I've been doing barrows I believe this is my 20th trip and ive been getting it to 21. I have gotten bolt racsk every single time , and was wondering if anyone knows whats a good number to get it to? A lower kill count will makes your runs faster, so that you can get more done and have more chances at a barrows item. You must find your balance. They just explained it all, it depends of what YOU want. If all you want is a barrow item and quick dont even bother raising the kill count, it's useless for you. If you want to get alot of runes and bolt racks get your kill count up, 12-16 should be enought Quest cape obtained at combat level 83, march 07. Your kill count effects your other drops; coins, runes, bolt racks (I believe D meds and half keys too). To make your trips cost effective, ie you get enough profit to cover the costs, you should be looking for 20 to 30 kill count inc the 6 brothers. Personally I never go below 20 kill count if I can help it. If you don't care about used runes and just want to get it done you may as well just get a few kills such as 12, 17, or something suggested. This will speed up trip time, and you will have the same liklihood of getting a barrows item as loot. It isn't...If you kill all 6 barrows brothers, your chances of getting an item are the exact same as with a 192348193KC. That just increases rune count. Ok, to answer your question, you're just having bad luck. People just have their lucky numbers...it's not like it's THE number to get an item with.
