at all, although that is not to say that they do not exist. ------ I don't know what function tank pures play in RS2 since the combat triangle has changed so much, but it is sure an interesting site. July 30, 200718 yr one of my friends is lvl 20something with full dragon, no shield of course. scatter wind if you want to check stats, i used to have a lvl 17 rune pure, there kind of fun to make and definitly get a few "wtf's"
July 30, 200718 yr lvl 13s with rune on. That's the greatest thing I ever saw. =) Well they wouldn't do to good in a fight, but a dm they would win...eventually. A fight they wouldn't be able to ko, nor would they ever need to eat, but the opponent would run out of food and run. However in a dm, the opponent couldn't run, and well there you go. Staking, possibilities are endless.

July 30, 200718 yr 'Pures' like this have been around for years, there not too hard to make. And hes 5+ attack hense the steel scimmy. In runescape classic you could have 60 defence at like 20 combat, but when runescape 2 came out it boosted everyones combat up. Also in runescape classic attack didnt matter as much, so it was much easier to train an account with 1 attack and 1 strength. Although it's not that hard now just takes time, you can get 50-60 defence in f2p on chickens and monks easily (its been done so many time), then im guessing this guy went members and used an obby maul at rock crabs till 75 defence. Bad thing about these tanks is that people obviously drop trade, i can only think of one tank that probly didnt, hes 60 defence 1 attack and strength and has 99 theiving and is ranked pretty high :-# IGN: HesFearless. -Jamie

July 30, 200718 yr d3filed is level 49-59 combat(not sure, something like those levels) with 99 def 49 I think She is 49...She apperently lost purple phat, D chain and Legs + Dragonfire shield to a Evil Chicken :shock: ..Thats what she told me Anyways Its now impossible for people to hav 99 def at lv 49 because of the changes in Pest control

July 30, 200718 yr That's nuthing. Yesterday at C Wars a saw a lvl 45 Skiller (I Think) with 99 Defence. Nothing else was ranked. The name was Defil3d.
