You don't need an Elite to play 360 games. But you do need to pay 500+ to play PS3 games. My point is that is idiotic to say that a console will do bad because it is expensive in it's first year(s). My point is that is idiotic to say that a console will do bad because it is expensive in it's first year(s). The Ps2 didn't really have any competition though. The xbox wasn't out yet and I don't think the gamecube was either whenever ps2 was 'expensive'. Its only competition was the dreamcast. The Ps3 on the other hand has tough competition, and many people would rather get a system for cheaper if it is going to have a lot of the same titles on it. What I'm trying to say is that Sony does need to step it up a notch.

When prices drop it will, most likely, sell a lot more machines. So it's a weird thing to say that the PS3 will lose because, at this point in time, it is expensive, and ignore price drops that will come. Don't you agree? It feels like I'm on repeat. I know that Sony isn't really loved on here. But I'm saying reasonable things, right? I agree that for this moment the 360 seems the best choice. But then another theory appears, saying no; Sony needs to focus on more than a price drop. They still have to make the internet better. They need more range of games. They need...More exclusives. Sure, they have blu-ray, but does it really matter? PS3 has some fixes needed, until then they need to focus on more than a "Price drop." I don't know what kind of price drop it'll be, either. Does anyone, though? Will it be $100? $200? It's hard to tell what Sony will do, they need to make money, so they can't drop the price to a very small, until they start making money. Until then, they'll be high priced...And with the whole "PS2 sold more after it's price drop," true, but it sold more after they made technological fixes to it, the old PS2's had some problems they needed to attend to. Sony needs to stop rushing their consoles and have a beta test from now on. Basically, though, a PS3 is a PS2 with better Graphics and blu-ray. This is why many people were truly disappointed, aside from and technological problems some people may have had. I guess we'll see what this price drop actually is. From $600 to $500? Or to $400? However they also need to get some more exclusives out (other than MGS4) to really help the system. My reasoning right now is that sony has lost a lot of exclusives over to microsoft. Because of this its just more wise to get a 360 because its cheaper and has a lot of the same kind of games, and its own exclusives. So yeah if sony does act (which they need to if they want to stay in the 'race') then I see it doing much better. However right now all the negative publicity is really hurting its sales. August 27, 200718 yr What Sony needs to start doing fast is to cater to it's customers. What they are doing with the ps3 is relying on all the people that a ps2 to buy a ps3. They need to have some innovation, something like Ninendo is doing which is selling the most consoles so far. Anybody is biasness can tell you that you can't rely of customers to buy your product no matter what it does, you always need to bring something new to the table, and blueray is not the new I'm talking about.

Hdmi port blu-ray player 60gb hardrive(removable) Ps2 memory card slot and duo 4 USB connecters Ethernet port Way better hardware ang graphics Better and free playstation network Cell processor Sixaxis wireless controller and few other things and about blu-ray. Why do u care about the price of blu-ray. its not like u have a blu-ray player and don't think your to get a PS3. And i have strong bad thing about the 360. :XD: oh and hi sephiroth king long time no see
