Imcleith
I usually tell that kind of people to hop, if they don't i tell them something like this: "When you steal my training place you annoy me and that could end up with me insulting you, so you could report me for offensive language. Sinse an action you did could make me do an action that you could report me for, you're technically encouraging me to break the rules" 3 things could happen now: A. They hop fast thinking i might actually report them B. They understand and hop/find another good spot C. They get scared by my grammar, call me nerd and leave
cotamatias
Reading through these latter posts makes me sad. There was a time in RS and RL when people did care about others. When people would go out of their way to help people. Not only did that person refrain from helping, they actively tried to be a jerk. Don't you people understand? It's a game, yes? Well guess who controls those other pixles you're being a {cabbage} to? That's right, a real, live, breathing person. There is never a good reason to go out of your way to be a {cabbage} to someone. I feel that the person who is there first hasdibbs, but that means they also should be generous. The person who is there first should split the monsters. In this situation, the 110 and 126 went out of their ways to hurt someone else. I prefer people to be a little....oh....whats the word? Oh yea, HUMAN! That's what seperates us from the creatures of the wild. In the wild it's "If you're smaller than me, you're food, if you're large, im gonna kiss up to you." Humans are supposed to be in a society where we all agreee to be decent to each other. They get scared by my grammar, call me nerd and leave That's another thing that disgusts me, grammar. People in RS are always using this so called "Leet speak." It makes them sound like they are 7 and have not gone through any schooling at all. What ever happened to the comma? Or to typing out the whole word? Nenga
People have been like this ever since I started playing, but over time it's evolved from everyone calling everyone else a noob, to cannoning every thing, to almost killing monsters and then start on the next one, to taking your kills or 'helping' you. I'm a nice guy irl, I have manners, I hold the door open for women to pass through first, etc. The thing is that I don't associate RS with IRL, and see no need to, as it in no way affects who I am when I log off. SirHartlar
I don't like it when similar things happen to me, but you just have to shrug it off and be the better person. I bet you have done this to people before too. The world doesnt revolve around you, nor anyone else. Rude people have always been around, and they always will be around. Sorry, lifes tough. Get a helmet. In my six years of playing I do not recall once where I have taken other people's monsters, I always change if other people are at a certain monster. To FooK-A-Ji: Why shouldn't the rules of the "real world" apply to an online video game? Afterall, the fact that the game is played with other real people suggests that it should be. I'll use an example from a topic a couple of weeks back. If you were playing basketball in real life on a public area, but there was another free court right next to you and a bunch of people came along and started playing your court wouldn't you be annoyed? The same thing can be applied to this situation, just replace court with spiritual mages. I'm at the mages killing them, then someone comes along where there's a bunch more mages in the dungeon and loads of other worlds free but they still choose to stick around. What's the diffrence between the two examples? There isn't any difference, in both examples you're trying to enjoy something and someone else is coming along and ruining the experience when they can see that there's plenty of opportunity to be able to do what they're doing elsewhere without disrupting someone else? Fine, if all other mages were taken on the server, but they were not. I don't mind sharing as long as it's reasonable to do so. And on your cartoon comment, you act like cartoons can't be enjoyed by more mature people, you sound like one of those people that says video games are for kids when they clearly aren't, they're to be enjoyed by all ages. And for your information, I'm 18 and I often get mistaken for being quite a bit older than I actualy am. I have no idea where you got the I'm immature thing from. Yeah, I guess complaining about other people not behaving like people should behave is immature now...
warren211
What really annoys me is that people believe that because they logged in first that means they have priority for the monsters. I kill blue drags, I get this a lot "nub, i was here first". Being in a world first does not mean the monsters are yours. Ever thought maybe the 126 or 110 who took your spirituals might have been hopping for a while? Perhaps they've been hopping for over 10 minutes only finding over crowded worlds. Finaly, they find a world with 1 person and take it. Do you consider that? all you think about is the fact that you kill them and then someone else comes. You don't even consider what he's been through. I have this experience with blue dragons too. I would not like to hop every time someone gets ticked off for me interrupting their world. If I did keep hopping, I mgiht spend half my computer time just finding a deserted world, only for 10 mins later anotgher guy comes. Nobody cares how long you need to kill the monsters or for what reason, and they don't need to care. They kill their monsters, you kill yours. if you don't like another person killing your monsters, you have every right to switch worlds as the other person. [hide=]tip it would pay me $500.00 to keep my clothes ON :( :lol:But then again, you fail to realize that 101% of the people in this universe hate you. Yes, humankind's hatred against you goes beyond mathematical possibilities. That tears it. I'm starting an animal rebellion using my mind powers. Those PETA bastards will never see it coming until the porcupines are half way up their asses.[/hide]Apparently a lot of people say it. You're complaining about the way YOU THINK people should behave, not how they SHOULD. Theres a big difference, now step outside of your own little head for a change, and realize that most people play this game for their own personal enjoyment, meaning they couldn't care less about you're feelings, or anybody elses, if it doesnt have a direct influence on their enjoyment. If you don't like that, than theres really nothing you can do, except find a game where the rules about manners are as strict as nazi-germany anno 1939-45.
