This is how it all started....

 

 

 

Day 1.

 

So i had bought my guthan 2 days ago and used it for barrowing. first trip was a disaster. I ended up using more pray pots and food than i had used when i was using my cheap rune armor. Other trips were very fun and i didn't use any food or pray pots on about half of my runs.

 

 

 

Day 2.

 

 

 

I wasn't able to get online very much. So i did a few trips during the day. nothing worth mentioning.

 

(still no luck at barrows)

 

 

 

Day 3.

 

 

 

Today(the day i started writing this) I have alot of time in my hands. I want to manage m kingdom. all was well there. so i decided to do a few barrows trips and see if i get lucky. So off i go wearing my usual equipment. First is dharok. i pray and get ready to mage him. "you've found a hidden tunnel" great... so i go to kharil tomb and realy owned him. only used 19 pray points. next was verac, guthan and ahrim. all as usual. then i go to torag 54 hp. he was the last one so since he nenver hits. i though i was going to heal with guthan in tunnels. so i dig and start fighting. he hits me a 13. i think he was lucky, then he hits a 21. i calmly sidestep and think i'm safe to eat. but somehow he moved along and hit 22. i quickly eat monks. but too late "oh dear you are dead" [insert very bad language here]

 

yes, flame me now torag owned me.

 

 

 

 

 

i lost a total of 8 mil.

 

 

 

So i took a good look at my bank. I had 1mil spare cash, 1k cballs and 1k coal.

 

I started of by selling my whip and cballs. now i had 2.8mil cash at my hands. i though i will merchant alteast some of back.

 

3-4 very long hours of merchanting later i had 4835k cash and 1k coal.

 

 

 

Now i was sick and tired from merchinting.It was time for a bank sale. But i soon realized that i have very little in my bank to sell. When the banksale was done i had aprox. 5400k. I decided to mine atleast 1k gold and sell it. I found a good mine where i didn't see another soul. meanwhile i was mining i did some math. i needed to make 9mil total to pay back for my guthan and whip. I had to make 4600k. i'm hoping my kingdom will support me with this.after a few loads i realized i will be mining gold a lot longer than i planned...

 

at the end of the day i mined a total of 317 gold ore.

 

 

 

It has been a long day. time to go to bed.

 

 

 

Day 4.

 

so i got on and went straight to mining. after a few loads i was sick of it, so it was back to merchanting. i sold a total of 413 gold ores for 227k. After 2 hours of merhcanting i now have 6435k. still 2565k short from 9 mil.i merhcanted a little more and bought back guthan helm.

 

 

 

Day 5. Today i decided to sell ehough stuff to get mu spear and whip back too. then just the the stuff come back by time. Now i have my gtuhan, whip and barrows gloves back, i have 1536 gp cash. i'm broke. but atleast i got my guthan :)

You didn't protect any of it?

theirs no way you lost full guthans....you keep 3 items when you die. So unless you were skulled doing barrows.....

I believe he/she lost helm and spear. I did the same thing because my whip protected over both of them, so I came out with body, skirt, and whip. I lost 7.5m because I had lost other items. So I feel your pain :( Good luck making a ton of cash with whatever you do!

if i brought whip i won't bring my fury, if i brought d scim i wear fury... this way, no matter how i die, i lose around 500k of stuff max!!!

 

 

 

:shame: who needs guthan sheesh, healing down there is so old...i have no clue y ppl bring guthan down there, by the time you come up for 2nd load that trip, and no banking, i would of banked and came back with super energies... \

yes, i lost spear and helm + other items. i only kept whip plate and skirt.

 

And from now on i probably wont be taking guthans to barrows. for a while atleast :D

sad to see that you had to resort to merchanting though... you could have gotten a skill up... spend time in it... get a better character...

yeah, i never liked to merchant, i normaly don't use merchanting to get money, but 8 mil is just too much for me to gain by skilling

1. Because it is faster, no matter how much super energies you use.

 

 

 

2. You use next to no food, wich is good because some people don't like fishing. You also run out of it quick.

Unfortunate, i've never come close to dying in barrows and i think its easy not to if you "play it safe", i don't go in guthan but torag and i usually fight the blokes with prayer on, still unlucky but at least you learnt something out of it. :wink:
