October 7, 200718 yr im ashamed to call myself irish after the way the team has performed this year. the team was let down badly in their preparations to the world cup, i personally think that the team peaked a year too early, they had an amazing season last year in the 6 nations and this tournament has been a complete let down. i dont know y for the life of me that the IRFU gave our coach eddy o'sullivan another 4 year contract rite b4 the start of a major tournament, the man is a terrible coach and an absolute biggot who only picks southerners as he loves the idea of having only leinster and munster players on the team n he doesnt give a rats [wagon] about the northern players like andrew trimble and so on. i cant believe that the All Blacks are out now, i would say now that the favourites r south africa but after 2days upset im not sure anymore. looks like its any1 game if they have a good performance 200TH TO 99 COOKING, JULY '05

Yeah, that try was a forward pass by about 2 yards it said :P They always let forward passes go in Rugby. Its a joke that they let that one through as well, but that's life. It happens all the time forward passes being let go, its not like their inconsistent on how they approach their rulings. :P

October 7, 200718 yr I think England deserved to win the game on the basis that their forward pack dominated and etc. However, I find their games exceedingly boring cause all they do is KICK. Imo, that's not the spirit of rugby union. It's legitimate, for sure, but ... it's so damn boring. .

I don't think they should have 28 year old refs with only 11 tests under their belt have control over a quarter final match. He was a shocker.
October 7, 200718 yr The game wasn't about the pass, it was the first 40 minutes. NZ dominated and only came out of it with 1 try. They could have, probably should have, put the game to bed and France wouldn't have dreamt of coming back. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.

Yeah I know, we had a shocker, if Graham Henry stays on as coach, he has to stop his rotation policy. The lads have had hardly any game time with each other and it showed. The good players had been wrapped up in cotton wool through the whole tournament, and guess what, they're the ones that went off injured.

I don't think they actually show Rugby games in most of Australia or either its on at the worst times lol I've heard there is a very succesful Aussie league so i'm guessing rugby must have a good deal of popularity down under. Whether it is the top sport or not is a different question, in most cases over here in England, rugby would probably come second to football or perhaps some of the other sports such as cricket and tennis.
