Idk how many actually thought about the idea yet but you can use this chat as a trade chat aswell.

 

 

 

You moderate you're chat so everyone can join first, then add the comment "Join my chat" on sale forums or ingame.

 

 

 

Example: Selling d axe join Fred_S channel.

 

By Clicking on the "Clan" Tab you will hide public chat.

 

From here you can talk with the seller.

Don't worry, you're only the 500th person to come up with this idea. :-s

 

 

 

Anyways, it would be nearly impossible to get a large group of people to use the same chat room. Also, you join the chat room by typing in the name of the person who made the room, so you would have to remember the username of every person who was in charge of a different category.

They should make accounts names according to the category

It would be useful if Jagex would make like channels like "guthan spear" and stuff so people could easily buy and sell.

there is a general chat set up called "Tradechat" simple i guess...

It doesn't sound any easier than adding each other and turning trade to friends. I think it would be useful for runners to join an rcer's channel, though.. or anywhere else where one person has to get a message out to many.
