Hospital and school workers

It just struck me at how the people working in schools and hospitals are total control freaks, bossy, and frustrated. Mid 50's women usually.

Today I went for a routine exam at a hospital, and what do I get?

Doctor: "As I expected(WTF?), you did not drink enough water before coming here *condescending tone*"

Then she throws a paper cup at me and says:

"Go drink the water from the tap" and just leaves me there.

Then from the hospital, few months ago for a abdominal scan:

Secretary: "Do you have your papers?" *tone as if talking to a [developmentally delayed]ed*

Me: "Yes" *hands papers

Secretary: "Those are not the good papers." *shrugs as if she told to herself "as expected!"*

Me: "Those are the papers the doctor handed to me." *>__>*

Secretary: "Those are not the good papers" *She looks at the papers then groans as she types something on the computer before her*

Me: "Is there a problem?"

Secretary: *Glares and says nothing*

Oh okay, they were the good papers weren't they? Idiot.

Secretary: "Please follow me" *Still glaring at me, takes me to changing cabins*

Secretary: "Take off your shirt and pants then put on a robe"

Me: "Do I take off underwear aswell?"

Secretary: *Heavy glare* "Put your clothes in the space here"

Me: "Do-I-take-off-underwear-aswell?"

Secretary: *Heavy glare* "I'm going to tell you in a second. When your finished with the robe, put it here. Take off everything."

Me: "Do I take off shoes and underwear too?"

Secretary: "Take off everything" *Tone as in: I told you you fawking idiot!"*

Me: "Do I take off shoes aswell?"

Secretary: "No"

Oh okay, it wasn't everything now was it, idiot? You could have told me when I asked but nooo it would have been too easy eh? You had to piss me off before doing that?

Then for school, omg the lists goes on and on.

Teachers making sly comments at how young we are and how that makes us automatically so much *inferior* to them.

School secretaries playing Mr. Teacher tone, and talking to me as if I was [developmentally delayed]ed.

A week ago by example. I was going to my next school to give the papers of my highschool passing. I was absent for an operation and they had to requilibrate my grades. The principal of my older school had given me a paper for it.

School lady: "Do you have a letter?"

Be less clear, what letter? You idiotic school sent me crap in the mail every week.

Me: "What?"

*I hand her the note*

School lady: "Oh so you had a letter" *condescending tone, as in omg you are so [developmentally delayed]ed I was obviously (yeah right) talking about this note*

How the heck is that a letter? It never was posted, stamped, it's a frigging note you frustrated old hag.

Then I talk to another lady.

School lady2: "That's funny, they rarely equilibrate notes."

Me: "I had an operation, it's normal, I couldn't go to school". *>__>*

Omg idiotic lady, what does she expect? I'm not a slave, I go to school by my own will, and I was sick, I'm not expected to be at school 100% of my life now am I?

Then later after the corrections.

School lady2: "Heh, atleast I hope you got better" *Tone as if, you better have gotten better for all the trouble I went for you*

Omg idiot. Absolutely not caring one second about me, just wanting to make her hurtful little tone. The most obvious question, I'm standing and everything, you old hag don't care. Perhaps you old hag noticed it's your JOB to do things like this, I owe you nothing.

And pretty much, all of that being examples of how adults think I'm a total [developmentally delayed]ed person because I'm 17, heh, the nerve. They're all soo obsessed by flattering their little egos. I hope kharma exists, for all those asswholes to pay their debt to the universe for what they've done.

:? Sounds like you have had either bad experiences, or else you are over thinking everything they say and take into account the tone they say it in too much. Just ignore them and get what you need done, done.

Maybe you just have bad luck in dealing with those people. I've never had anyone act so unprofessionally to me. Perhaps you gave them a bad impression? Or perhaps they're just the rare breed that manages to get hired despite being complete toads.

Omg idiot. You don't even care and you use that rude tone. Stupid Canadian idiot.

What the hell? Why are you going straight to the ad hominem attacks?

I'm pretty sure that was sarcasm mate. :)

I assumed it wasn't, because there wasn't any funnay to be achieved by its use.

I'd beg to differ :-k . Seemed like pretty obvious sarcasm to me :| .

As a completely random side note, what's with everyone and saying "ad hominem"? Hear it so frikkin' much on these forums... God, just say he attacked/insulted the guy, this isn't a debate; it wasn't an ad hominem attack, it was just an attack attack :| .

Fullmetal Alchemist, you will be missed. A great ending to a great series.

Just like every police man I know is a control freak, are very possessive of their wives and has alcohol problems.

Doesn't mean all policemen do it or that most policemen do it, or a lot of policemen do it.

Stereotypes, juggle them.

Communication is 90% nonverbal.

No it was theorized to be up to 90% and conveyed up to 93% nonverbally, Mehrabian (1972) :anxious:

Sorry.. ocd tendencies... I don't like it when people say "this IS" if it's actually not the precise information.

The only people who tell you that you can't do something are those who have already given up on their own dreams so feel the need to discourage yours.
