sk8_tolivv
Hey, I just wanted to know whats the set-up if you want to range Metal Dragons using a Rune C-Bow and what are the best bolts to use there. Thanks.
CampbellMC
Best bolts would be Diamond (e) bolts, but mithril bolts work fine. Just take the max range bonus you can with Antifire shield and Rune Cbow. You dont use prayer or need defense so it is up to you.
urbestfreind
I would say this: Full black dhide (if you are under 70 ranged, I dont suggest Ranging them) Archer Helmet Any Boots Could sub RFD Gloves for vambs if you wanted Rune Cbow (Anti)Dragonfire Shield Bolt choice is interesting. I would suggest Mith at the least, Emerald (e) being the best. If you have any addy or Diamond (e), those would be great as well. Inventory is also dependant on level. I would take a few Antifire Potions (5-10), Alchemy Runes, and a 1-click teleport. Plus some food (2-3 sharks). The anti-pot should protect you long enough for a few kills (1-3 depending on ranged level). Repot every 5 minutes or so, or until you start seeing that the shield is protecting you, and not the potion. [hide=Funny Quotes]So you sucker punched a kid in the back of the head? sk8_tolivv
Ok thanks, also does anyone know if it matters if you use the accumulator or attractor? I just need to know which one I should have because I'm about to do the quest.
kysax
the accumulator its better, it gives +4 range bonus. if ur 50+ ranged, ull get it as a reward from Animal Magnetism (i think) After taking a break of 17 months, i had to come back but everything has changed way too much xD

Freesia
Ok thanks, also does anyone know if it matters if you use the accumulator or attractor? I just need to know which one I should have because I'm about to do the quest. The accumulator will attract back any bolts you fired to quiver. It may not be 100% effective, some bolts may drop under the monster. Use emerald bolts (e) for best results (poisoning effect like p++), i believe diamond bolts(e) are too expensive to be worth it. Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(.

Taoyection
Well even if your through with this thread i got a idea (75+ RANGED IF YOUR RANGING METAL DRAGONS otherwise its a watse of bolts) Armor Black d'hide body / Leather Body Black d'hide chaps Fury Amulet / Amulet of glory / Amulet of Accuracy Fire Cape / Obby cape / Any cape Black d'hide vambs Snakehide boots / Climbing boots / Leather boots Anti dragon shield Rune Crossbow Adamant bolts or better, Adamant are the lowest you will get away with. High fletching and 80+ ranging is advised (and magic to enchant bolts). Zou_Lou
There are a few good tips in this thread, thanks guys! :) However I'm a little confused about diamond bolts and could not find the information I'm seeking for in Tip It guides nor in the KB. My question is: what kind of bolts can have diamond tips attached to them and what smithing/fletching/mage levels are required to make them (I believe they aren't tradable, are they)? Many thanks in advance for your kind help in this matter. Greetings, Zou Lou. Retired from RuinedScape 12/15/07. Now playing a Tauren Shaman on World of Warcraft.Server: Ravencrest.Username: Zulu. I believe its below 70 mage to enchant, as im 70 mage and i can do it (maybe its like 65-68?)
Zou_Lou
Thanks a lot Gin&Tonic! :) I believe it must be lvl 57 mage (same as enchanting diamond jewellery). It sounds like all I have to find now is a good black smith to make me addy bolts. ;) Greetings, Zou Lou. Retired from RuinedScape 12/15/07.
