Well, tomorrow (23rd Augest) is the big day for me. The day I get my GCSE results :ohnoes: . I need to get 4 more GCSE's to get into collage. So this is just a quick one for everyone who is getting their results tomorrow...Good luck to everyone!

Already had results?

If you are doing A-Level and have recieved your results, did you get the results you needed? Congratulations!! Care to Share? Post your results here, if you want to that is :)

3 As and a B AS Level, thanks for asking. Not bad As either, two of them just below 90%. So good my GP was was actually astounded by them when I had to see him today for this bronchitis lol. He says my asthma's come back!

Good Luck to everyone going BTW, and trust me, it's no big deal. Even if you don't get the grades, check with your FE college because they may still accept you. The minimum grade things aren't generally unbreable rules, they're to stop people who have no hope getting in, so don't despair!

That's almost a ditto version of my GCSEs, not that they'll get me anywhere now they've been dumbed down so much. Apparently, a new survey out today says 60% of businesses say GCSEs don't provide students with enough skills to progress in life. <.<

Congrats you everyone who's getting their results today.

Thing is, what was your problem in RE, English and Music? You stupid idiot! :P

Thanks for pointing out that topic, didn't see it. I've merged the two, hope that's okay with everyone. :)

Well done in your As levels, you did awesome Ginger.

As for my A's, English Lit is a bit dodgy, the headmaster says they're going to inquire because practically no one got an A* in that, music... well I never really could play the guitar, and who needs religion ay? :D

Not overly difficult. TBH, in some strange way, debating on a forums like this actually helps, since half of History is actually arguing your personal judgement, not merely knowing the past. I definitely feel learning how to argue properly helped me get my A AS Level in Modern History, and I learned that from here.

Here, Here... Me help you...

Well I do all my GCSEs next year but with a new system we do 25% of our sciences this year. I wasn't able to get my results but most people i know got over 90% in each exam :XD:

Latest news from Wales suggests they're results are significantly lower than the rest of the UK.

Please take into account all of these are grades that involved no revision, and when I say none I don't even mean last minute cramming, none at all.

A-History (most proud of that because I'd been put in bottom group and most people weren't even expected to get C's)

A-Maths (taken a year early)

A-English Literature

B-English Language (taken a year early)

B-RE

B-Science (would've gotten an A if we weren't given the worst science teacher in the school, and it was a top set class, she should've been teaching middle to bottom set classes.)

B-Science

B-Art

B-Statistics

C-PE (stupid practical made me have bad mark)

C-Citizenship (waste of a lesson, half a GCSE not even worth them making us do it)

U-DiDA(another waste of time lesson that we were forced to do, me and mircaleman58 off these forums did all the work in a year and left it, played games and looked at forums for the last year of "work" nonetheless we failed, so we got "served." Oh and the teacher was a pervert who only helped out the girls in the class and not the boys)

Sig by me....

two b's in english

two d's in science

c in maths

b in humanites

a in pe

thats what worries me about my history and IT classes. Both the teachers are clueless...

My history teacher is old enough to remember both world wars and can barely string a sentence together, let alone control a class and teach it.

And Our ICT teacher is completely clueless and bone idle.. honestly i've done all my coursework based on the Exam-board provided guides, with almost no input from her at all.

Lucky.. In my dida class i couldnt even get on TIF because some [developmentally delayed]s got our school ip-banned lol.

Does your area operate some kinda Nazi-inspired authoritarian style to education where you have to work 40hrs a week or you get no rations or something? Jesus!

I'm noticing some of you are only doing 2 sciences..why? They only force people to do 2 at our school if they do extremely bad in end of year tests leading up to GCSEs courses two years before :?

Instead of doing individual sciences, some schools do Double Award Science. All three put together in slightly less detail, with an award of two GCSEs. Sixth forms actually prefer it that way...
